The Good Dinosaur was way worse in that aspect. So much people even forget that was a thing.
Good Dinosaur is slightly better, in that the main character actually has an arc and goes from being a fat pud to a somewhat functional fatass. Remy is a total cunt the entire movie, even invents a ghostly mentor that is just himself. Zero character development.
