Bill passed to let ISPs sell data

No one seems to be talking about the recent bill that was passed, so I guess I'll start a thread. Last night Trump signed a bill into place that blocked the FCCs ability to keep ISP's from selling data without consent. Trumps got a good reason to back this, right?

Yuropoor here. I have some questions regarding this. As I understand it the bill basically allows you to sell someone's browser history.
Does it also allow you to sell the corresponding ip-adresses and other data?

Any data that your provider gets, so yea, I think so

Ayup. This allows them to do all manner of creepy shit without telling you.

This is one of those "Trump needed to stop this" things.

So what's your gameplan, guys? TOR, VPNs? Internet Cafes?

I already use a VPN, because I don't want my ISP to even *have* that data, let alone sell it to other people.

I can't believe Trump didn't listen to us on this one, though. Does he not understand how important the internet is to his presidency?

It's actually to CONTINUE letting ISPs sell data. They could before, this is nothing new.

The argument I've heard Republicans make is that this let's ISPs have more competition with the bigger companies that weren't going to get blocked (jewgle being the biggest one)

...

I hope you made sure that your VPN is secure, because there are VPNs that turn you into a botnet (as with the hola thing and fiasco when random cuckchanners were banned even though they never posted on cuckchan ever all those years ago) or VPNs that explicitly say they will not hesitate to sell you out if you access "extremist content".

You can use VPN or TOR, but they are traceable. CIA or NSA owns a lot of TOR nodes, so every time you access anything you run a high risk of getting caught on these nodes. Then there is ISP is inseparable from internet, so if you download anything ever on your computer, your ISP has the capabilities to trace you. You can't hide much on the internet from someone who provides your internet connection. Your best bet is just not using a private computer of any form, if you don't want your ISP selling your data.

Not really.
As long sa he doesn't explain it himself, all you can think of is that someone told him to sign it and that it would be good for the people/companies/whatever.
Unless he has some personal stake in it that I don't know about.
Or he simply doesn't care anymore.

oh yeah…

That means imams will have to discuss plans with rabbis in parks like the old days.

One sentence bill ignores regulations that were never put into place. The FCC reclassified Internet communications to give them and law enforcement more oversight over it. People did not read the bill, nor the regulations, nor did they understand the political implications of doing this. They just got mad, because the media told them to.

Then explain what the positive political implications of doing this are.

Guessing this is some of the stuff he had to agree with to get support during the election. Who's the (((lobby))) behind the ISPs in DC?

/thread

This is why you don't just let Trump make mistakes, if he hears nothing he won't do anything, like the Healthcare fuck up he compounded by lashing out at the wrong people. This is trash and he should be let known from his supporters.

Companies have already been able to sell your info. They don't because it would kill their whole company in less than 24 hours if anyone found out.

Basically nothing has changed.

The president is the head of the executive branch not the legislative branch. The fault is on Paul Ryan but I'm sure you've been getting your info from people who are calling it "Drumpfcare" or some shit.

You think the average normie cares about that? AS long as the tv is running and they can go clubbing on the weekend, they'll swallow everything.

ISPs have already been selling your information to advertisers and since Jewgle/Kikebook/Twatter have been doing it for years, it doesn't make sense to only ban ISPs from doing it. The whole thing is a King Nigger D&C tactic, which is why he signed this shit at the end of his presidency and it wasn't scheduled to take place until months after he had left office. Stop getting your news from (((them))) and actually do some research.

The fuck are you talking about, the President sets the agenda he wants and signs everything he doesn't want to stop.
Paul Ryan deserved the blame for healthcare until Trump personally attacked people for not voting for a steaming bag of turd, it was the biggest fuck up he's made so far and it was not one to brush off as anything other than a fuck up. If you do, you get more fuck ups.

Do we have an OPSEC general thread?

Anyone not using a VPN is retarded. This bill allows for more oversight of what's sold. read

this fucking faggot again. At least give yourself a trip so people can filter you indefinitely.

