Hyrule Warriors Legends and gonna finish up Kingdom Hearts 3D pretty soon. Ansem's high-damage lasers seem to ignore Second Chance (or SC doesn't kick in because it's the one hit or something) so I need to grind my ass off until I can take him no sweat.

Space Dandy, fun show the whole way around but the abrupt and rushed ending was a bit of a downer. Series could theoretically go syndicated since each episode is self-contained (with brief jokes about dying in a previous episode or something similar) but it capped off at 24 episodes or so, short but sweet.

The "scary" factor is more about the polarization of the threat, or rather the lack thereof. in a game like RE4, the "threat" is very easy to kill, so you aren't scared of them (just kill on sight, problem solved). on the other hand, a game like Amnesia has a threat that is impossible to kill, which also means you aren't scared of them (just hide until it leaves, problem solved). Neither of the games listed are scary while playing, but have an atmosphere of "scary". So when you have a compromise between the two sides, the game actually becomes scary.

It also helps if the game itself is good. Only slight tweaks could be made to make RE4 or Amnesia effectively scary

I have a little rule of mine in From games, I always kill all enemies in an area before ignoring them for the rest of the run. I just do it for no reason, just so I can tell myself I killed them all, I own their asses and then I just ignore them for the rest of the game.

Imagine an enemy that, when it sees you, it begins filling a bar that once full will remove 80%-90% of your entire hp and the only attack they have is a grab attack.

Now, there's no way to avoid the bar filling unless you're hiding behind a wall and even if you do and the bar is already filling it keeps going and if you don't have enough protection, saps your health again.

And then the grab attack. If you get grabbed and the bar is full, there goes the hp and the gobbles you up. But there is a way to avoid it. By shooting her when she goes for the grab during a less than 1 second frame. If you get it, you stun her and shove a hand through her guts and the bar that removes your hp is nullified with invincibility frames.

You fail and down goes your hp and she gobbles you up. And there's a bridge with 3 of these bitches.

Metal Gear Solid. I didn't play it growing up, and I have to say, it's a pretty terrible game when you don't have your nostalgia goggles on tight. The dialogue is especially horrible.
