Websites reporting Capcoms 'secret e3 announcement' for their 'hardcore audience targeting 2016 line up' is not in fact REmake 2 but Resident Evil 7 and they hired all the MGSV/P.T employees not working at Kojima Productions to make it
I dont want to get excited, because why would nice things ever happen right?
But this is going to be entertaining one way or the other.
Landon Campbell
...
Christopher Jackson
I really have no faith in anything Resident Evil.
Christian Clark
At this point you google it, because any OP even linking a site in Archive gets derailed by goons screaming that its the 'wrong kind of website'.
The story is literally the top of google for dozens of sites, this thread is just to discuss the inevitable future of RE once again falling flat on its face.
Ethan James
What do you expect to see in RE 7
Luis Walker
still gotta archive link. Point is to not give clicks. goons can fuck off
Logan Torres
Im sceptical, but if it is true, i am not getting my hopes up in the sligtest. Ive been burned too many times capcom.
Camden Gomez
I expect an extremely visually dark game with none of the b movie love letter stuff in the series early entries, possibly even supernatural.
It will be jump scare shit by anther dev that doesnt understand the point of horror games are not to scare but to "shake the players heart deeply"
Jeremiah Jones
Why? If it bothers youbthat much then look for a link that doesn't trigger yoir autism. Archive links kind of suck, the pictures are often broken and the layout is messed up. I agree if you wanna use them but forcing them is retarded.
Michael Johnson
welp, nothing to see here, people, move along.
Xavier Wright
The archive is a novel idea. Dont give clicks to anybody and put money in the journos pocket.
Trouble is goons and their current "call everything template and spam doubles till everyone gives up and leaves the thread" tactic is relying on EVERY site being archived being declared "shilling" which again leads to many Patrick Bateman images.
Henry Garcia
A 15 minute QTE fest in the start followed by punching rocks onto a giga trex head
Jace Fisher
So you fuck over your own thread by giving in to goons, nice one OP. A faggot as always
Adrian Richardson
Nice try there schlomo
Archive or bust is the key here, right after webm or bust
Leo Roberts
Is it wrong to say that Resi 6 was actually pretty good? I found it fun.
Ian Bennett
I didn't even bother playing through 6. It was such a chore. Shooting shit felt like ass because the weapons didn't have any weight to them. The controls were floaty as fuck, too. I liked Leon's first level, but that was pretty much it. Had they stuck to that instead of "WWIII but with zombies" it would have been somewhat entertaining.
At least in 5 you could go to war against niggers.
DEEP GAMEPLAY DIFFICULTY LEVELS THAT DON'T SIMPLY RAISE ATTACK AND HEALTH REPLAY VALUE EXTRA WEAPONS/NEW GAME+ CHALLENGING PUZZLES
GOD DAMN IT CAPCOM GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER
Dominic Harris
Yes. You're objectively wrong and a faggot.
Grayson Allen
Don't be, remember.
Isaiah Edwards
B movie plot with intentonally bad va.
Levi Walker
Wew ok then lad.
Caleb Brooks
Uh huh. Giving you goons, because lets face it you are pretty transparent, any website to use as an excuse "is key" got it.
God you really think you guys are master tacticians dont you.
Brandon Hernandez
...
Julian Flores
Re6 was never a back to roots.
Aiden Ward
If only REmake 2 would actually be worth it.
I doubt it, but I recently replayed 1-4 and REmake, and the thing that the first game especially has is building up bosses at least in Jill campaign.
Before you fight snek, you have to try and save people from snekbite, before fightan Plant you can try and weaken it, there's build up and suspense throughout the game. Even 2 lacks in that aspect, it shows too much while 3 is just a Nemesis game and 4 is a clusterfuck.
Liam Davis
Resi 6 has some of the best mechanics of any RE
yet somehow it remains the least fun. I don't quite know how thats possible
Logan Perez
They where spouting that lie since Re5
Brandon Smith
It's what's been done since Holla Forums immigration. Who gives a fuck about goons and just report them if needed. Cause it's a fucking obvious d/c tactic.
Joseph Stewart
You're fooling no one, Goidberg. You made a thread, it's here and people are discussing, now leave and lurk.
Noah Young
They said it would, but it didn't.
Exactly.
Josiah James
You are objectively wrong, like a biodrone suggesting dragon age 2 is good you must be blinded by brand loyalty or you have lowered your standards to normalfag levels.
