I never was much for those careers in 3 because while i controlled my ebin ghostbuster/detective/firefighter on the other side of the map the rest were starving, peeing on themselves and shit at home because one of them constantly blocks the bathroom or kitchen forcing you to constantly hop between home and careering it up.

Atleast in 4 even if you go do those careers or just have your chick have a date with her bf and leave the parents at home you can still choose a bit what the non-controllable sims do at home.

The one problem I have with ts4 is that it's updates screw up your mods a lot more then 2 or 3 did, the newest update fucks up nude clothing pretty badly

Modders are still learning the new engine and code, plus I've heard some express disinterest in even learning it as they still prefer 3. Give it a few years when more content comes out for 4 and there are more user made tutorials of how to make shit for 4.

I'm not too sure. There are some options under pregnancy > adult. But I haven't played around with them too much. What would you want changed? When they're fertile its a pretty high chance of conception, and when they're not/ you use a condom, it's 0%. You can turn off the menstrual cycle.

Yeah, it recommends you don't use error trap. It's one of the only mods that conflicts with it (that and stuck check and uniform cleanup for overwatch)

Yes there used to be magnet link to a 30GiB zip file released by Games4TheWorld with all expansions/Stuff packs in it.
Hopefully I should be able to recover the last pre setup mod archive with links to the loli mod, however it is using the for the time latest public version of Kinky world. I tried letting the game run by itself for a few ingame days on the previous patch and I had no pathing errors. It's definitely the 310 patch. It could be due to me playing a saved game rather than starting a fresh new world, so it may still work fine for some, but I'm just going to wait until the next patch.

Basically I'm doing a dynasty playthrough where I try to grow up kids in a poor, overworked household. So far my household only made about $5 in the past week and was up for the past 4 days straight taking care of the children. Fortunately I've hit the toddler stage which means less interruptions but more timesink.

Better than 3 or even 2 in many aspects but… lack of content especially some that would be almost "critical" like the shit Generations adds to 3 or Seasons.

its character creator is a step above the usual sliders shit, but that's kind of where the brilliance stops

there was a fuckton of what would be considered standard features in previous Sims titles cut from the core game for packaging in later expansions (shit like pools and child states). Much of what was missing was patched in by the development team for free (probably a fuck you to the bosses)
there's potential there but EPs aren't coming out fast enough to overtake Sims 3

also, it's back to Sims 2's instanced lots. No open world a la Sims 3. On the one hand, that's an easier game to render. On the other hand, one step forward, two steps back

There's more masculine ones out there, they just have preview images covered in text.

The character creator may be a step above, but until they add create-a-style back in, it's worse.

The funny thing is they did that to cut down on the load times, but now after a few expansions, it's back to the same load times, except you have to face more loading screens with instanced lots. Hopefully sims 5 gets the coding for open world right and can deliver something that actually feels like a step forward rather than a step back.

Though i have to say i never really got into the whole "Wow such open world much fun!" train in 3.

Sure it's neat but… 95% of my game takes place in the lot my house is anyway mostly because even with small worlds if they are populated with townies, all rabbit holes and a bar,park and such shit the hopping between lot to lot can get quite jarring even on good computer with having to wait for the textures to load up etc.

Though i really like the overall exploring the world and im meaning NOT LOTS but the shit around them like gathering shit, fishan and such.

Shame there's not really any rural custom worlds that have relatively big map-size but made in the way that just having your small farm'n barn there and nothing else wont feel out of place.
Most maps fuck it up by going all "YOU CAN FRIKKIN BUILD YER OWN TOWN!" placing cement roads going every fucking where which only ruins my immersion of living innawoods.

I get what you're saying and I too spend most of my time on my lot. But it just feels too walled in with 4. It's just the freedom that if I choose to go somewhere, like the beach or the park for a festival, or even just the library or shops, I don't have to wait for a loading screen, and I can freely move the camera around the world to plan where looks good to go. Plus with the schools in kinkyworld, I spend a good deal of time there as well.

It's just a nicer, more immersive world when there is space between locations. You know how far your house is from the town centre. You know the houses on the way and the small bits of nature. It's even better with seasons and wild animals (in pets). It just feels more complete.

Yeah, they should've atleast tried to make a compromise with say the 2-5lot hoods you live in being open or make them smaller 3~ lot hoods if needs to be but still open so you could atleast have your kids visit the neighbour without loading screen and being unable to control the parents or build a small bar/hang out in the same hood where you could send your sims in the evening to meet others again without loading screens to piss you off but eeh… consoles, going where the fence is shortest and if i remember right 4 was initially set up to be some shitty online/mmo at first.

Think i'l try to make my own hood for 3 for once though, i'm not happy with EA worlds but neither am i with custom ones as every worldmaker seems to take it too far.

Install the sim3pack files, drop the other in Saved Sims and simply load them in household editor.

You may need the various hairs and additions from the other .rar file in the same share folder. Ignore any duplicate household files from that one, they re older version (though there are a 1-2 households there that I forgot to put into this one…like the catgirl "Miyau" household).

You might also need the fantastic set of hairs.

Are big worlds hard to manage? I was thinking about making a little big Sims 3 country world.

Depends mostly on how much community and residential lots you have.

Even small worlds can get fucked up if they are filled to the brim with unnecessary crap like sports bar and such shit.

No idea, i dont know how it handles the service sims exactly but even those can easily go up to 50sims in a world if you dont limit their amount with Nraas Register.

Oh, and can you make other sims be responsible of all jobs? removing NPCs all together to let house owning Sims do everything.

There's an option in Nraas… story progression if i remember correctly to make it so that residents start taking service sim jobs and even disabling the immigration of service sim NPC's from the world but i dont think it works perfectly.

Especially the fairground festival lot and it's workers (the stall and something else which i dont remember right now) fucks up when the season changes and i may be wrong but last time i played it felt like some resident sims just dropped their service jobs at random because fuck if i know why and went to rabbit hole jobs but then again that can be remedied by disabling rabbit hole careers for them in story progression.

I had the same issue in the basegame world, anothe rissue I'm having is pic related. lower LOD models stay loaded for some reason, i suspect it has the same cause as the other lag cancer.

That's certainly doable, i think 10 or less is pretty easy to get with Nraas options.

There's only a couple of jobs where the game forces spawns even if you completely disable it and seems to throw a random npc in to the job like newspaper delivery kid atleast.
