Strange thing is that OC in SRW only works best when they are paired with actual characters from other series but a purely OG game never works for me.

Like using Kyosuke and Excellen in SRW impact is awesome but in SRW OG its just meh.

Perhaps if this sells they're gonna start localizing also the crossover games.

A man can dream, all that licensing costs for all the series as well as their themes must be a nightmare.

Not at all. This is an English Asia release for the Philippines and whatnot. They don't give a shit.

Same genre different particulars such as:
Weapon types: some are equipment some are built into the mech and for the most part there isn't any kind of RPS type shit going on.
Rather than classes all mechs fall somewhere on the Super-Real Robot spectrum. Broadly speaking supers are slow, tough, hit hard and rely on energy to fuel their weapons. Reals are faster, dodgier and have limited ammunition.
Since most mechs are either unique or limited in number they all get used slightly differently and identical mechs with different pilots can end up fighting in radically different ways.
Pilots can be swapped around to other mechs, though some are restricted.
Pilots have spirit commands that buff them temporarily at the cost of non-regenerating spirit points.
And most importantly: The characters are actual characters. They might be one dimensional cutouts at times but they at leas they exist outside their recruitment chapter and support conversations.

The only thing I can think of that gets censored is probably Excellen, and her lewd outfit and remarks, then again its been a while since I played SRW impact so I don't know how true that is.

Considering how many games there are and how Z3 specifically deals with alternate universes it's safe to assume every series takes place in it's own universe, so nothing really gets "reset" if it never was part of the same universe

Z3 was synth and the animations were re-used from the first PS2 game (DX has the same melee animation from Z-Z3, no attempts at even hiding it with different flourish)

the difficulty was piss easy, It's why I prefer BX over the Z series past Z1

There's a difference between overdesigned and cluttered. Gundramon here has one theme, guns, and it sticks to it. It has LOTS of guns. It doesn't add any belts, or sharp edges where they don't belong, it uses every available surface to add more guns.

I think it's a very simple, elegant design.
