What are some good games where I can command a ship/fleet?

Kantai Collection

harpoon

it's more simulation than game though

post cute kancolle girls

thanks m8, I'll check that out

Fuck off, weebs

Napoleon Total War

A buddy told me that too.
Is there a way to only play the naval combat or do I have to do the other shit as well?

Any game where I can use a sea scooter?

There's 2 games for ps2 about that, if you can read moon. Look for warship commander.

this pain, its doesnt go away

This is great if you are into WW2

It's also dead.

Yeah you can just play the ai/campaign

Damn that was a decent game series that faded into absolute obscurity. And considering you got shit like World of Warshits out it is shameful considering this game came out decades before it and did shit better.

The PSP version of WS2 is also way superior to the PS2 one if you can read moon.

World of Warships is pretty fun, although a lot of said fun is locked behind a heavy grind.

Thing is, Warships doesn't do anything better than the Battlestations series that came a decade before it and actually does a lot of shit worse. Boggles my mind actually how you can have a shitty knock off of a good game and everyone will play it a decade later, meanwhile a good game that played really well is forgotten about.

Don't be retarded.

He said GOOD, not TOTAL AND COMPLETE SHIT.

Try the following:

- Battlestations Pacific
- Pacific Storm (Allies)
- World of Warships

anime titties make everything better

i know this is bait, but isnt that game a pay to win cars game? were the chinks go full jew even with the damn comics porn?

...

i fucking hated that shit.

Empire total war has a surprisingly good naval combat play.

Boarding actions are shit because the boarding uses the shitty melee mechanics of the engine, but the gunpowder-based combat (ie ship cannons) are well enough.

Silent Hunter. You don't manage a fleet, but a single submarine.
Don't get 5, it's bugged beyond anything you will ever see and walking around the ship doesn't add too much. Especially once you realize that there are only 20 lines of dialogue with your crew, and the characters are ripped from "Das Boot", and not in a good way.
4 is allright. Still buggy (thank you ubi-nevergonnabuyoneofyourgameseveragain-soft) though, but mods can save it.
3 is nice too, but it didn't age well, and something feels off about the scale and ranges.

1 and 2 are 2D only, which is ok, but it won't get you the feels.

Silent Hunter III with whichever of the three big mods you like.

I'd recommend GWX but subsim.com will have the details on everything.

Mods user. I can't even play vanilla now without wondering why it feels so shitty.

It's dead Jim.

Battlefleet Gothic might satisfy the craving, RTT in space with non symmetrical gameplay. 2d not 3d battlefieldds with heavy focus on broadsides/boarding/ramming. A lot like line ship combat except with hulking space ships. It's great I'd recommend checking it out.
