Nobody cares about the femnazi outrage, it's the sales that matter. Most AAA games that try to pander just don't sell nearly as well as ones that do.

Money and sales is all that matters and the only thing that truly dictates what works and what doesn't in this industry.
The rest is propaganda and clickbait artciles that are completely meaningless.

Something either sells, or it doesn't.
When something doesn't sell, entire dev teams are shut down, every time, you either bring results or go home, regardless of your "noble" rants on twitter.

Halo 5's sales have to do with the fact that Halo fans hated 4 and MCC was bugged, so absoultely nobody trusted 343 to not fuck up, combined with that almost nobody owns an xbone and halo hasn't been a major industry leading franchise in almost a decade now.
