There were game's with the same exact format since before SH, so I doubt it.
SH just did it so beautifully with the soothing music and the relaxing sound effects for the buttons.

What would count as the menu screen for Katamari Damacy? Just the start screen or would it also include the 3 planets since they have menu options and level selection.

I really like the story. I also like the speed at which the game plays. I know it's casual as hell but I think they nailed the feel of striking and disappearing. Also the drop in deniable ops are fun.
Plus the early stuff they showed of the game looked like ass. Panther Sam is cooler than Bum AssCreed Sam.
