Confusing Things in Vidya

So I'm playing Wind Waker HD after getting into Wii U piracy. Anyways..
When Tetra is revealed to be Zelda does she just put her hair down, remove magical suntan disguise & put on a dress or does she completely change into another person? How come the king is tan, but Zelda isn't?

ITT: Discuss anything in vidya that confused you. From plot holes to vague lore Explain or speculate.

Here's another.

In Dragon's Dogma how come the Brine are stronger than the Seneschal. Isn't the Seneschal a God?

I'm more confused about those quads

Nip princesses are pale. Thats probably all it is.

The king and tetra aren't direct relatives, he's a great great grandpa or some shit. Also she's *literally covered in shit, you just can't tell because of the artstyle**

fuck

You just wanted a shortstack thread user, if you cant be honest to us how can we help you out jerking off?

Image was just an attention-grabber.

That's a loli; not a shortstack.

If your thread cannot survive without porn in the OP then it isn't an interesting thread

BUT you did get quads so it is pretty interesting

Why are we living in 2016 and still not able to enjoy AAA porn games?

Holla Forums likes speculating. The thread is very general though. The scope is broad, probably not focused enough thus more prone to derail.
Just asking for anything confusing in any video game ever made is possibly asking too much.

It also risks the poster being called a retard for not understanding something that actually was explained, but they either missed the explanation or didn't get it.

...

Get a wife, in 10 or so years the upkeep cost should reach AAA rating.

I'm already married.

Because brown 3D lolis are disgusting and Nintendo knows that.

...

Actually quite accurate.

Quads checked.

I theorise it's the same transformy-magic business that lets Zelda become Sheik and vice versa.

It's the grave you chose, my friend.

In Bioshock Infinite, what was the point of drowning Booker? If there are infinite realities then there are infinite scenarios in which the drowning didn't happen. The notion that it would fix everything is fucking retarded.

In Fallout 3, why didn't the protagonist just send their Super Mutant companion into the dangerous radioactive area at the ending of the game thus avoiding death since Super Mutants are immune to radiation?

The answer to both of these is, of course, terrible writing. However, I wonder how the terrible writers rationalize their profound idiocy.

Holla Forums isn't one person, faggot

Man, I'm getting real sick of seeing this shit.

In Mario Kart 8, why did Nintendo remove the ability to pick up an item while dragging your current item behind you? Seriously, why the fuck would you remove that?

the entire middle act of final fantasy 7 makes no goddamn sense, beginning and end work pretty well but all of like disk 2 is just a bunch of nonsense, maybe even the first half of disk 3 with since I don't remember exactly where in the overall structure of the story it really falls apart since I haven't played it in probably 13 years.

I seemed to be the only asshole on the big ff webforums who thought 7 had garbage writing.

Is the game just 2deep4me?

Balance

Like when FromSoft disabled Poise, but kept it in the stats?

wasn't the idea that she was channeling the princess of old while down there, returning to Tetra when she left?
OoT princess was white as fuck, as are the rest of the zeldas

Why is she called Princess Zelda instead of Princess Tetra if Nintendo, in their fucked up official timeline, put the back story of AoL in a different timeline to Wind Waker

where's the porn

I barely remember Wind Waker but I thought that PirateLink/ToonLink and Tetra were reincarnations of Link and Zelda that gets activated when the triforce kicks in.

And each Zelda game is basically the gods picking targets to receive the triforce of courage/wisdom to become Link/Zelda

So basically, Tetra is the only Zelda to be a different type of reincarnation, a non-complete reincarnation where she's also a different person.

Link already looks & acts like past incarnations of Link whereas Tetra seems more like a different person than past incarnations of Zelda. She doesn't even act like Sheik.

Is Tetra's personality what Zelda would be like without the stoic, reserved, royal leader role being imposed upon her from birth?
Even if that's the case, she should still be interested in magic at least. That's a natural gift Zelda incarnations always had & is not necessarily related to upbringing.

It was the Lone Wanderer's destiny to do it despite nothing else in the game hinting at or suggesting that destiny/fate was a theme considered during the writing of the game's plot, user.

Just like it was Todd's destiny to tell lies. Don't blame Todd because it's preordained that he lie about Bethesda products. He can't fight against his fate.

That particular Zelda, yes. There's no Hyrule for her to be the princess of, so she went without activating the Zelda meme.

WW Link could've just been picrelated his entire life if there was no need to have courage and save the world.

Because pale is better than shit colored skin you mongrel.

It's a fictional shitskin so calm your tits. We all know they're disgusting in real life.

