I suggest taking fish out pills daily along with multivitamins. Human society has historically collected around rivers and oceans, and we're built to need the omega acids found in fish. Most people don't get enough in their diets and fish oil can help to fill that gap.

My suggestion is to train martial arts, not the traditional kind, the practical ones. Boxing, Wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Kickboxing (Dutch, Thai), etc. MMA gyms can be good for this. Your fitness level will reach new heights. Yes it's hard, but that will strengthen you in all aspects, mind, body, heart.

It will make you strong. Focus 100% on training. Spar whenever you get the chance. Once you got the basics down, you can start strength training to supplement your workouts.

Concentration is a skill. It's something you have to practice. I'll admit it's something even I'm not that great at. I like to go between homework and shitposting instead of just getting it all done at once. I'm actually doing well academically though, so you're going to have to change your habits until you get the results you want. For starters you should have a defined space where you get shit done that ISN'T where you normally relax, shitpost, whatever. This helps concentration immensely. As far as music goes, you should go without it if you're working on something that takes intense thought. I prefer music for tasks that are tedious yet something I'm used to. Classical and baroque are good. Avoid anything with vocals.

Yeah man. After years of degeneracy I'm finally getting myself together. I quit drugs and alcohol and got a job doing data entry. Pays better than other jobs and I have $5,000 in the bank. I could put a down payment on a mobile home then sell later but I read the resale value isn't that great.

I recommend not getting too involved in the sparring aspect of kick-boxing and the like. You need an intact mind for the battles and work to come.

That said, fighting and competition is very healthy, so why not try something like Longsword HEMA? As an added bonus it relates directly to your european roots.

Form a group of white guys from class to study with. Seriously, this is how I made it through hrad school. It puts some responsibility on your shoulders to contribute for the good of your new pals while providing a crutch when there's a topic that just doesn't click. Make sure you meet up somewhere that isn't your fuck around area.
Also, this worked for me, think of your future children. What do you want for them? What steps are you taking right now towards that goal? Your life doesn't belong solely to you as a man. That's how I can deal with wageslaving. It's the step my wife and I need to take right now so that we can afford land and give our kids the best life possible.

I'm implying that anyone who engages in heavy sparring on a regular basis will over time impair their faculties. You simply cannot avoid getting hit in the head. Using headgear helps, obviously, and kick-boxing isn't as bad as straight up boxing, but I would recommend other martial arts for long term health.

You need to figure out what you want. It sounds like the thing you want most is recreation time, and you're categorizing your studies as an obstruction to that. Like the other user said, think of your future children. The best thing you can do, health-wise, career-wise, morally, is to become the best version of yourself as possible. The thing you want is GAINS. You want knowledge gains, strength gains. Recreation is your reward for working hard. Never get distracted by thoughts like
There is nothing anybody truly wants, nor is there any identity you truly are. These things are a product of your focus. If you think about video games all the time, you will want to play them. Developing your concentration will give you more power over your focus, and thus your direction in life.

I'm personally a boxer, but anything works – muay thai, judo, or even (((krav maga))). The idea is to improve health and get rid of anger all at the same time. Some say intense lifting works for that, too, but that never did it for me. I've got some mood issues, but boy does it melt away when I duck, weave, and then land a hook straight into a nigger's ear… and it's legal and in good fun. All smiles as we leave the ring. Just don't get cocky in whatever or you'll have your shit pushed in.

Find guides online for your chosen style; there are so many out there online all for free. Memorize the pre and post-workout stretches and do them every single time. Find a gym that specializes in your fighting sport, or at the very least hunt down someone who did it for a while. You'll want someone who knows their shit to give a few notes on your performance. Mix this in with "regular" workouts; lift all the time and focus on strengthening the limbs. Invest in some decent training gear.

Simply cutting food entirely is fucking idiotic and will probably cause you to binge eat if you're not extremely strong willed. Try to get vitamins from whole foods like dark leafy greens, fruits, nuts, meats, or a reputable greens powder. Multivitamins are a good starting point but really shouldn't be your main source of micronutrients. Probiotics and fiber (prebiotics) are very important as well, the gut micro biome is a tremendous component of your immune system, digestive system, and it even affects your mental health. Theoretically you shouldn't need to supplement probiotics once they've formed a culture, but most people kill theirs off with shit food.

I would say that understanding the means and methods of Bushcraft are self-improving by their very nature. You learn new skills, gain an appreciation and respect for nature and become stronger with every Survivalist sojourn you go on. After all, the concept of Conservationalism and woodsmanship was one of the core tenets of National Socialism. The idea that the preservation celebration, and *preservation* of Nature was of utmost importance to a Nation was unheard of until the Nazis came along. So I would say that being able to survive innawoods is an incredibly useful skill. Especially when SHTF, as it likely will within our lifetimes.

Anyone here have some career advice?

