This copy works. I've tried it myself.

Right now you need the license to use any DLC. Smash can be altered to include DLC, custom music, levels, etc. but it's a lot of extra steps obviously.

I use HaxServer and host it all myself, start kernel first then homebrew second. It's insanely simple because you don't need to know anything about networking to use it.

Get a wii (U ) lan adapter if you didn't own one already for splatoon. Unplug it from the console or modem every time you stop playing. Remove all wireless connection methods in the internet settings.

Also for 5.5.1 you don't need to self host for the trainer to work, just need to switch on pygecko on in Loadiine gx setting and get the WiiU's IP to throw into the trainer. You can find that with the developer tools in the internet browser, just take off the port.

I assume you're using a jap release & I never messed with any of those so perhaps they don't even have those folders & you have to rename them or do something else. I don't know what you need to do. What's in the AXJ5 folder?

What I would do is compare the contents of the directories to code/content/meta folders I already had for other games & rename them accordingly. If that didn't work I would look for a solution elsewhere.

Similarly, I had downloaded 3rd party save files for Shovel Knight, but the directories didn't look like the directories for other save files I already had so I renamed them based on their contents & they worked fine.

Use Fat32 with 64k sectors. Class 10 UHS-I/U3 = best speed & loading times.
Wii U is supposedly only SDHC compatible, but it reads SDXC anyway since they aren't that different.

I'm using a 256GB SDXC Class 10 UHS-I/U3, biggest & fastest thing I could get so I don't have to worry about space or loading times.
However, it is a little slower than a 32GB Samsung SDHC with the same speed rating probably just because of the higher capacity.

The Wii U attempts a system update check every time it's turned on. If you have tubehax DNS on then it fails the update check and then you'll get the "failed to update" error code in the download management screen which is what I assume you saw and immediately jumped up to make this post.

Trying to use "new-nusgrabber" to get game updates. In order to decrypt them to use with loadiine I need a wii u common key .bin file. No where on the internet does it seem to say how to make this file.

I make a .txt file, add the common key to it, save it as "ckey.bin" and nusgrabber doesn't like that. I don't know what I'm suppose to add. Everyone is terrified of this random assortment of numbers.

See, I got the starter pack and Goemon working just fine in Loadiine, but everything beyond that just seems to lock up every time I try to load it. I've tried removing the [VC SNES] and [VC N64] brackets at the beginning, and I've tried putting in the bootTVTex and iconTex files in, AND I've followed and suggestion of adding in a random [ABCD##] at the end. What the hell am I doing wrong, here?

I prefer it on the gamecube.
