arma 2 with the altis life mod (there's an altis mod for arma 3 as well, with a more active community), and yeah it's extremely fun I highly recommend it.

it really depends on what type of player you are
I've only played around 80 hours and have had so many moments where I wish I was recording, but that's mostly altis life (dayz is a slower paced game overall, but that's mostly for "emulating" the survival in a harsh wasteland).

There's plenty of browser plugins/add-ons for making webm's if you're looking for a retard-tier converter. Problem is, you can't compress it if it comes out over 8mb. If there's an easy, dummy-friendly way to compress webm's, I'd like to know too.

Yes, that's exactly what I was looking for. There was a post a while back detailing how to save videos and convert them and youtbe-dl was it. Thanks a lot, I tried and failed using youtube-dl because I can't into linux commands, but I'll figure it out. Thanks a lot.

Basic commands are;
-f [option] = format (mp4,webm,flv,etc..)
-x = Extract audio
–audio-format [option] = used in conjunction with -x to specify format (otherwise it's downloaded in m4a)

If you just enter youtube-dl [link], it will automatically download the video in mp4

youtube-dl doesn't seem to work anymore with videos that have copyrighted music in them, probably done on purpose by google.

These also a way to paste links in terminals, depends on which one your using.

Also, you can use ffmpeg to convert audio, video and pictures.

I know basic terminal stuff, but what's got me stumped is installing FFMPEG, I'm using Mint which is based off Ubuntu, but I don't know how the fuck to install it. With FFMPEG is there another plugin I need to convert .webm or .mp4 to any audio format?
