How do we make the left cool again? There this very romanticized view of revolutionaries of the past. How do we get it back?

We embrace the lumpen and force liberal romanticization of tramps, vagabonds, and hoboes into revolutionary cultural capital. All of these "On the Road" reading libtards are primed to think there is something so mystically admirable about the life of the vagabond. And so we radicalize vagabonds (the job's already half-done lads) and assemble them into a revolutionary biker gang outfitted with AKs and off-road motorcycles, running a network of paypal hacking, moonshining, and pot growing to fund their actions. We exploit the abject lack of existential opportunities that are worth a damn to most young people, and turn these pepe-posting sadfags into well-armed bikers. It's cool, it's fun, it's immediately fulfilling, and it's somewhat tactical (no, it isn't ideal, but at this point, a biker gang and no revolutionary army is better than neither).

Motorcycles are perfect, particularly when they are on-road and off-road capable. They can duck into the woods, ride in the desert, escape crime scenes with immense speed, they are seldom pulled over by police, and they require little gas. Most importantly, they are COOL. Cooler than PSL pamphlets or irrelevant union drives. Networks of untraceable train-hopping revolutionaries are COOL (and historically have served us well in the IWW).

I am doing this. I have lived on the road for five years. Everyone I meet thinks it is cool. It is just a matter of using this format in a way that is tactical, and not letting purity cloud our vision.

Oust the manginas and idpol-loving faggots that inhabit the left. Bring class hatred back.

...

Pump up the theory and revive the tradition of radical intellectuals. Zizek is a good start, but he's getting on in years and isn't a clean public face.

Wait until the right is in power again and it will do itself. Unfortunately it will go away after the left is in power again.

start working co-ops, community/mutual banks and invest in automation technology, and outcompete the capitalistic enterprises

enjoy nothing happening then

How is that going to make the Left cool again?
Are you just memeing?

for eastern europe and asia use nostalgia and aesthetic

for the us use patriotism

for canada use nationalism (yeah i know)

for western europe state that equality and stability should be the number one concern

for south and central america i don't know (sorry hispanics)

Not at the cost of forgetting what the real problem is, no.
If possible, yes.
Capitalism isn't built on idpol. It's the other way around, retard.

Someone needs to rob some banks, take some drugs, kill some cops, and get away with it.
Nobody, and I mean nobody, thinks nationalism is cool, fuck off , what we need is to appeal to fun and rebelliousness. Pasty book nerds aren't cool, Han Solo is cool.

this

Somebody, and I mean somebody, sounds like a retard, fuck off , I can make a run on sentence too.
clearly this isn't working

Propaganda and memes

Oh yeah, B████, zizek, rojava, those guys sure are fun.

I feel so isolated even among the far left that I fantasize about becoming some form of thought leader, even if just so there has to be smone, anyone out there speaking out the prophecies to an uncaring public. Also, so I can hopefully find people I can connect with.

Gee I wonder who is behind this post

Why are they so good?

...

I honestly think we need to have a mutualist movement first. Communism/socialism are dirty words but nobody even knows what the fuck mutualism is to object to it in the first place.

ideology vs reality

The best way is to retake the place as the opposition the first instance people will move towards when they are feed up with the current conditions. Today this place is taken up by jihadists and conservatives, as the leftist groupings have become to intertwined with the centrist institutions. Thus while is partly correct in that we need better spokespersons for our cause, I think the main problem is the very basic mentality that almost all leftists are stuck with "well, let's support the lesser evil".

If we want to be a serious alternative, we need to reject the very frame of modern politics. In America, "Neither Trump not Hillary" is a good start, in Europe: leftists parties and movements need to follow suit and reject co-operation with organisations that demand them to fall in line with liberalism.

That said, an even greater problem is of course the fact that we today have no serious plan what-so-ever. We're left in the complete desert of the 21st century, where the old ideas of Party Form revolution or Social-democratic reform just doesn't apply any more.

When your pudgy ass can tell me how your 3D printer in your mom's basement will ever be able to compete with multinationals who base their entire industry on sweatshops in South Asia, then I'll take you even a slightest bit serious.

The first and foremost thing would be to get rid of all SJWism and idpol that plagues the "mainstream" left. Unfortunately, I believe we have reached a point where it is impossible to get rid of these cancer and clean the left's image. So basically the left will never be cool again in the eyes of the common people and we are fighting for a lost cause.
Deal with it.

That's because revolutionaries were real and were indeed romantic. There was some undeniable appeal to Che's military adventures, Trotsky leading uprisings, going to jail and coming back in time to drink coffee in Vienna, on Stalin's underground activity and agitation, the Lincoln Brigade and all that.

But there's nothing cool or appealing about grad students, rebelious teenagers and people like us. And this isn't to say that we should mimic early revolutionaries, only that society has somewhat moved on from that stage where politics were adventurous.

in the US at least we need to dissociate from tankies. embrace freedom and founding fathers sort of rhetoric, try to get a presence in popular media, whether through flashy youtube channels or interviews on TV or anything along those lines really.

also dissociate from /uni/-age weirdos with colored hair, tbh. We don't need to be so.cially c.onservative but we at least need to look normal enough to be taken seriously.

I think, more important than making the left seem "cool", we need to make the left seem viable again. And for that I think we need to start making more leftist production. I'm not talking just production for sale to try to outcompete the capitalists. I mean we need to start retaking societal production.

The refugee crisis takes time to calm down. We literally have to sit down, wait and be cool about it.

we become idealist utopians

More media that encourages entryism. Stuff like Mr. Robot, for example.

You have to be careful with how you implement it though. Canadians are somewhat patriotic, and a large part of how we became so progressive was because of our patriotism from figures like Trudeau. That said, I don't think canucks are class-cucked that badly, so we might just hop on the socdem/demsoc train soon.
