I used to take handhelds to my night shift job, game for about 6 hours of an 8 hour shift listening to talk am radio at the same time go home and play console games at home for another 6-10 with more on the weekend. Did that for a long time and never regretted it, rather live a 1000 adventurous digital lives than a typical and boring one life. I ran out games that were decent and took longer than 8 hours to beat. Good news is that I forgot most of the games I played twenty years ago so I am replaying all my favorites and I got no regrets there either.

Lots of people with physical disabilities or mental illnesses really need to play more games and have fun, I introduced a lot of games to my old clients and they liked them and it helped them learn in some cases. They can make a tough life less tough.
