You can't create one of those, or even fork OpenGL and rebuild it to make sense (and OpenGL makes no fucking sense at this point in time) so Vulkan took a while. But it's supported by major hardware and software vendors so we're all good to go now.

It's a hyper competitive field and people need to learn that certification doesn't really mean much even there, and like any other industry, you are competing against other peoples work ethic and practical ability. So when I see people complain about being STEM and jobless (or underemployed), they need to understand the market is an ecosystem like anything else, and they just stepped into a far scarier pond and unless they took steps to be the best, they aren't going to get much of anything.

Nope. I have been in both engineering and accounting, and all of the teachers were complete retards. Many had PhDs. In fact, one of them had two, and was also a politician and a lawyer and still certainly had an IQ of less than 90. That guy couldn't even write one sentence properly.

I know more about their subjects that then do. They don't even have a grasp of basic grammar. Teachers are completely worthless. I dropped out because that environment is so beneath me that just being there was humiliating.

I make barely $25k a year in a management position for a telecom, and the only time I put my degree to work is when I'm troubleshooting computer and car electronics. For myself. Even when I was still in college, my professors told me that there would be no jobs available in my field unless I found someone who already had one, and killed them to create an opening. People get in good with a mill or a plant, and have a fucking job for life, dicking around and ordering refab boards from China for pennies because everyone else thinks that technology is magic, and old computer boards and PLCs are ancient artifacts that cannot be reproduced.
