Well I mean, using the term "singleplayer" is a stretch. Apparently you pretty much have to play with other people if you want a good rank on higher difficulties in the story missions. I think it's pretty safe to say that this is an online-only game.

This is fair, but at the same time, Evolve still died very quickly. With the pattern that Blizzard has shown over the last while I don't think Overwatch has a terribly long life either, yet for all three games the goal was to have a long term playerbase that grew overtime because "muh mlg shekels".

I've heard that the team behind BB plans to do weekly updates, which if they can keep that up and keep an open ear to the players for balancing that would be excellent, but it doesn't mean shit if the barrier for entry is fucking ridiculous and nobody is playing your game. I played during the open beta, and I had a pretty good time, but that experience definitely wasn't worth the full price of a new game.

There's pretty much no reason that games like this can't be free to play with microtransactions. Whether you like ASSFAGGOTS or not, you've got to admire how much money Riot makes off of LoL despite a fair number of players never dropping a single penny on the game.

If nothing else, Evolve had one thing going for it, and that was that it was still released early on in a new console's life span, so it had jack shit to compete against besides ports.

You can have as many controls on a PC as any console in the market. You can have more than one mouse and keyboard, you can connect a PC on any LED/LCD TV by just plugging a cable, but people still want to say PCs are for single player games only.

After you played fighters on PC, or emulators, you just don't want to go back to consoles. for that. Hell, even 4-player split screen games, like Blur or Sonic All Stars Transformed works perfectly! But there are always the retards.

I believe that if you want a cast of characters as big as they do, weekly balances are necessary, especially as the game grows and people work their way into a coherent metagame. I don't care if the design philosophy was centered around esports, but if they wanted it that way then they would have made the game more accessible rather than charging for a full game. You can do one or the other.

That's fair. And even so, asymmetric competitive multiplayer is something that you don't see done well very most of the time. Personally, I was pretty interested in Evolve when gameplay was being shown, the graphics looked pretty good, and it looked like it could have been kind of fun. Then as soon as they announced their pricing I lost all interest. Especially when whatever he was (some high ranking member on the team) came out and basically said "suck it, it's priced high because we make our pixels out of gold, pay us now". And then to think that they made a SECOND season pass after the fact shows that they learned absolutely nothing.

Overwatch is $40 for the base game on release, I think anything above and beyond that pricetag is just skins and shit. That already makes it more attractive than the $60 (or $80 for a fellow like me in Canada) that Battleborn is. But I still couldn't honestly see it lasting a full year. Let me start by saying that I bought the game and played it for 50 hours at the moment, it's not much but I got it last week because some friends were burnt of TF2 and other shooters. I don't blame them, shooters were dead lately and we had to try this 'abomination'.

However, even trying the game out while thinking it was an abomination we encountered a pleasant game with decent gameplay and decent characters. I'll try to tl;dr all the pros and cons:

I would understand the super saiyan thing if they gave that taunt to the voice actor of Vegeta, which is Rath in game. One chance and they fuck it up.

Those are, what I think at least, objective things about the game. If you think it's shit, well then it's shit for you, no problem with that I thought the same till I actually played it.
Overall the game is decent and fun, even better with friends. However the price is a big issue in my opinion.

Stardock's attempt at ASSFAGGOTS. Had at least one cool design in the form of the Rook, but the game was dead within a week due to a variety of reasons. The almost complete lack of singleplayer combined with the $50 buy-in played a huge part, though.

Simple minds like simple things.

The campaign is rather short. The game is not worht it if you ONLY want it for the coop.
If you want to buy it, buy it for the PvP even if you play it with friends which you can obviously, you can even make private lobbies to fight 1v1 or whatever the fuck you want with friends.

Take the campaign and its coop as a bonus, not as the game seller point.

The campaign has, currently, 7 missions. Each one of them are 30-50 minutes long, some of them have 3-5 boss fights, others have only one, others have a lot of Tower Defense with buildables. It is actually hard but easy to exploit the AI.
However, there are quite a lot of dialog that are random on the story, same as chests. You can play the same map over and over and it can be different in how the characters behave and how the chests are placed. What's more, depending on the characters you bring, other stuff can happen, it's short but it is quite solid.

I play campaign a lot alone or with some friends in Advanced Hardcore (max difficulty with only one life) because I like to grind for new items and legendaries (items are balanced in PvP mind you).

tl;dr: If you want it ONLY for the campaign, dont pay more than 10€. Full game should be 20€ in my opinion.

You said many things I wanted to know. The always online kind of killed it for me. The two map rotations seems like it came straight from Splatoon if I'm correct. In the end, I still find BB more honest and more consumer friendly than Overwatch, but, why, why always online?!?! Why the ASSFAGGOTS progression of always having to level up again? They could have used that Masteries system from LoL if they wanted this so badly. It works kind of like loadouts, but focused on passive abilities os special bonuses.

