I enjoyed Undertale. A lot of it suffered from a lack of planning it got preachy, but it's a relief to know that there are still people who like video games that are willing to make them.

Gameplay is mind numbingly easy with only 1 fight in the entire game that can be considered slightly challenging due probably to how the endings work.

Pretty meh story, it establishes these characters are like your great friends but you pretty much only interact for 10 minuets each, humor is really subjective I think it's fine but I know some people who can't stomach it.

2/3 final bosses are literally impossible to lose, one you can stand still and let check point carry you till right at the end of the fight where you only need to slightly move, sort of ruins the climax when you can't lose, sort of like Bayonetta which dying is just a small tap on the wrist and a full heal for dying.

Not really content heavy for the price it's £6.99 but only lasts like 2 hours if you're doing the ending with the most effort needed to unlock, you can watch porn for free and get 3 hours mileage nightly out of it, you'd probably get more mileage by buying the sound track but steam is fucking jewish and you can't just buy the sound track you need to buy the game first making the value worse.

It's a simple little RPG with some interesting mechanics, some charming art, an ignorable story, and decent music. If it was more expensive it wouldn't really be worth it, but at sub-$10, it's not really bad for the price given that it's a few hours long.

The worst for me was that it's a "story-heavy" game that just feeds you the entire story at the beginning and ending of the game. Other than meeting new characters, you don't actually learn any of the main story between first getting to Snowdin and finally reaching the core.
I enjoyed the game, I really did, but goddamn was that story bullshit, especially the edgelord Asrael thing at the end, where he's a character they literally mentioned for the first time before the neutral route final boss, and suddenly he's the big bad.

Going out of the way to give Frisk no gender would have been fine, until Toriel at the end of the True Pacifist route calls you "they", (like "Frisk can do what they want"). That's fucking bizarre. Nobody uses "they" as a genderless singular pronoun for somebody they know personally.

The music was really rather good, though, and the use of leitmotiv was very well done.
