Well, let me ask for your opinion then. I agree the option for easy and hard should be available. Why exactly do you enjoy it being harder? If you have no reason, just say so and I'll head off.

I'll tell you why I like it being easy. I'm aware it's just a bunch of numbers and the higher number wins. I don't find battles engaging, I can only get into it when I think of it as raising virtual pets. Battling to make them grow and happy is why I bother and making it easy turns that frustration of grinding off just so my numbers are higher.

It still indicates a lack of technical competency on GF's part. The battles aren't super impressive visually, so it shouldn't be such a great task for them to get it to at least a stable 30fps.

Winning by the skin of your teeth can be fun. It gives a better sense of accomplishment. It gives you the impression that any wrong move you made could have resulted in defeat.

Having higher numbers doesn't necessarily mean you will win. It means you have the advantage. The same applies vice versa. With Pokemon, levels and stats will always have a maximum and minimum. Since the numbers will always consistently be in that range and a Pokemon will consistently have the same moves (barring event Pokemon) you can form strategies around battle. When asking for harder difficulty, it's not asking for opponents to have OP mons, it's asking for them to have a team that requires some sort of planning or thought to defeat.

Look ORAS you just spam one attack, it doesn't even matter about the type really as long as it hits because of how underleveled your opps are compared to you, while if its a bit tougher you have to toss up moves Especially when a Poke Center is further away, like it should and items or weather you switch or not but its never overcomplicated so you still get that comfiness but without it being a spammy drag

That's fine. It also helps I suck at pre-planning. My teams are usually just different types but I don't know shit like when to use haze or when to boost. I understand the idea a bit better. The PvP comment helped.
