Why are rich people demonized? IMO the poor should be more demonized than they are:
The rich are civilized and contribute to society in positive ways. They create products and services that improve everyone's life and they create jobs. Poor people are just parasites.

I was brought up in a town with a lot of poor people (i.e on drugs, selling drugs, thieves, etc)
I was pretty poor but my family had nothing to do with that shit. A lot of people don't understand that 1. poor people are a product of their environment, but they also don't understand that 2. that doesn't excuse that kind of behaviour.
Understanding the cause doesn't excuse the action. The same with the rich - capitalists become capitalist either through inheritance or because they were desperate not to be poor. You don't blame people for the reason for their behaviour - but you can demonise anti-social behaviour that harms others.