On second thought, Tetra's blonde. So she doesn't even qualify as a proper shitskin. She's just tanned. Blondes are usually more orangish in skin tone when tanned though & because her skin tone is more toward the red end of the brown spectrum she doesn't really look like a tanned real blonde but a shitskin bleached blonde.

You aren't a lot of it was just stupid shit made to sound 2deep4u so when anyone would question it people would just say, "you didn't get it!"

That shit made me mad, wouldn't it be far more effective to have every Elizabeth in every universe kill every Booker when he was a baby? But even if that were the case it wouldn't matter since there's infinite possibilities so at least one Elizabeth wouldn't do it and the plan wouldn't work anyway

Skullface wearing a Zorro mask in The Phantom Pain. It didn't make any sense and it was never explained.

OoT Link wasn't even the same age as past incarnations of Link. Also, blond hair

>typing spoiler tags manually

Here's a plot hole
Why is he so perfect

...

The king plays magic dress up to make Tetra look like Zelda and starts calling her that because he's an autist.

Tetra is the descendant of Zelda, not "Zelda" (the name) herself. "Princess Zelda" was a tradition in Hyrule as to name the princess after the original Zelda.

The Arisen and Seneschal are immune to the brine you just wash up back on shore.

It's easier to just think of Link/Zelda/Ganon as memes that the triforce gods make real every so often

you would be exactly right.

Literally who am I killing in Dark Souls and why?
Also why the fuck did that puppy try to kill me in the forest

gwyn and his followers set the undead (the descendant of the furtive pygmy) on a course to sacrifice himself to prolong their rule. They lie to you, telling you you're "chosen" so that you'll hurl yourself into the flame for them. Gwyn is the person at the first flame, he sacrificed his knights to prolong it, but eventually went hollow, obsessing over keeping it alive, (thus condemning the world to unending decay). In dark souls you are either attempting to relink the fire and prolong the age of gwyn's family, or destroy it's keeper and issue in the age of humanity.

the dog is guarding the grave of his master. You went there to rob the grave of a ring that would allow you to traverse the abyss.

Lorewise, why does every mob you've killed come back to life if you rest at a bonfire, and not the bosses?
What is happening when you rest and that bubble expands outwards? Are you shifting into parallel dimensions, or moving backwards in time to before you were ever there?

in timesplitters, why didnt they just go back in time to when the meteor containing the time crystals was going to hit earth and just blow it out of the sky, or go back to contain it after it lands?

What country was he from again, Holla Forums?

I think an NPC mentioned that timelines are all fucky and you could be the chosen one or you might not be. The other players are both previous and future aspirants

I don't think you're supposed to take much in that game seriously. It's just a fun romp done right.

Every time travel story falls apart at some point.

lmao i know

...

nah you're right, but it's part of what made the game great, all these ridiculous plotlines and loose ends that make the world feel really big and alive.

croatia

Nice get.

From what I understand her skin lightens because in Japan pale skin is considered attractive because pale means that you're not outside working in the fields all day which means you're an affluent noble.

Also I don't think her personality really changes, I think she's in shock at first but by the final battle she's back to her usual self.

underrated post tbh

Each Zelda turns out differently, Spirit Tracks and Minish Cap in particular are the most developed in that regard.

ghost Zelda is 2qt

...

Some people get darker when they get older.

They come back to life for the same reason you come back to life. You are undead along with everyone else and that means you never truly die. Also they went crazy from dying so much.

It's clearly superior all around the world.

All this is apparently happening because it's basically the end of the world, life is running out and as a result it's becoming difficult for a lot of people to actually die

The first victim of entropy is entropy itself apparently

Because they're undead like you. Though apparently not all of them are, like the giant rats and other non-humans, so I have no idea why they come back. Also, why you resting at a bonfire restores them was never something I was totally clear on.

They aren't necessarily all undead, but I'd assume guys like Orenstein and Smough are, in which case I have no idea why they don't come back. Also basically every human NPC in the game with a unique name is undead too, but they also never respawn, and I have no idea why that is either. And I doubt there's really any good in-story explanation.

The other thing that bugs me is like, the skeletons and ghosts and stuff. They are clearly not the same kind of undead players and random hollows are, player undead are killed by being stabbed or bleeding or poisoning or basically anything that could kill a regular living person. Well in that case, being a skeleton is much, MUCH more wounded than just a few sword slashes, and skeletons are fine, so what's their deal? Ghosts don't even have bodies at all and they're managing, so same question.

Just a cosmetic change. Tetra simply needed some time to soak in the knowledge about her heritage and was out of it for a bit. By the end of the game she's herself again (including looking like Tetra again) and in the sequel you see her acting like always.

Who are the Strangers from Mario Galaxy?
