This, This doesn't even have it. Even worse, unlike the MacFarlane cartoons, they're NOT aimed at kids. So it's not only bad, it's actively hurting kids.

In one episode, Beastboy gets involved in a pyramid scheme where he's the 'Money Sheriff", which he then recruits the rest of the characters into as his 'money deputies' all while using awful cowboy talk… and then the Money Mummy shows up, from a giant pyramid in the ground for no fucking reason, and it's revealed that he's behind the Pyramid scheme.. so they have a western shoot-out and then they make a few cowboy jokes and it ends.

In another episode, they decide to start jumping around and touching stuff. Robin insists that his buns make him jump the highest, but Raven shows that her 'leg power' makes her better.. then they all get leg powers and jumping around the city touching stuff.. then their legs turn evil and Raven has to defeat them in a leg battle where she breaks all their legs. The end.

So every cartoon has to have a point now? Also:

None of of the humor flows naturally. It's a show without actual jokes (setup, delivery, punchline) and instead just spams the same silly things throughout the episode. All it does is beat a dead horse and it doesn't even have the decency to have it make sense contextually. They just randomly pull shit out of their ass and stick onto a character regardless of prior characterization or situation relevancy. TTG is probably so popular with kids because it perfectly encapsulates the worst aspects of them. It's vindictive, petty, quick to make fun others but will constantly cry when its own faults are pointed out.

You can feel the crews desperation to be the next meme factory show like classic simpsons and spongebob. But difference is those shows had humor that could stand on it's own.

Cheap, Flash animated garbage that CN tries to shove down kid’s throats and generally is a time slot glutton that prevents any new material from having any impact on the channel. But it is a hit with the target demographic, children. Older children and adults will hate it, but hell, my parents hated the shoes I watched as a kid and those were things like Ed,Edd,&Eddy and Samurai Jack.

So you had a fun show with likable characters, all of whom had some depth and personality to them. It was a show where drama, humor, and action could all happen in equal measure and none of it felt out of place.

Now take all those interesting characters and flanderize them horribly, and remove the drama and action parts of the show. Actually remove the humor part too, but pretend you didn't.

That's why people hate it.

This show is attempting to be a satire of a kid's show, except it is for kids. They had an episode where Black Friday was treated like a religious holiday and Starfire was shunned for not being a consumerist whore. In the end she fixes her ways by buing meaningless crap.

There was another episode which had a moral lesson that if you don't watch television your brain would rot and you'd literally turn into a zombie. Great lesson.

Yet another episode where the titans future selves go back to help them become responsible and the titans rebel and literally do a bunch of shit to harm their future selves, eventually making it to where they're destiend to die by age 30.

Besides these terrible episodes, the thing itself is terrible. Bad animation, bad writing, bad personality, and they mock anyone that says its bad (as has already been said in this thread). It seems that the creators have become lolcows, as /pone/'s Political Autism Thread has discovered surrounding major cartoonists all involved in My Little Pony.
