I've put countless hours into God Hand, Gradius V, and Nocturne on emulator with little to no problem. Still try out MGS3, though, it might be fine and I'm just an idiot. Note that MGS3 uses the analogue face buttons, so if you don't have a PS2 or 3 controller you won't be able to use that

8.1 is just as good bad as any other post-xp windows. Even the start menu is bearable, I never use it anyways

A Nosferatu run is quite hilarious in some parts of the game, like Trip saying that you've got some great body mods, but it still doesn't compare to a Malk playthrough.

You can finish each mission in TPP in a half hour or less. There's 50 missions, and like 10 of them are just increases in difficulty of other missions. So that gives you about 25 hours of actual story. The rest of it is stamp collecting.

Gameplay is fast and difficult; sound design, physics and shooting are great; there's a skill floor tall enough to be noticeable; but in the end the game is just a single gauntlet. Overall, if you're looking for something different from your typical FPS I think you should give it a shot.

I have the original dualshock (with an adapter), which is perfect for everything but the analog PS2 buttons. A PS2 controller is my next potential purchase, though I really haven't had that much of a problem with not having it.