This is in the first 4 minutes. SCARY RIGHT? ARENT YOU SCARED NOW??
Resident Evil 6 was a homonculus mongoloid creature made of 4 alpha builds of half made games frankensteined together.
If you genuinely think its good you need to reevaluate what your standards have become.
Lucas Lee
I've never played a Resident Evil game after RE 3, is it worth it?
Nathan James
Code Veronica is decent, RE4 is a very good game but not RE, more like a toned down DMC.
Kayden Davis
Basically during 4 they threw out the old RE formula for action shooters where you can take on an army of 'zombies' that also drop ammo.
4 was actually decent and had good atmosphere, but 5 was a HUGE step down from it. I never played 6.
Jaxon Green
I'd agree I'm one of the few fans who actually liked Outbreak. It was the multiplayer resident evil game I wanted. Too bad AI is shit and online is long gone.
Levi Adams
the first act of 4 is when its parasite controlled spanish hillbillys INNAWOODS, but it shits the bed after with set pieces like running from a giant robot midget statue down a one way path in a castle designed to be destroyed by said midget that apparently is designed to destroy the castle as you leave.
Its corny action movie dialogue and the regenerators are the only redeeming factors for the last 3 quarters which are honestly pretty shitty. But at the time they were a new and refreshing gameplay built around the shitty stuff.
If you are going in expecting the natural evolution of nemesis stick with Code Veronica or just go play silent hill 1-3 instead.
Wyatt Sanders
4 is a masterpiece. Code Veronica is great, after that is kind of meh.
Jose Powell
Thanks, I've watched a friend play a little of 4 quite a while ago and it seems it might be a little too action-y for me. I'm not really into third person shooters
David Lewis
This just reaks of resident evil.
Xavier Diaz
Best thing 4 had for me was the interactivity you don't often see with console games, such as shooting a fish and you got a fish, even if nowhere told you you can shoot and eat fish.
Blake Gonzalez
RE 4 is the only good RE game.
Joshua Martinez
I liked how the midgets right hand comes off though
Grayson Jenkins
...
Ryder Murphy
outside of one boss fight all the enemies move like snails, the rest of the action sequences are mashable QTEs.
then again, the castle does get to rambo levels of silly
Adrian Jenkins
Not really, it reeks of people not understanding what made the early games work and misinterpreting it instead.
The early games had a ridiculously obtuse undertone. Like the mayor and police chief taking bribes from umbrella to rebuild downtown raccoon with fucking puzzles and hidden keys all around town. That was silly, but functional in a movie kind of way.
In RE4 at some point the Los Illuminados had the idea that a guy LEAVING the castle needed a giant robot midget of salazar to chase them out at a speed that could not catch an unathletic teenage girl with a limp that brought down all the main support pillars in the process. They made that, set it up and years later as leons leaving they go 'now its time to shine!' and bring their own roof down on their heads as leon leaves unscathed and they blocked the only way after him.
Thats not silly or obtuse. Thats fucking clownshoes.
Asher Baker
Lmao look at this pleb, I bet you dont even put death rooms full of lava and fire in your castle
Ryder Young
No shit, sherlock. Glad you figured it out on your own.
Luke Cox
You forgot the giant castlevania clockwork wheels that move a little welcome mat platform across said indoor lava lakes.
And dragon parapets and towers hanging from chains leading to a giant treasure chest.
Xavier Martin
I was referring more to the puzzles than the story.
Gavin Rodriguez
If only they used Dino Crisis for that instead.
Angel Jackson
What might have been.
Juan King
Actual good porn of Jill Valentine
Luke Barnes
MEANWHILE DURING RESI 4'S DEVELOPMENT
Luke Moore
No such thing will ever exist because Jill a shit.
Brayden Green
I might trigger Holla Forums but i found the lack of sheva porn disturbing.
That booty was 10/10 too.
Lincoln Thompson
Yeah, that was horrible, Dino Crissi 2 proved it was better for an action oriented game but they as usual only cared about RE and maybe fighting games.
Logan Lopez
And then you have Parasite Eve…
Jace Cooper
...
Leo Mitchell
Dino Crisis 3
Charles Collins
imagine how much better humanity would be if this never existed
Christian Wright
So they hired all the stuff that Kojima discarded for being useless?. Lmao
Mason Harris
Pixie cut, short skirt tube top Jill again? Cause that's the jill that ever mattered.