I'm in my early 30s right now and I don't know what to do. I dropped out of university years ago and I've been working shitty sales jobs etc. ever since. I'm pretty intelligent but also very lazy (beta dad never instilled any discipline I guess, but I don't want make excuses). Anyway, I don't want to go back to uni and my CV looks so shitty that I will never get any decent job. I was thinking about learning a trade but companies usually only hire fresh high school graduates for that and the pay in the first years is like 600€ per month or something (I would still do it, if I managed to get in though). I'm really stuck. I guess that's always been my biggest problem in life, that I just cannot decide a goal to aim for, so I'm forever directionless. Any ideas?

Forget multivitamins, the vast majority of them are trash, giving you way too much of some shit and not nearly enough of other shit. You should only be taking them if you're eating an absolute shit diet.

Otherwise, eat healthy, lots of vegetables and some meat. Use a diet tracker like myfitnesspal to identify any nutritional gaps in your diet and supplement those or change your diet appropriately.

Perhaps Holla Forums could help me with a psychology thing I've been wondering about. Over the past year, I've been working on improving my appearance (getting in better shape, dressing better, ect.) One of the things I've done is grown a beard (not a goony, patchy hipster beard, a full, proper one.) because I thought it would make me look more masculine. And it has gotten me attention from women. The problem is, the women who are into it all seem to be way younger than me, as in, high school age. (I'm 21.)

I've had a widows peak since I was an infant, but only recently its started thinning at the end of it. So Holla Forums I finally can afford to have a gym membership and starting this week to get fit and get muscles too like Bane. On to another matter I've been really thinking hard of what I wanna do for a career and need some advice for any STEM fags or Bio fags. I've been interested with biology ever since I was a kid and lately after having reexamined data on biological differences of races I'm now feeling I want to take the plunge. The only problem is it worth going through (((academia))) to get a doctorate/ degree in a bio subject or is it just for the best to go for a trade. I'm at a crossroads where I can pick a trade, get a job quickly after done with trade school, and possibly finding a qtie aswell. Or go into (((uni))) more and infiltrate the community to spread our ideas there. I can already see the writing on the wall how we're winning and society is going through a cultural revolution because of our memes so I thought maybe lead the charge for our ideas to go mainstream. The fact is I don't know what's the better option between picking a career that makes a lot of money or doing a career that makes you happy. I'm content with finding hobbies to make up for the fact of having a boring job isnt much a problem to me but the thought of doing something I love despite kikes destroying such beautiful things makes me so angry I want to tear up and restore the order and help Make Science Great Again. If you are super interested you can sit in on lectures for free and get all the bio education minus the degree at the end. Take something with a higher chance of paying the bills when you get out. Tech is one of the few that isn't completely fucked these days, but any engineer can become Holla Forums these days it seems. Do something that will pay the bills, the worry about doing something you like.

I can actually give you advice. A fellow biofag, it warms my heart to see other people taking an interest in it.

My advice is this. Don't do it. If you want it badly enough that my advice doesn't matter, then be prepared to commit yourself fully. An undergrad degree in almost any bio field is literally worthless. A masters might get you a job as a sales rep if you're lucky and make the right social connections. A PhD is almost the entry level at this point, and even then you're looking at one or two post-docs. If you don't live in the US or possibly the UK (or switzerland) be prepared to move to another country at some point.

I just left academia, walked away. My life is essentially in ruins because I decided to pursue my love of biology and science. I realized that by the time I actually started my career, I'd be too old to realistically have kids, too too broke to ever retire and too burned out from the hectic work schedule of grad school to really enjoy my life. People often have dreams of becoming a famous scientific researcher. In reality being a researcher has become more like being a cog in a giant bureaucratic research machine.

If you love it, and you are going to do it, go all the way. Admit to yourself that you will sacrifice everything and go through with it to the finish. If you're not willing to sacrifice your hopes for a family, wealth, a social life and even some of your sanity then don't bother. If you want to become a great scientist then it can be the only thing on your mind.

I'm getting out. I'm destitute and burned out at this point but I still have a chance to pick up another career and hopefully live a decent life. It's your decision, but realize what it is you're getting into.

To add to my other post. If I were to go back in time and do it again, and I were to go to University again, I would study something different but maybe still related to biology.

Some engineering can be bio-related (don't go into bio-engineering though, its too specific). Chemistry is extremely bio-related and frankly chemists do most of the heavy lifting in biology anyways. Chemistry isn't as interesting when you begin studying it but it becomes more interesting as you go. It's more difficult than bio but you at least learn some more employable 'skills'. The fundamental problem with biology/biochemistry/neuro, etc. is you learn tons of concepts and theories but don't actually learn 'how' to do much of anything very useful. I can run PCRs and westerns and perform animal surgery and I can use extremely specific and outrageously complicated expensive equipment, but there isn't really any broad application to this.

I would say learn a trade, get a good financial foundation. If you decide you're bored later you can give uni a shot. Heck, MIT has free courses in any field you could imagine. If you want to do it out of interest, take some MIT online courses. You'll learn all the same academic study skills if you stick with it.

I finished my STEM PhD a few years ago, and was then unable to find funding for a postdoc, or a job in the industry relevant to my dissertation.

I try to keep up with literature in the field, but I've given up hope of doing original research or publishing again. I'm wondering what to do with my life now.
