I find that Zizek hates democracy more and more when he discovers that the working class don't buy into Idpol crap and aren't so stupid when it comes to dealing with immigrants and refugees. I find Zizek is too gentle when it comes to immigrant, minorities and also smears the white working class as "racist".
His support of the EU is stupid and bizarre, as it fails to protect workers and it's really an Idpol bourgeoise clubhouse, with unelected politicians controlling the lives of it's members.
Is Zizek a fraud and a fool?

I disagree that Zizek is 'gentle' on migrants, but his position on them still doesn't make sense. He basically says 'let them in, but make them integrate', which presupposes the ability and willingness of both locals and migrants to make integration work. However, the evidence suggests that some migrants don't and can't integrate. Zizek is on the same side as the liberals who cry after each terrorist attack, 'we need integration!', as if various countries with various strategies hadn't been struggling and failing to do that for decades already.

I'm not racist for wanting to have proper border control. And it's not a conspiracy (just because it's exaggerated to say "Merkel wants to replace the germans" doesn't make the concerns about what's happening right now less valid) if I see this propaganda myself everyday in the media - our border controls don't work, immigrants are being told how fabulous they are -> massive drain effect.
Which is pretty bad for the Third World as well - those who are really poor often don't have the money to make the journey and even the very few academics amongst the immigrants are the ones that are being missed in their homeland.
