As much as I'd love for the (relatively) new ownership to defy the odds and be better than its predecessor, thereby leading into a golden age of shitposting on 8ch, the chances are overwhelmingly against such a good outcome. I still have yet to see a single time when such a leadership swap has made things better, and I've seen this kind of thing far too many times to miss the good outcome if it were merely commonplace.
If I had a shekel for every time I've watched a community of any kind/focus degenerate into utter shit (if not die completely) in the wake of a leadership change, even if it's a change that appears positive and has initially-good effects like solving tech issues, I'd be able to purchase George Soros as my personal sex slave.
Yeah, I remember old reddit, as well as many other places before they were scrubbed clean regardless of whether the removal was CP-related/justified. Again, this shit keeps happening, there's always telltale signs, and it seems like no one ever sees it coming. It all moves in a clear, slow pattern, one that can be predicted very easily if you know what signs to look out for.
Also, on the general note of the in-thread CP debate, I couldn't care less about those anons and their interests, except for their passive purpose as meatshields against outside influence. Regardless of your opinion on the matter of their fetishistic tastes, it's abundantly clear that as long as their corner is left undisturbed our freedom and security from outside influences is intact, while their swift, silent removal is a dead canary-esque warning sign that the perimeter's been breaching by outsiders seeking to "clean things up", and we're next on the chopping block.
Of course, this could just be a coincidence and their removal has nothing to do with outside influences, instead just being either false-flag drama or a removal due to them overstepping long-standing boundaries, but I've seen far too many "coincidences" turn out to be anything but for such a thought to give me any comfort or closure.
As I said before, I'd love for this to all work out well and be just fine, allowing us all to stay here and be undisturbed/unfiltered, but every gut instinct I've got is flaring up in response to the signs laid before me, and I'm not liking what I see.
