Understanding Die Linke for muricafags

I was listening to Richard Wolff earlier today and he mentioned the german Die Linke party and how it was third most voted for in a recent election or something. He said that one of the core tenants of the party is Anti-capitalist. Is there any germany comrades that can shed so light on it for me?

Anyone?

sure
he's an idiot
Die Linke is yet another socdem party with an ultra right wing pro zionist pro interventionist war line that is also in favor of unconditional coalition for government with the SPD (and "green party")

it takes a special kind of retard to consider Die Linke "anti capitalist"
they have already demonstrated to be willingly antisocial on federal government level

but then again, you anarkiddy fullfaggots actually think SYRIZA was a good idea and that anyone not falling for them was sectarian
just go kill yourself, fucking all of you

to think that the same people also talk shit about venezuela
you motherfucking idiots
i'd behead you with a fucking shovel if i had the chance

What the fuck is your or yalls problem I was just looking for so info on it

DKP tier

genius

Die Linke is cancer.
Die Grünen are cancer.

Parties like the AfD are the best thing to go for at the moment.

They're right wing, yes, but you will never have any sort of revolution without them.
In fact, even they might be too limp wristed to really clean house.

Communism is suffering from Lügenpresse, too, and the Greens/Lefts are no-ones allies.

They are fashists with a leftist paintjob.

They all say this but it is ultimately all the same old fooled into supporting stupid watered down and impotent socdem and divisive idpol mixed with disgusting criminal zionism.

The existence of Die LINKE (written in caps even though it isn't an abbreviation) is directly related to the electoral system. If the system didn't have a minimum threshold below which you don't get any seats, it would be several parties.

Their membership has just about any position on any topic. They do have several far-left currents, Kommunistische Plattform and many very tiny groups (like the Trots around Lucy Redler), they also have a bunch of neoliberal cunts (who call themselves more often socialist than anybody else in the party does).

Thanks for the less cancerous and more informative info yall

Die Partei are clearly the best choice, mong.

...

SocDem level of Anti-Capitalist (as was said here). S█████ would fit in.

Douse yourself with gasoline and light a match, please.

I think the German left's support for Zionism is similar to the US left's support for reactionary horseshit like postcolonialism and third worldism. They're both due to moralistic guilt over slavery/the holocaust.

There is an article about that on bunkermag, I recommend reading it.

...

First you gottta realise that tDie Linke is pretty much two parties i one
In he east they are quite big and the follow up to SED, ruling party of East Germany, but have 99% distanced themsself from it, they are very soc dem over there.
In the West Die Linke is smaller and more radical left and made up of different subgroups. many ex SPD (main soc dem party) members ex greens who didn't like the even more than before centrist policies of their parties.
Before they were known as 'Die Linke' they were the 'Party of Democratic Socialism' and became 'Die Linke (The Left) when they fused with 'Voting Alternative for Social Justice' (not a tumblrina feminist safespace but mostly soc dem splitoffs)

They areat ~10% support nationally and that is not really bound to increase ina significant way ever.
The only way they will ever be part of a governing coalition ona country wide level is as junior partners in a soc-dem-greens-left coalition (RRG), wich is in the current political state the only ever possibly 'left of center' majority imaginable.

The Party is curently stuck ina hole as all their charismatic figures have stepped down and there is no one to fill the void (>tfw no Gysi bf).

Imo for anyone still voting in german elections they are the only thing worth voing if you want your votes to be represented in any form.
I also think they play an importnat role in showing hat there are people out there fighting for them on the left, even if you can obviously say most of them don't go far enough.
They do have a communist wing though

pretty much no one in the german left supports Zionism

there is the small movement inside antifa mainly calling themself Antigermans who say anti-semitism is the purest form of racism and needs to be fought before anything and therefor cheer any dead muslim because he could have hated jews

Was bin ich da lesend?
The German 1970s "left-wing" terrorists would bomb synagogues and hijack planes releasing everyone but the Jews. In the 1980s you'd have demonstrations against American presence on West German soil. It isn't too much of a secret anti-americanism and anti-zionism became a rallying cry for nationalists and antisemites, because you were not allowed to Heil or to sport a swastika any longer.
Today the German left is not obsessed with, primarily, the evisceration of the Jews and of their statehood exactly because their previous track record made them look like the thinly veiled stormfags they actually were. So instead they will criticize the government for sending their ambassadors to Saudi Arabia while they are having their bout of beheadings or for refusing to acknowledge foreign groups as terrorists which have, say, "kill the jews" in Arabic printed over their official flag. It is the only way the left can win back the trust of educated Germans it has gambled away previously by drawing on reactionary sentiments.

I know some people in die linke but I very much doubt they would be glad to come over to pol on the chonz. So if you're REALLY interested, SAY SO, pose your question and I'll deliver you the answers. The recent elections were done in Berlin where die Linke and die Grünen are particularly strong because:
1. high unemployment
2. West Berlin became a gathering place for West German dissidents since moving there relieved you from military service.
3. It has a plenty of people who used to be the academic and political elite of the GDR and were reduced to a lumpenproletarian existence.

this

Pretty much this. However
Eeh, I'll give you that he is probably the most charismatic well-known German politician, but he is too much of a "realist" for me. There was some stuff on Wikileaks about conversations between Gysi and some American diplomat, where Gysi was like
Which is pretty much against the party line.

That's A.W. rank of bullshitting

Yeah Gysi is a Zionist shill. He's useful for the party because he draws sympathies even from the conservatives and can give good speeches, but he's just a mild SocDem.

You forgot to mention that Berlin is an IdPol ridden hellhole with drug addicts. Literally gibsmedat tier.

In general, Die Linke is a anti-sectarian party with lots of subgroups, however, liberal Reformers like Ramelow and SJW cunts like Kipping are pure cancer. Sahra Wagenknecht is wife material, but she seems to be pretty isolated within the party leadership.
