Party you most sympathize with

Disregard it's size, relevance, IRL actions

What communist group from your country do you agree with most theory wise and why?

SEP
They are a ludicrous bunch of ultra-trots but I'm pretty convinced that they do want actual, real-deal socialism, and their analyses and articles aren't bad either (if you can tune out the constant refrains).

But then, I'm an American and our political landscape is as lush as a lunar field.

it's a good bet that the UK labour party could be radicalised. Comrade Corbyn has the leadership in the bag (because let's face it, Owen is a bit of a twat). And then all the red tories are up for the chop.

...

SKJ for the party

commie group from france though ?
all i found was bunkerfags and trotskyists, the communist party itself is plagued by "anti-racists" who are in just for the race but know n o t h i n g about class struggle, just fuck my shit up fam

SAlt, then Greens, then Dems in America.

Uleft pls go

Why them and not SAlt?

Socialist Alternative? The B████-bandwagoning pseudo-leftists? No thanks!

Probably because of stuff like this

why do rape laws piss off nerds so much

Why can't their just be a democratic state socialism party in the US, with a clear and coherent platform of transitioning the US to non-market production

Keep forgetting NY shitposting flag

When is old Bob going to finally release his ground-breaking New Synthesis?

SEP or Greens
Both are kind of awful, but they're the best we got right now.

...

Oh yeah uh that's great definitely stay over there with the SEP that sounds like a great idea

That's bad but it's not party-damning, they're our best bet. I think affirmative consent is based on sound ideas, I just dislike the absurd California laws about "if you're going down on her and want to do PIV you have to ask her again" like Jesus Christ just get the contract shit out while you're at it.

Chairman Bob's daring New Synthesis is already in full practice with the RCPUSA, hence the ongoing people's war against the Christian Fascists and capitalist roaders!

Pretty much this.

SEP - I find their leadership a bit dodgy and they come across as a little culty sometimes but their analysis is on point the majority of the time and the more I talk with their members, the more convinced I am that they are serious and not just LARPers. Helps that they mostly reject identity politics as a symptom of capitalism rather than any kind of solution to social problems.

CPA (Communist Party of Australia) - the current inheritors of the name anyway - I'm also finding are pretty tolerable. A little heavy on idpol from time to time, but not in the liberal sense. Mostly have the feel of an old style labour-focused socialist party. Met a couple of members briefly a while back and they seemed like good people.

Oh, that's part of it. We're talking about two different SEPs, Aussie and American. Allow me to make the conversation about myself.
The American SEP is a fucking joke. Their VP candidate isn't even eligible and the news site they run is horribly sectarian and impossibilist. They criticize any leftist group that isn't them and are big fans of No True Leftist. They're a disgrace.

Now then. America has a lot of socialist parties but most of them are local, do-nothing or culty (including the SEP on both counts). I'd say the five truly Not Socialist parties are the Greens, Socialist Alternative, CPUSA, SPUSA, and DSA, in rough order of relevance and activity (no PSL or PFP just yet because they haven't really established themselves yet and also I'm suspicious of the former stemming from a North Korea apologist organization and the latter being extremely feminist). SPUSA is just as shit as the SEP but in different ways, such as their presidential candidate (which I have no idea why they run because they'll never ever ever get 5% of the vote) saying that if he won he'd have to resign because apparently doing his job would be inherently violent and overblowing St. Bernard saying he'd repurpose the drone program instead of shutting it down (Barnes & Noble is a lot of things but he's no warmongerer- seriously getting up in arms over this remark is a red flag for me and tells me the group or person in question is Uleft, like Stein's idiot VP). People like to shit on the CPUSA because they encourage people to vote Democrat but that's actually not so bad on its own and might even be good in my book, it's certainly better than sectarianism. The real problem with them though is they are extremely ML antirevisionist types who use democratic centralism and don't actually DO much. DSA never talks about socialism or Marxism, they're basically socdems but worse than B████ because they're not even entryist. The Greens are deeply flawed but overall one of our best bets. Basically even if I greatly prefer SAlt to Greens, but both of them are cool with me and I'd probably be a member of both if I weren't heading off to Puerto Rico. Anyone else can fuck off (and are gradually doing so, seeing as they're all shrinking).

Also daily reminder the SEP(USA) got 18 votes in 2008 as a write-in candidate (no typo) and not even 2,000 in 2016 when they had ballot access in a couple states again

Also daily reminder they were founded by Gerry Healy

Hey, who are you and why should I care about your tripfagging?

He's some Mexican kid. And you shouldn't pay attention to him at all.

Wow, did a wild SEP bite you as a child?

I kid, I kid.

The Aussie branch is still ICFI but I took the OP to heart when it said

In theory I mostly agree with them, but trots generally seem to have this problem where they a solid line, but sperg out uncontrollably.

And I actually kinda like WoosWoos, especially when they look at domestic Aussie politics. But I have to put on my TrotFilter™ Glasses or go crazy from the sectarianism.

Probably the brazilian PDT. I'm much further to their Left, but most proper Left parties are embarrassing so whatever.

This, basically. You have to take what they say about other parties with a grain of salt sometimes, but they were right about

Syriza betraying the greeks and
Podemos betraying the spainiards and
Bernie betraying the Americans

CPC and CPC-ML are both pretty irrelevant but it's something

Why can't I post in this motherfucking thread.

Is part of my post causing a denial to post somehow?

The socialist presence and the very positive reception from long-time members and founders to that presence at the last national convention really convinced me there was great potential in the Greens.

US Greens.

Try as I might, I have been unable to find a party with communist or socialist in the name that isn't completely inundated with idpol or isn't a hilarious cult like RCP.

Okay who can explain why the following sentence fragment cannot be posted?

"communist" or |"socialist" in the

Remove the | and try to post it yourself. Is this getting caught in a word filter? Since when did anywhere on 8ch get a word filter that works like this in the first place?

This appears to be a site-wide filter. Some sort of anti-CP spam measure?

The Socialist Labor Party

I would be surprised if their "party" consists entirely of the guy that runs the website, though.

"Communist" or "socialist"

o I see, this won't post. I encountered a few weird things like this before. it must be part of some kind of CP filter that's really badly-made?
