I view Keynes as one of the most influential economists of our time. The economics which we practice today are heavily influenced by his works, and if one is to bring down your opponent, it is very important to not only have a viable system you want to put in place, but to also have a way to destroy the current system, which entail having the knowledge to do so.

It's four books that detail the revolution of the southern states from the very beginning. The characters are well developed and the plot is solid. I put all 4 on the general thread in /pdfs/

"Simulacra and Simulation" by Jean Baudrillard is an amazing read. Not *necessarily* political (however it discusses politics a great deal). It's a pretty intense read but disambiguates a lot of weird social phenomena and leftist doublethink in a cool way. It's a general critique on society and gives insights into why the things that are happening are happening.

Extreme Money presents a litany of failures of modern economics, finance and government regulation based on them.

The Road to Ruin explains the basics of complexity theory and behavioral economics, it tears apart prevailing economic models based on normal distribution.

The trouble with most economics is that it's derived from assumptions and inductive reasoning. Empirical research damns it all. As a wee grade schooler I was reading things FAR beyond my supposed level, entire Ringworld series and shit. However, the book that got me on that vocabulary engorging spree I never finished. I remember as a wee little lad reading a very odd tale with very odd imagery.
The stories has a few parallel tales. Computers advance to the point of taking over societal function, humanity gets together for once and produces a shield against the sun as it gets too hot, humanity dies out but the computers start seeding the stars with uploaded human minds and self improving AIs. Cut to several thousand years later, the super AI are beginning to question why the Earth AI abruptly stopped reporting on the hoofed animals that began to inhabit the plains. A near Earth AI sends a shard of itself and a man in an android to investigate, some wonderful imagery of a newly fleshed person trying to play a physical guitar for the first time in millennia.
The shard and man arrive, hook up with the Earth AI. The shard is busy with MASSIVE amounts of data, and so sends manbot on a date with the Earthbot's emissary, popping through simulations of Earth under various conditions or historical reenactments.
Turns out the Earth AI had to shut up because the humans it de-extincted had escaped and killed the hoofed beasties. A side story of a captain and his ship had been the living humans approaching a new continent, forbidden to them by their 'god' back at the temple.

Thats as far as I got, and it's bugged me ever since.

I'd say "Might Makes Right" by Ragnar Redbeard is essential reading. It doesn't matter whether you agree with it or not, because in the end the winner is always who can force their ideology upon others, not whose ideology is philosophically superior.

Assimil is pretty highly sought after as a program; a lot of people learning languages use it. I don't know much about that comment though; I'm sure it's useful in its own right, but you may also want to see if you can find a more modern version as well.

It's about the history of artificial intelligence as a concept and as an applied characteristic of computing. It will give you a big leg up on your peers in being able to foresee where sentient (or "apparently sentient") computers are gonna go in the decades to come. It will be of particular interest to TayAI lovers.

I've recently been reading Donovan's work and I agree that it's a shame that the "he's a homo so dismiss everything he says" meme is so prevalent. And I think the real strength of his writings is that not everyone will agree with what he has to say but then you have to explain why you disagree with him and those discussions are very meaningful. Like right now I'm sharing the way of men with my dad and brother and discussing what and why they disagree with parts of it.

I used that method on Aristotle's Metaphysics (which was my introduction to philosophy), and Irving's Hitler's War which made me depressed as hell. Evola too.

I was very disappointed to find out that many Holla Forumsacks don't read at all. Part of the reason I suppose is the lack of means, since if you can't access the book you need tablet/kindle. Reading .pdfs is tiring way of doing it.

Not even just the sticky notes bit, but having physical copies to line your shelves and prompt redpilling conversations with your former pleb friends is an excellent strategy.

I don't know about most people, but when I'm pressed for time I tend to read by the chapter rather any set number of pages. Or in less structured books, until an idea has been explored.

If it gets folks reading, I don't care how it's done. But there is something profoundly satisfying about having your collection there on display, all of your notes right there wedged between their pages.

if it's a novel you should about 2 chapter a day, if it's a series book you should a chapter a day. I usually continue to next chapter because it feels the same as reading halfway of a chapter when the settings and characters are changed. most books change scenes twice or triple for each chapter