Well I dont personally mind always online but I put it on negative because I know that it is a big deal objectively.
I can see why its always online, you see, its their way to check the "money" and experience that you get in your account.
Since with money you can buy more bank space, more loadout space and RNG packs with items inside that can have legendaries, taunts, skins that are only available that way. They want you to grind it so the game lasts longer for completionists avoiding cheat engine and the likes.

However, the only check of online they do when you go singleplayer is when you log in with Steam and when you finish or fail the mission.

The level up for the account is for three things:
1º For matchmaking in PvP, they try to set you up with people of the same level, if they don't find anyone close, they try to get almost any player.
2º Every 5 levels you get a free package with a high chance of legendary, taunt and skin at the same time
3º You unlock characters by leveling if you dont want to do challenges, max level to unlock is 40 meanwhile the max level of an account is 100.

There is NOT map rotation. The map DOESNT rotate at all. When you get into a match, the 10 players can vote A map B map or "No preference". The problem here, is that all players will vote the same map making challenges of some characters really diffcult unless you ask kindly on chat this works, when I ask for a map due to a challenge they comply and vote for the map I need, community is nice, they just suck at the game

I prefer this system more than LoL, mind you. Loadouts are there for you to work them and put whatever the fuck you want in it, with whichever character. The level up perks having two options to chose from while leveling in the match is nice, and when you get to play a lot of the character you unlock extra perks options so instead of choosing from 2, you choose from 3.
This is why levels on the account is so important on matchmaking, because a higher level has more options to choose from. If the game starts dying matchmaking will be crap with tons of imbalance on player skill level and options.

It depends on which character you see, is attacking you, you are attacking to, you killed, if you're teleporting back etc.

When she's fighting, she's ok, she's just a maniac shouting magic and chaos. Tons of evil laughter and crap.
However, when Orendi teleports away to heal up, or dies her actual voice completily changes like one from an adult woman for no reason saying dumb shit or being back of an stupid chaotic girl shouting while reaching where the action is "Death and kisses" for example.

My main problem with Orendi voice is not only the "lol so randum" its just that its directly Tiny Tina with another skin, and you don't know how much I fucking hated Tiny Tina in Borderlands 2.

From what I can tell from my 40 hours of the game, the characters I find the most annyoing are:
Rath
Deande
Ghalt
Phoebe
Shayne
Galilea

And they all have stuns abilites.
Galilea is pretty easy to contain if you are mobile though.

Stuns are needed. Although Rath's stun is shitty I don't know whats your problem with him.

Galilea is the most OP character at the moment, is the one I was refereing to earlier.
She's literally broken, she got two nerfs already, three if you count the beta and yet, she's still OP. 8-11 seconds of silence, a pull, a stun of 2 seconds with ricochet that can stun you again by RNG, the only character that can attack while sprinting, a tank, as a shield to cover 180º damage, ranged attacks when she is pure melee, denies healing, has lifesteal and a lot of health regen, 2nd highest DPS in the entire game.
She's absurd, there is another nerf incoming but we are waiting for consoles to accept the god damn patch.

The dialog in this game is quite good, however, there are a few voice actors that are kinda hit and miss. Like Thorn, Boldur or Orendi. Vid related of some voice actors.

Good job, you called all the assasins that win in a 1v1 situation. Except for Ghalt and Galilea, they are not assasins, Ghalt is an initiator and Galilea is just broken.
Rath is a one trick pony, stun him, he can't do much.
Deande is really annoying, avoid being alone when the enemy team has a Deande, she'll win 1v1 always.
Ghalt, you just need to pay attention to his traps and where is he moving, he's rather slow.
Phoebe, the smallest CC can stop her although her DPS is insane to balance it out. She only has a silence, not any kind of hard CC, she's another one trick pony, easy to stop even 1v1 like Rath.
Shayne is no assasin, its an hybrid between tank and assasin, that is why she lacks damage. You won't kill her most problably, just harass her and send her home.
Galilea just ask the team for a 1vs4 if you want her dead, she'll survive 1vs3. She's that much of a joke.

It's because the season pass without PvE being behind a paywall will have 0 reasons to buy it.
So they're just doing this to excuse themselves and give a reason to buy the season pass to people.

They are greedy bastards, the singleplayer campaign is too short to be "finished" and the multiplayer is dying because of poor matchmaking and low content.

I am personally not going to put more money into the game that I already put into it.

And you are right in not doing so. I understand game development nowadays is really expensive. But, the only way to stop Season Passes to keep appearing at everything is to no buy. Hell, I do like the ideas in the game, but, always online single player, season passes, and the removal of features in the PC version destroyed any chances they had of seeing my money.
And some people said it's important to have always online SP because of the unlocks. But it's bullshit. You can have this stuff updated later when you try PvP. If you can have online PvP connected to the SP game without always online, like they do in Dark Souls and others, they could do it here too. Maybe you will need to look out for characters with weird stats, but that's probably not hard, and would make the game experience much more practical.
