The Nazi starting that thread about how intimate relationships are ruined by capitalism, while shitposting could've led to some interesting discussion so I decided to offer up my analysis and see if anyone has observed similar phenomenon of disagrees:
Women have adopted a materialistic attitude since capitalism has picked up speed. Sure, in feudal societies marriages were arranged, with the cost and benefit of the communion being calculated by each party weighing out both their families and their selves, potential economic future.
However in capitalism dating and marriages, seem to retain the economic foundation of the previous arranged marriages, while simultaneously emphasizing their newly conceived "social aspect".
For example, in popular culture a stereotype quite often used, is the concept of "the gold digger": a woman who only loves her parter for his financial competency. The "gold digger" is quite often portrayed in a pejorative light, not only in popular culture but by most dating guru's. Both are things people often look up to in hopes of finding a partner amidst their confused, and alienated state.
This is often juxtaposed with contradictory dating advice, most often for men: the importance of financial stability. Advice that also finds itself simultaneously being spewed out of the mouth of "relationship experts" and psychiatrist alike, and as a cliche of popular culture. How many of you have seen a movie where the protagonist, a rough looking unemployed simpleton, has his girlfriend dump him and the movie goes on at great expense to portray his journey as he reaches financial stability(the gold standard of success) to eventually win her back?
So here we have a clear dichotomy: the social and economic characteristic of intimate relationships are equally as important, but diametrically opposed.
A commodification of romance takes place, made clear by the endless cards and candies produced for valentines day. Or The laser sharp focus on celebrity romance, as if to say happy relationships can only be achieved once both parties have procured a substantial amount of wealth. And these are only two examples.
A shift takes place as the social aspects are malformed. Both parties start to look for peculiarities in their potential partners, like a certain brand of clothing, an expensive watch or purse. And this is often done before the initiator engages their potential mate.
Lower wages have also contributed to "hookup culture". This being the fact that more and more woman can't rely on the financial support of her partner, and instead have to look for work themselves. The evidence is mostly anecdotal, but it's not hard to find stories of men or women deciding not to pursue further relations due to both parties being financially unstable. Hookups are done out of lust yes, but it also allows for women to engage sexually with men they love for their "social" characteristics without having to worry about the financial prospects of their partner.
Likewise, marriages(and dating to an extent) retain their financial character, while the facade of a primary social aspect is offered up to be sold as a commodity.
And I'd like to clarify when I say "women", I don't mean exclusively women and I should've been more clear with my topic sentence. It should be "people have adopted a materialist attitude". But we still have gender roles, so I primarily was focusing on the cliche of the gold digger but then decided to delve into the "muh bootstraps" advice often given to men. Both are equally materialistic, but that's why I specified women in the beginning.
Henry Morgan
For this generation "financial stability" doesn't exist, as its been replaced by the gig economy.
What effect that will have, beyond the short term of people putting off family for longer and longer, I'm not sure yet.
Isaac Morris
Read Oscar Wilde's "The Soul of Man Under Socialism". It's very relevant to this topic.
Jeremiah Gomez
I also think it's interesting to examine marriage under the lens of capitalism.
My cousin just got married, and had a huge expensive event. However the whole thing seemed completely divorced from its cultural roots. Stuff happened, people guzzled champagne. I don't know what all this is for.
Ian Cruz
That wasn't really the point. It was that dating and marriages have a primarily economic base, while the potential social aspect of free communion are turned into a commodity.
The lack of financial stability is what's contributing to the rise of "hookup culture", as our aryan friend put it.
Yeah that's another example. The wedding, where it's somehow obligatory to spend lots of money on commodities and failing to do so is "unromantic". I mean a celebration is normal, but as you put it the current ritual seems completely divorced from what it's supposed to commemorate.
It's Richard Wolff and this lady talking about how capitalism has changed the nature of families, dating, and sex. Starts halfway through
Ethan Torres
Another thing I want to add, as finacialization takes over the economy, credit score becomes a real thing. There are even (expensive prime time) adverts for improve your score.
Pick your partner based on their credit score?
Jeremiah Howard
Well I think that falls under the umbrella of "financial stability". The standard of financial stability that most people will accept is all relative to how bad the economy is doing, so credit will just become a new medium by which potential mates judge each other.

