I hadn't had much time to actually get some of the other roles down, but weapons was a good way to ease myself in, less than an hour or so later, I killed a drone 18 km out. I may try and learn some of the other roles

I don't think it was, I was using the main cannon, but I could be wrong on the distance, it was a week or two ago and I could have swore the range was in double digits when I was firing

I've been to several planets with positve life reading now and they're always barren. There was one with one humanoid life form that appeared on the handheld scanner as an npc. I walked towards the gray dot until I was on top of it and there was no one there. Is this normal?
