It's sad, they can make publish some interesting games, but they never use anything in them to their full potential, or they feel dumbed down. Especially with Fallout 3 and 4 looking like generic shooters instead of RPGs, or shit like Skyrim's "See that mountain? You can climb it" even though it's impossible to climb up slopes most of the time.

Looking at Prey 2's demos, it doesn't seem like it would be that hard to screw up, right? Unless it was all scripted, I doubt it even ran on 360 since it looked better than anything on the system.

I wonder why Bethesda is happy for their games to just be "okay". Because that's how I felt with some of the games they published, okay, had some fun points, let down by stupid shit like crafting systems, "stealth" elements, and annoying DLC practices.

Prey was a fun game, the portal shit before portals were cool, and one of the best intros in gaming ever. Shame it ended on cliffhanger and the weapons felt horrible, like soft guns.

Because they get mountains of money now already from the mainstream and normalfags, why try to innovate or actually work hard when you can publish half-assed work and cruise along?

It was. With the old dev, I think it was Human Head Studios, calling Beth out for their bullshit for trying to take them over by holding back milestones.
Apperently the game was also almost complete, but becaause the dev didn't bow down to get raped analy by beth, they canceld it in the end.

What? Prey was good. The only obvious flaws i can think of is that visually impressive, but clunky doom engine and stupid 'you can't die' mechanic. Also some of the vehicle sections dragged on for too long imo.

It wasn't spectacular, like I said the guns felt so weak it was disgusting, thr fight against your girlfriend I almost died from laughing since it was supposed to be emotional and difficult but just PEW PEW PEW all around jesus christ… The spirit mode was fun for a short bit but overcame its welcome, the idea itself was done beautifully, it touched some horrifying places in my mind which I believe lot have shared of an invasion and harvest if it would take place, it was gruesome, bare and gorey.

it is real, i got to play a similar build for about 5 minutes. was fun but animations would fuck up sometimes when doing parcour/interacting with stuff. was still pretty fun with the little bit i played, though nothing amazing.