Not weird at all, actually. I wouldn't expect anything else. The "other" is always the first to blame.
I think we are guilty of perpetuating this sometimes too when we make fun of the nazis coming on here periodically for being fat virgin losers. Not that I'm trying to be a liberal "they're just hoomin too" but that those retarded orc vs. Humans tier beliefs they hold are a direct result of them being fat virgin losers. The first and the natural reaction is always to see some invading force as that which destroyed our perfect society (niggers, Jews, liberalism, technology, chads).
The next step is to realize that this very is a result of the system itself, and not that which invades it. That's what we should somehow facilitate in the frequent Holla Forums posters in addition to pointing out the flaws in thier reasoning

As soon as human beings divorce, even the most kind-hearted, friendly and educated ones, a cloud of dust enshrouds and daubs everything it touches. It is as if the sphere of intimacy, the inattentive trust of the common life is transformed into a poisonous substance, once the relationships are broken, in which they rested. What is intimate between human beings is compassion, patience, refuge for personal characteristics. If it is distorted, then the moment of weakness therein hoves into view, and during divorces such a turn towards the outside is unavoidable. Things which were once signs of loving care, pictures of reconciliation, make themselves suddenly self-standing as values and show their evil, cold and pernicious side. After separations, professors break into the dwellings of their wives, in order to carry off objects from the desk, and well-appointed ladies denounce their men for tax-evasion. If marriage afforded one of the last possibilities of constructing humane cells in the inhuman generality, then the generality revenges itself in its disassembly, by taking control of that which was apparently an exception, the alienated social orders of justice and property which underlies it and which pours scorn on those who thought themselves secure from it. Precisely that which is safeguarded turns into the cruel requisite of being sacrificed. The more “generously” the lovebirds originally behaved with each other, the less they thought of ownership and obligation, the more horrid the humiliation. For it is even in the realm of the juridically undefined, in quarrel, defamation, in the endless conflict of interests flourishes. Everything shadowy, on whose ground the institution of marriage is raised, the barbaric access of the man to the property and labor of the woman, the not less barbaric sexual oppression, which tendentially compels the man to take lifelong responsibility for someone with whom he once took pleasure in sleeping with – this crawls out of the cellars and fundaments into the open, when the house is demolished. Those who once experienced the good generality in the restricted belonging to each other, are now compelled by the society to consider themselves scoundrels and to learn, that they are the same as the generality of unrestricted nastiness outside. The generality proves itself in divorce as the mark of shame of the particular, because the particular, marriage, is not capable of realizing the true generality in this society.
Right, Occam’s razor. The NSA already had records on millions of people even prior to the database era, which is an amazing feat. The CIA crazy experiments with LSD, the assassinations, the coups.

The household tyrant has his wife help him into his coat. She eagerly does the service of love and accompanies him with a glance, which says: what am I supposed to do, let him have his little joys, that’s the way he is, only a man. Patriarchal marriage revenges itself on the man through the indulgence, which the woman practices and which has turned into a formula in the ironic lament of male vulnerability and dependence. Inside of the lying ideology, which posits the man as superior, lies a secret, not less untrue one, which reduces him to something inferior, to the victim of manipulation, maneuvers, deception. The hen-pecked husband is the shadow of the one who must venture out into hostile life. Children size up adults with the same narrow-minded perspicacity as the wife vis-à-vis the husband. In the disproportion between his authoritarian claim and his helplessness, which necessarily comes to light in the private sphere, something ridiculous is concealed. Every married couple appearing together is comic, and this is what the patient understanding of the wife attempts to balance out. There is scarcely any long-married woman, who does not disavow their spouse by whispering about small weaknesses. False nearness stimulates malice, and in the realm of consumption, those who have their hands on things are stronger. Hegel’s dialectic of master and slave is as valid then as now in the archaic social order of the house and is strengthened, because the wife tenaciously holds fast to the anachronism. As suppressed matriarch she becomes the master there, where she must serve, and the patriarch need only appear as such, in order to become a caricature. Such a simultaneous dialectic of the epoch has presented itself to the individualistic gaze as the “battle of the sexes.” Both opponents are wrong. In the disenchantment of the man, whose power rests on the earning of money which pretends to be human rank, the woman expresses at the same time the untruth of the marriage, in which she seeks her entire truth. No emancipation without that of society.