More then just one user is sick of Trumpelwitz, you should of learned that when this echo chamber was down.

I'd argue that the stopping of settlements, purposefully leaving out jews on the holocaust day announcement, having the fbi go and arrest the literal "hey rabbi" kike in Israel, and the general kvetching from every kike imaginable would be enough to blow out that shitty narrative, but what do I know Holla Forums?

...

faggots believing MSM propaganda when the law wasn't even in place yet that would have blocked anything, and companies could already sell from before

in fact by doing this he's showing that ISPs are scummy as hell and no one gave a shit when they were doing it under Obama, now that Drumpf is pres we blame everything on him and the right. also shows republicucks as idiots

And by signing the bill he enabled that behavior.

Eh, Holla Forums is just butthurt that their 74 simultaneous "wtf, we need a thread on this!" disinfo threads on this topic failed to trick us into supporting the Democrats and to ask Trump to support retaining Obama's FCC power grab.

It will take them even longer to get over it because their board was scheduled to be last of the mainstream boards to come online—they don't know how to react to lack of central command and control for board raids like this.

And now they can shut it down. You think that the shitters in Congress will support it once people buy their browsing histories?

I thought I'd get to enjoy/pol/ today, but we wont get to rest until Holla Forums and more urgently /furry/ are brought back up.

They already did, that's why it passed.

i hope congressniggers get their nigger scat cuck porn web history dropped by wikileaks or by some shit like the cloudflare leak. they might care then :D

I think americans will be shocked by the amount of time they spend on the aipac website.

I don't fucking use faceberg or Jewgle, I have an ISP, that is not good enough. The reason Trump doesn't give a shit is nobody fucking bothered to make a big deal out of it from our side. They are either Bill Mitchell tier faggots or too afraid to get banned on here.

Test

The fact that the law wasn't in place yet doesn't mean anything other than "it was bad before."

Yes, they could already sell our information before. That doesn't mean that we should let it continue to happen, and that doesn't mean that we should stop laws that would fix it.

Dude, they're on the same tier as furries.

this tbh

Only about 20 percent will be shocked. 20 percent will be indifferent and the other 60 percent will think Congress needs to spend more time lurking for Israel

DAMN STRAIGHT. It is literally the fucking jews every damn time. jfc

i should say kikes, sorry guys.

Are you new?

They support it because they're retarded, now they're fucked.

Unless you want a Democrat Congress to do it along with the next 50 affirmative action laws this is the only way to force it with the Republicans once the lid is blown on their private lives.

yep newfag pls no raep

...

Didn't some nigger said he was going to buy all the politicians browsing history and make it public if the bill passed?

It was Mark "Cuban" Chabenisky.

No It was some other rich faggot.

Well fuck me it was Cards Against Humanity man and Cuckgress wrote in an exception for themselves, so fuck it all.

Actually nevermind it's part of existing law:

-The rule wasn't implemented or being enforced yet.

-It's implications on the allowable types of administratively implemented regulation by the FCC were much worse than anyone has brought to this debate.

-The privacy angle is just the angle of attack on this, since it strips power away from the fed regulatory cabal.

-You guys actually believe they were going to follow the new "privacy" rules anyways?

Please tell me you guys aren't this retarded.

Since it's a fucking meme I don't really believe it, but getting the Wiretap Act involved during the Obama wiretapping episode might be some 1D chess.

I don't know why you use "-" instead of greentext, but it fucking triggers my autism and you need to stop now.

Habit. The triggering is also worth it.

Back to reddit, Untermensch.

Watching the msm kvetch in unison should've been enough of a signal that what happened was a good thing.

I've been shitposting here since gg days. Fuck off with your d&c bullshit kikasaurus.

Forgot to mention that in my post, but yes. Everyone is focusing on the "privacy" aspect of this and not vast number of other angles.

After all these months of bitching about the MSM D&C, too many of you are falling for their bullshit.

Now faggots are doing it here.
It really makes me laugh.
