The airing schedule. The fucking airing schedule is what's "killing" the show? Sorry user, you lost me there. This is a civil discussion, but I gotta be honest. Steven universe is both A: a zombie of a show that has been dead for some time, and B: absolutely awful. There's a fan base for it sure, every bad show has a fan base. But you should know by now Steven universe is a no-go zone on Holla Forums. Due to its radical feminism overtones and social justice hamfisting, it's no surprise me and most of Holla Forums hate it and would rather gouge our eyes out with mechanical pencils than watch someone point out all the reasons time scheduling is killing that abomination of a show.
Also "super high on the priority list" is really flowery language for "I may procrastinate on this for my Steven universe video instead". Just saying. Anyways off to bed. I'll check this thread if it's still up in the morning.

Yeah, that's it exactly, I may procrastinate more on the PPG vid in favor of the Steven vid but the reason for that is that two Steve episodes just came out that highlight the release schedule problem very well.
As for the show itself, it's not inherently SJW at all. SJWs just co-opted it like they do so many things. There's only one single patently SJW episode in the whole show. ("Alone Together.") It's got "lesbians," but they're a genderless race who reproductively can ONLY function as females. So it's ridiculous to assume that they shouldn't fall in love within their own race. Speaking of which, the show is subtly against race mixing! Steven himself is the result of a union that should not have occurred, and as a result of RACE MIXING, his mom is sealed inside of him, and his dad is fucked up! That said, though, Season 2 paled in comparison to Season 1, and there is a sort of subconscious feminism to the whole thing, but it's most assuredly not third wave feminism and quite possibly not even intentional. I'm told by Holla Forumsthat Rebecca Sugar has even said she is not a feminist.

Holla Forums is about comics, user. Do you really expect them to know anything about a tv show? I mean, I guess it's drawn in such a way that it might be considered a comic I guess, but they're entirely wrong anyways. Even if the show didn't start as a SJW propaganda machine for the youth, it's certainly become one over it's lifespan. The overtones are obvious from a distant standpoint, and even if rebecca sugar (i'm guessing she's the creator?) isn't a feminist, that doesn't mean they're the only writer on the show. There's probably a few more writers and animators who have more radical feelings, and as you well know, it only takes one bad apple to ruin a whole bunch.
I can only imagine there's some sort of value in steven universe, but not one I'm necessarily interested in. Like I said, all shows have some sort of fandom, but SU just isn't one I'm necessarily interested in joining in. The fandom for SU is pretty cancerous anyways, and wanting to associate with them is like walking out in public with a big "kick me" sign on your back. You can make all the arguments you want in favor of it, since that is your right, but I'll be passing in any case. The video I saw here just wasn't interesting enough to want to suffer through X months and a whole recommended bar full of social justice propaganda to get to one contrary opinion.

Holla Forums is comics AND cartoons. They talk about cartoons more than comics. And it won't be any months before the video drops. It won't even be a week.