I see your henpecked husbands and household tyants and raise you one Richard Kuklinski. Two, in fact.
What do these men have in common? They had double lives which they successfully held from their wives for over 20 years which puts to lie the idea of the reveangance of the patriarchal system on the man. The first was a contract killer who murdered over 250 people and was a consummate professional. The second was a double agent who provided NATO with documents detailing Soviet battle plans which would culminate in the sacrifice of the DDR and Poland to a nuclear holocaust while the Soviets would simply overrun Western Europe and Great Britain, considered politically expedient in order to take over practically the entire continent.
These men were hunted men, and they knew that they were hunted, one by the police, the other by the KGB. They had no illusions about their fates should they be caught and knew how to gaslight and keep their respective wives in line:

Women will naturally go to the man with the most resources and this is true beyond even human beings. The fix for this is to redistribute all resources until they all belong to me so I get all the chicks like Stalin did.
Luke Gray
Family and society didn't break down due to capitalism as has been proven in the past so Holla Forums is right about that. Stop embarrassing us and look what changed. It's unfortunate but no matter what happens these inequalities are innate. Even if you equalise wealth, the women will just go to the tallest dutchman. It is over and there is no solution anyone has on any side regarding women. Best to just give up this equation and focus on a post-scarcity and post-woman society like the Romans dreamed of.
The point I am making is that these men had no illusions that they were disposable, as per the above youtube link. They did everything in their limited power in order to survive against their odds, and put to lie their respective disposability, killer to his mob handlers, the officer to the soviets. The fact that they did, for as long as they had, is remarkable. These were psychological supermen.
The point is, we are reaching a breaking point where we will be needing men like this. Revolutionaries will have to become such Icemen (see what I did there?) in order to carry out the revolution, to do what is necessary in order to further it.
So I challenge you to create conditions in order for such men to emerge. Put aside Adorno and try to realize that a "man" like the henpecked husband in your post is not a revolutionary subject. For fuck's sake what was Fight Club about?
Also read the book in the first part. It will help cure you of the "last man" ideologies and learn how to assemble a commune. Then save and spread this rare Wojak. His feels are the eternal revolutionary struggle against the capitalistic smugness of Kek and Pepe

Not all the laws that govern wild animals necessarily transcend into our lives - women and men can have legitimate romantic connections, but capitalism usurps them from reaching their full potential.
My dad was pretty poor and ugly(tbh). My mom was from a family of petit-bourgeoise and was not poor by any means but she gravitated towards him. My families lack of income has exacerbated flaws already present within the relationship to the point where it's often hanging from a thread, sometimes not.
This is just anecdotal evidence, but I dissent to your point.
One would hardly call a revolutionary time healthy, and one can hardly call every man a potential revolutionary.

Other than the feelings described during a breakup after long held partnership and intimacy, I do wonder sometimes about people who describe marriage in this manner. I would have said it's primarily an American thing (with their lack of public welfare, support apparatus and 'take what you can'), but Adorno wasn't an American… were marriage courts similar in Germany and Switzerland, at the time?
With the legal framework of marriage, and a general lack of giving a shit by greater society towards everyone else in it materially, of course people will freak out more when what they thought was shared, is broken, and fight hard for every scrap (it's their life, their future, at stake). Outside of the material concerns, though, the actual emotions (when removed from their hyper state after being exaggerated by legalese), are solely about deeply shared intimacy being torn apart.
That's it. It has nothing to do with marriage.
Partnership bond doesn't necessarily equal marriage, in the emotional sense, and the issues that marriage ecompass are not unique to marriage. There seems to be some trend in many critiques of the legal institution of marriage, towards trying to tie all notions of intimacy in a monogamous relationship - to it, and thereby discrediting marriage as a legal institution solely in the most coldest of circumstancially aware societies (as in, "fuck you all, die in the street"), seek to - by way of strawman - discredit the very idea of love between two people, unique and yes, exclusive, which does not engage on polyamory.
But maybe I'm just a bit paranoid about that.
Nolan Jenkins
Basically after the kids started going to school and being busy with whatever she decided to get a job to fill her free time. And then she realized that she didn't need me anymore and that she could work and live with her and she didn't have to rely on someone who she didn't love anymore. And that was that.
She also hated how stingy I was with money and how I wouldn't let her buy frivolous shit. But my work never fully recovered. I remember vividly once I had gotten a huge bonus as a personal thank you and I immediately spent it on a bike I had been meaning to get (A bit reckless maybe). And when she saw the bike she went ballistics and demanded why I didn't buy her anything with all that money. I said "if you want nice things why don't YOU work for it you worthless bitch". And that was kind of the tipping point, lmao
maybe I'm being a bit biased, idk

The principle formulated in the book is sound. Donovan advocates the way of the gang as a way forward for men to organize. What is a gang but a revolutionary cell? Every commune is a gang of sorts that is bound together by creating a social framewor to fulfill material needs, engage in mutual aid and protection and the provide a springboard for the drive to power. It is an exercise in mutual self-rule and especially nowadays a means to prevent individuals from becoming mere atomized consumers and create the zones of opacity that the Invisible Committee says are necessary in order for the "ruled territory" (biopolitically that means us as individuals) to become the impenetrable to the Spectacle.
Moreover, inside every normie is a Young-Girl whose job is to enforce the will of the Spectacle upon the rest of us. Holla Forums's masterstroke in their recuperation of Pepe is something to be emulated for other memes. The point is to do the same for leftism, like brocialism.