Cameron Sullivan
Seeing as how its so different from the rest of the series I can see why some plebs fellow anons might think that.
Adrian Anderson
Parasite Eve 2 was OKish for what's worth, 3BD was Kingdom Hearts with Aya Brea.
Resident Evil with Dinosaurs in Space?
Brody Morgan
Palyed 1 recently. Will never get sarcastic and confident female lead again.
Lucas Sullivan
But its true, tank controls did not play well in RE 1. RE 4 did it perfectly.
Jonathan Cook
b-b-b-b-b-but user! that's just a man with boobs!!
Dylan Cooper
What are you talking about ? I just want a sequel to Dino Crisis 2.
Thomas Phillips
HOLY SHI- Welp.
Oliver Price
Maybe they didnt want to make movies?
/ara/ looking Jill best Jill. Those fucking funbags i swear.
I really really like PE2, but its still a clone of RE compared to the originals modern day vagrant story style.
Adrian Gray
I don't recall MGSV being a movie, it barely had any cutscenes.
Adrian Murphy
Just 800 credits sequences to sit through.
Christian Wilson
I know, it played well though and the plot wasn't raped by a Nomura fanboy and the lack of care for renewing the license.
Then maybe the ones fired were the staff that liked to make movies… or Hayter fans.
Gavin Green
Where's the source?
Jose Evans
So?. You could skip them.
Henry Russell
Hideo pls, stop trawling Holla Forums for Ludis reactions. And stop posting all those bbw threads you burger loving westaboo.
Aiden Taylor
what if.
wait
what if they they
what if they introduce
wait
what if its
what
if
three player co-op
Josiah Wilson
what if they had four player co-op, and you could fight specialized zombambos along the way, and the enemy spawns are randomized
Brody Butler
Amazing news OP!
Jack Jones
YOU ABSOLUTE MAD MAN.
Seriously though i expect single player supernatural universe reboot with the mercenaries as paid dlc multiplayer.
with map packs, obviously.
Jace Sanchez
The original game and the remake being great even now would have a word with your plebness.
Xavier Ortiz
Hes probably what would have been flagged as underage a few years ago.
People used to modern games put less thought into games design because games are all designed the same way. Super Bunnyhop has some video where he lists like a dozen third person shooters from the last 3 years that have identical controls and button layouts. People dont think about design because they dont have to.
Looking back anyone with a lifetime of vidya experience dating back to the 90's or earlier can look at Resident Evil and see the fixed cameras were a way to mask loading what at the time was extensive details -even if it was pre rendered visuals in most cases- and the tank controls ensured continued directional movement that would be uninterrupted by sudden, drastic camera angle changes.
Look at silent hill downcoming to see two games that try fixed cameras at points and switching between them has your character spin and often go back the way you came because they dont understand free movement and fixed camera shifts dont work together.
Jacob Smith
But he intended them to be episodic, right?
Michael Price
Why is it so hard for Capcom to make a new survival horror series with a different setting/new monsters? RE has been milked to death and zombies in general are cliche as fuck. At this point I'd even rather see a Dino Crisis sequel.
Ayden Martinez
Fun Fact: After REmake had a lukewarm reaction at launch they announced they were going to "take inspiration from Final Fantasy (which was still a top tier respected ip pre decade of lightning at the time) and each future RE game would be a different universe with some recurring elements and only the titular theme of horror in an urban enviroment would remain constant".
I imagined maybe one time you get serial killers like clock tower, another something supernatural like fatal frame and maybe something completely new taking the 'biohazard' idea in a more realistic approach.
But then they got the idea for RE4 after the positive reactions to RE3's action oriented shift and the rest is history.
Jason Lopez
so its going to be a bland open world with little to no content
Dylan Reed
Do you mean it will be a Third Person Action Adventure with Stealth Elements game?
Aiden Gutierrez
i think i want it.
Alexander Ward
...
Aaron Cooper
I guess the rational is they cant be worse than the RE6 team?
Brody Gomez
They could totally do that, and still call it Resident Evil. That's pretty much what they did for RE4.
Connor Morgan
P.T. Without Kojima and Del toro is completely pointless.
I guess at least they could bank on the technical prowess of the people that made the Fox Engine, but even then I doubt they'd make them do a whole new engine all over again.
