So, what happens if I am an OC producer and produce tons of ultra-rare pepes? Then I can effectively make myself super rich right? I don't know how this works, but I know how I'd implement it: have a bot/crawler that goes over the web and sees how many "copies" of a pepe it finds. This produces a meaningful metric of the present-day "rareness" of a pepe. Then one could screw me over by spamming my recently created OC pepe. The way you'd have to do it is if a pepe doesn't appear for a fixed length of time its value plummets, otherwise when the popularity of a pepe disappears/your OC isn't posted anymore, its value would go too high. Thus, if we have it so that a pepes value drops if not present for a set period of time and value depreciates the more copies found, one would have the optimal pepe if it's popular enough to become a part of the chan concious, but not enough to become a "meme".
I don't know if this is at all related to what htey say in that article, but it's my ideas for how I'd implement "pepenomics".