No, I'm a different Christian Commie. I was posting here religiously during early-mid 2015 when I discovered Holla Forums after gamergate and wanted more than just lurking on libcom or revleft. It seemed to have much less shitposting cancer back then and actual theoretical discussions. I like to think that I was part of the force that helped Holla Forums define its stance against cheap identity politics and egalitarianism and return to a materialist analysis of financialization and seizure of the MoP. I think you are missing the point. Adorno wasn't concerned about any specific culture, but capitalism in general (and since it has been globalized his point remain even more reinforced).
I think you are missing his point about "generality"…
It has everything to do with marriage [in the context of capitalist relations].
Plz consult your reading comprehension doctor. He wasn't talking about affects (>muh emotions).
You should realize that he wasn't trying to "discredit" marriage as such, but think of marriage in its [current] social context.

I gave you two counterexamples to your ideas, coincidentally them having the same name. The point I made about Donovan here and my other post here displays the fact that men do have the capability to bond with other men to acquire power for themselves, to the point where even somewhat uneducated, violent assholes could exert considerable influence on the state.
The problem is now how to set up your own way to set up your own autonomous zone. Technology has advanced to the point that probably every last american manufacturer of communications equipment has backdoors installed for the government's express use. You need a certain amount of ability, patience and perseverance in order to amass this capacity and influence.
Fundamentally this returns back to a man's capacity for violence and how he can amplify it through his faculties, tools, whatever ha has at his disposal. This is what Matt Forney wrote back in 2012 about a situation he had with a gf

This is why I'm a MRA. 99% of socdems are limp-wristed cuckolds with no backbone. This is why I consider myself Alt-Left. Or Reactionary Left. Fuck Turd Positionism because white women are feminazi bitches. Non-white women treat us with more respect. Possibly because in their eyes white men have more status.
This is an ideology that I personally invented
Left-wing economics - Anti-capitalism - Reformist (reform capitalism to provide relief to the working-class until we can transition to socialism) - Government subsidies into VR waifu technology
right-wing social issues - Anti-feminism (divorce court reform, reforming laws regarding false rape accusations and cuckoldry. Women can get knocked up by Chad and foot you with the bill legally pretending it's your kid. This needs to stop). - Anti-hypergamy - Anti-Chad - Anti-smug normies who talk shit and think they are better than us autists - Autistic Nationalism (similar to #blacklivesmatter and the Black Power Movement)
Combination of left-wing economics/right-wing social issues - Anti-mass immigration (brings down wages due to job competition) - Anti-visa work programs (ditto)
Libertarian when it comes to other social issues - recreational drug use - prostitution, etc (subsidized prostitution for autists/incels until we have VR waifus).

Ideally I would like to form an Autistic Nation somewhere. With me as benevolent dictator. Like Tito Yugoslavia. Autistic women and normalfags will be allowed. But autistic women will be exiled if they miscegenate with normies (especially Chads). And normalfag women will be brought in as maids, nurses, hookers, 3D waifus (until they are replaced by VR 2D waifus). They are forbidden to have sex with normalfag men and especially Chads while they live here.

“It's a fact…that in societies like ours sex truly represents a second system of differentiation, completely independent of money; and as a system of differentiation it functions just as mercilessly. The effects of these two systems are, furthermore, strictly equivalent. Just like unrestrained economic liberalism, and for similar reasons, sexual liberalism produces phenomena of absolute pauperization . Some men make love every day; others five or six times in their life, or never. Some make love with dozens of women; others with none. It's what's known as 'the law of the market'…Economic liberalism is an extension of the domain of the struggle, its extension to all ages and all classes of society. Sexual liberalism is likewise an extension of the domain of the struggle, its extension to all ages and all classes of society.”
Charles Reyes
As soon as I read the first sentence, I realized it was Michel Houellebecq.
Michel Houellebecq is the only philosopher out there who makes the link between the economic market place and the sexual market place. I thought about writing a book about this subject. When I discovered Michel Houellebecq, it was like I finally discovered someone who spoke for us. Most MRAs are right-wing fiscally. Very few speak out simultaneously against the economic and sexual free market.
Jacob Fisher
The only prominent literary writer you mean. There are quite a few philosophers and sociologists who came to the same conclusion before him. Even way back in the 60s, when the sexual liberation was just starting, there were quite a few people saying it was no liberation at all.
Lucas Powell
Ahh yes, finally nice to meet a kindred spirit. I'm a healthy stage 4 terminal cancer patient btw.