It's cool, but meh.
Ian Rivera
I wanna someday see RE game where you play as random citizens (kinda like outbreak), but you have the whole raccoon city area & outskirts to explore and the game has heavy randomization of events, enemies and items.
Basically player versus monster where the game lasts for set amount of time, until the missile strike wipes everything out, and the players have to get out before that.
Ideally you want to play the match from the start, though you can also join in mid game too, but your chances of surviving are gimped because things get progressively worse in the city and most of the supplies might have been picked up already.
When the game starts, you are thrown into random location/situation as random character. Your primary goal is to just get out of the city, but some characters could have bonus objectives too. Depending on how well you do could change the ending scene and give you bonus points to spend on shit.
Nolan Bailey
I WANT IT TO BE TRUE BUT IT IS VERY UNLIKELY
Kayden Watson
...
Lincoln James
What's your point here user, they've been milking that game since release and trying to make every subsequent entry after it Resident Evil 4-2
Brandon Brown
Missread, thought you where talking about the original RE's.
Parker Kelly
Thread theme
Thomas Butler
...
Ryan Bailey
>there will be three lanes
Grayson Wood
The only way to save the RE franchise is to dump any and all attempts at storyline they had going on and ask the people that made The Evil Within to remake their game with RE characters
Jace Wilson
This is some fucking spooky ambient shit right here
Carson Rodriguez
But 4 completely dumped traditional zombies for new monsters, and they could do that again. Infact, I think Revelations did that, though I never played past the demo.
Parker Diaz
Revalatons was mostly deep sea shit.
Evan Morris
I don't see any problem with traditional zombies. REmake is amazing and I still play it every year.
Mason Scott
I found Revelations boring, even though it's what people wanted again, RE with spooky shit.
Hunter Nguyen
The dick wants what the dick wants
Robert Wilson
I remember when RE3 was coming out and a buddy of mine told me he finished the demo and it took place during the initial outbreak, so you'd run into a ton of normal people as the plague was just spreading. There was a Romero remake that involved a mall which covered the initial outbreak as well. Fear the Walking Dead did something similar, but it got focused on the camp really quickly. Last of Us prior to the time-skip did this very well. I never got to play RE Outbreak for the PS2, so I'm not sure what that covered.
I wish we could have a survival game that only covered the initial outbreak, so you'd run into a ton of people that were still alive. Fear and treachery would be the main themes as everyone tries to get out. It would take elements from the thing where you weren't sure who was infected, so a friendly could turn at the worst moment and murder your group if you weren't careful. Members of your group could get lost as well, so you'd have to juggle going back to save them and pressing forward, but that could cause the rest of the group to turn on you. It could star multiple people in different parts of life, so you'd be able to start the game as different characters. However, you would be stuck to the chosen character for the playthrough, but your actions could affect different playthroughs or they could just be entirely separate. It would take place over a day or a week and use night and day mechanics. The number of non-infected would plummet rapidly as time went by and the bigger your group, the harder it would be to keep them all alive. The larger groups would also be able to hold more ammo, medicine, food and water too.
That sounds fun,
Blake Myers
I'll criticise a lot of the last of us for being a dull repetitive walk and talk game, albiet with fantastic outdoor scenery. But i honestly think that opening is the best opening in a videogame in a long long time.
Trouble is being dont want a game in a chaotic beginning of things going to shit. They want the post apocalyptic scenario because of some low tier beta power jerk of fantasy where theres no rules "so i can get revenge on everyone" or some other low level pleb fantasy.
I'll always say dawn of the dead is better than day of the dead just for the first act where the news reporters are still arguing as shits going full LA riots and swat teams are dealing with them, but failing.
Joseph Richardson
Her sadpanda tag remains lacking however.
Aiden Ramirez
the two RE: Outbreak games are probably the best RE games before 4.
Isaiah Bell
Needs a dog and horse edit like this →
Matthew Foster
Honestly a PSN/XBL/PC HD rerelease of outbreak files 1 and 2 would probably be really popular.
I mean shit theres generations of people under like 25 that dont even know the ps2 HAD online games.
David Morris
user he asked what you expected not what was never ever going to happen.
Angel Thompson
As long as they don't add voice chat, it would ruin the game considering the feeling of isolation between the players is what made it so good.
