As a result they did the only thing they knew how to do; attempt to clone those features and get those users back. Suddenly every forum was attempting to be a facebook clone or something that would trend on facebook. Content started to be written so that it would trend on the social networks to get those click backs. Everyone wanted a piece of that sweet google ad money.

It was during that time that I noticed a shift in the way the users themselves were behaving on forums. These cliques of highly annoying users would come out of nowhere. All of them had something about them

That no one wanted around. Not because we cared who or what they were IRL but because it was annoying and no one wanted to rehash a flame war for the 100th time with a user that wasn't going to listen to reason anyway. Once you had one person like that at least 3 more would show up. Then more and more. Until eventually all the old people are gone or converted and they are the new normal.

I've seen this same thing. I remember when tranny porn used to be a thing that people trolled other people with using 'scroll' pictures, but now its supposedly some normal fetish that every other degenerate faggot has. If you go look at cuckchan Holla Forums you will see it is constantly flooded with tranny shit, cuck shit, incest shit, etc. There is no way this stuff is all organic. So this leads back to some interesting connections….

The CIA is atleast tangentially linked to both 4chan and Something Awful. The 4chan brony link is evident because of the sassy cat picture found in the Vault 7 leak.

The Something Awful link is a bit stranger and leads down an interesting path to GamerGate. The night of the Benghazi attack one of the men killed was Sean Smith, an avid Eve Online player who mentioned to his Eve friends that there was concern that something may happen.

Sean, an information officer aka CIA cover position, was part of the Goon Squad on Eve, which is linked to Something Awful. Something Awful also had ties to things like "Weird Twitter" which is a group of lefty comedians who post on Twitter. This Weird Twitter group some how got wrapped up into the GamerGate thing at some point. And we know GamerGate thing gets tied back to Diagra and then DARPA.

That says to me that Something Awful is either being subverted or is used as a meeting point for these groups.

SA has been a meeting place for a long time. I think they first caught interest of the higher ups in the deep state for the "All your base" meme. Something that developed in the SA forums but eventually leaked outside of it and was passed around every where. It was the first case of shitposting having an impact among the normalfags. It was also the first big example on the web of culture leaking out of one forum/digital community into real life. There had been bad chain letters and such before but this was different.

We were already aware of shills in those days on sites like slashdot but no one knew how deep the rabbit hole would eventually go. By the year 2000 there was great interest by everyone to control the flow of information on the web and figure out how to make money off of it. Ads started to become targeted advertisements, search engines started mining their user's data and selling it, everyone was trying to be the most popular social site (yahool, AOL, various large forums). It would make sense that CIA/FBI/NSA agents would be joining and attempting to control the flow of information within these communities. They have probably been attempting to meme Government created OC for almost 20 years now.

Given the current environment I'd say we're all pretty well fucked. With over 50% of all internet traffic going to the major sites (google/facebook/twitter/youtube) they've pretty much already won. You'd have to get rid of those places and go back to the way things were before to have any hope of running these people off of the web.