He is in no way a MRA. He was a communist when young and nowadays is probably too nihilistic to have any strong political opinion.

For the past 2 1/2+ years I've started to see myself as both a corporate cuckold (cubicle rat being exploited by capitalism) and a sexual cuckold as a low-status male. So when I discovered Michel Houellebecq mid-2014, that was a big turning point for me. I became NEET less than a year after that.
"Cuck" was actually a very popular term in /r9k/ and Manosphere circles where it got adopted by Holla Forums in mid-2015.
I used the term "cuckservative" to refer to fiscal right-wingers before Holla Forums picked up on it. The irony is that Holla Forumsacks support a corporatist ideology (nazism) and call others cucks. When they are corporate cuckolds.
I'm about two things: Muh Money and Muh Dik. Hence why I coin my ideology Reactionary (sexual frustration + frustration towards immigrants taking our jobs) Left (working-class frustrations against capitalist exploitation).
Landon Parker
Yea I would say that Houellebecq is a nihilist, not a MRA or a neo-nazi (he has reactionary views towards Islam, blacks and immigration too). Houellebecq has already given up hope for France. If you see how he conducts himself in interviews, he is a miserable old man who looks like he is waiting for death. I feel the same way. I'm 31. When my dad passes away, I'm going to hope that cancer or diabetes claims me before my bank account goes dry. Maybe I'll blow all my money on hookers and drugs and then purposely overdose on Fetanyl. Leaving behind a suicide note and a NEET Manifesto.
Cameron Peterson
I was happier somewhat when I had a girlfriend. I was still NEET and miserable but less miserable because I was getting laid. But then she snooped my Holla Forums post history and found a post I made about how the hookers I had sex with before we met were hotter than my girlfriend. And she lost her shit. She was batshit crazy.
Women are blue-pilled as fuck. They can't take the red-pill. She hated the fact that I was with her because I couldn't do better (she was still pretty hot though fam. I don't know why she has to be so butthurt).
Women all want Chad. Chad has lots of options. Women want to feel like their boyfriend has the leverage to leave them at the drop of a hat.

I don't have a lot of relationship history so I wasn't very careful. I've only had two serious girlfriends (first one in my late 20s). And they were both mentally unstable and very jealous. The first one demanded that I unlock my phone and hand it over. And I complied. The second snooped my internet activity and she tried to snoop my phone but it was pass locked.
Both girls did not like me having attractive female friends. The last girl (the internet snooper) told me that I had to dox my female friend (so that she could harass her probably) and cut her out of my life to prove my loyalty to her. And she also wanted me to pay her $300 for sex to prove that I love her because she noticed that I paid $200 for hookers and she said that she deserves more money.
This is the problem with being an autistic NEET. The women I manage to attract in my life are psycho. Any woman who would be willing to date a loser usually has serious mental health problems. Mentally stable women look down on "losers".
Jonathan Turner
Sorry to hear that user.
I had a jealous girlfriend too, but as a tech girl she respected data completely. I didn't see her data, and she didn't see mine, even though the unlocked computers were sitting right there. Sort of like Chinese-walls.

I watched a documentary last night about two girls who were sexually assaulted by Chads (football players and good looking chill socially adjusted normalfag guys). Documentary is called Audrie & Daisy I believe. And Audrie & Daisy faced a lot of slut shaming abuse from their peers in high school. But throughout this whole documentary I couldn't get over the fact that the community was taking the side of the Chads over the girls. I take issue with not Audrie & Daisy being sluts. I take issue with them giving their affections to Chad. I want those Chads to burn in fucking hell for contributing to hypergamy in society. They were left off the hook.

I did value her. It's true that I thought the hookers I had sex with before I met her were hotter but I still loved her and thought she was hot. But she got extremely jealous. And hated my female friend and wanted me to cut ties with her. She was very controlling.

Borderline is an extreme female brain disorder. And autism is an extreme male brain disorder. I was a very romantic and affectionate boyfriend. But she's not a 10/10 and I don't have the sexual market value to attract a 10/10. That's just reality. That post was not for her eyes. This was a discussion among autists.
