The reality is that there is very little way of knowing right now who will win the Dem nomination in 2020. We can predict with reasonable success who will run, but it's important to keep in mind that the party is in a state of complete existential crisis right now. There are bare minimum 3 major factions (doesn't even include numerous smaller factions), all of which have fundamentally different plans for going forward:

1. The Old Guard: these are the Clintonites, Tom Perez, etc., lifelong politicians and experts who believe (not 100% falsely) that they know more than everyone else about how politics works and how to run a campaign. Their plan is to cast Trump as extreme and try to rope in moderates (see Democratic "response" last night) to win in 2020. Other factions see them as outdated dinosaurs who need to admit they blew it and step down.

2. Neolibs/Bernie bros: mostly young white folks who are fed up with the old guard. Their plan is to abandon all old politicians, Democrat or Republican, and push what they see as the "revolutionary" agenda of European-style democratic socialism and identity politics. Other factions see them as naive ideas guys who have no idea how to genuinely get anything done.

3. Black Lives Matter. At this point these guys are 90% of the way to being straight up Nation of Islam-tier. Currently working in a sort of alliance with Berniefags, goal is ultimately black nationalism. Most factions play lip service to them either out of white guilt (Berniefags) or to keep their useful idiot pets in check (Old Guard).

This is an ongoing power struggle, and whoever ends up on top will dictate the winner of the 2020 primaries. Currently the Old Guard is (somewhat remarkably) winning.

So get this: Oprah's book club, right? Well she just so happened to feature a sequel to one of my favorite books of all time: 'World Without End' by Ken Follett (sequel to 'Pillars of the Earth'.

Well, it just so happens that 'World Without End' is full of a LOT of rape scenes, bordering on pornographic in their detailed description. There is so much rape in this sequel, that you can find many amazon reviews complaining about it. I went on Oprah's book club website way back in the day, the one hosted on her website (no idea if it still exists or what the URL was), and there were women complaining about how Oprah was approving of/pushing books filled with extremely graphic rape scenes. Even some reviewers of the book on Amazon specifically mentioned that they were disappointed Oprah recommended the book to them due to the rape imagery.
