Loadiine has DLC support, but only if you own the DLC. Shit is open source so someone might make an alternate version that allows DLC "backups"

You don't even need to format SD if its the right format. I use my 3DS CFW SD card and slapped the files on.

If you just stick to loadiine, you're fine. Nothing actually installs on to the system.

There was a homebrew program that let you fuck around with system updates. If you do something stupid with it, you'll brick your system. So don't mess with that. There isn't any reason to do so if the first place.

Unless they released 5.5.2 or 5.6 or whatever in the last few minutes, you are on the exact firmware you need for it. Have fun pirating the three games you don't own for Wii U! And play Wonderful 101 if you haven't.

I think hosting on an Android device is the best method possible since you don't need internet access at all, you don't even need a router. You just enable your phone as a hotspot & go to the URL given by the server app that host the files. A much more improved experience. They got rid of the sudden death quick time events that plagued the first game. The only quick time event in this game is mash Y to brutally kill angels (and demons?) The intro alone will sell you on the game.

I finally got my 256GB SD card the other day. I could only fit like 4-5 games on the 32GB if I wanted any of the larger games.

I was a little worried the Wii U wouldn't read this SDXC, but formatted to Fat32 with 64k sectors & it reads it just fine. It's a little slower than the 32GB SD card though.

Now I have 18 Wii U games on there & it only used around half the capacity so far. If I run out of space I can put a few things on the 32GB.

Get the six-digit ID for the game. From my understanding, the correct ID is actually only needed for grabbing the correct boxart in Loadline; you can put any six digits in the folder name and it won't affect your ability to run the game.

I think meta also contains the digital manual. You can grab the meta folder for a handful of games with JNUSTool, which I think is used to grab updates for games. Xenoblade X JP is one of the games listed.

Figured it out. My SD card wasn't fully inserted.

Means the WiiU/homebrew is having trouble reading the SD card. It can happen randomly, but if it's consistent, then you might have a problem. Might be worth reformatting the card, with something besides OS tools if you used that before. Something like SD card formatter.

If it just keeps happening no matter what you do, then your card and your WiiU just won't get along.

Since that game came out on literally everything that wasn't a nintendo device, I had to fuck around with these garbage emulators. used epsxe (multiple versions and plugins), wouldn't work no matter what I do. used some shit called yabuse, the emulator itself stopped working as soon as you open it (it was a common error with no solutions). used dosbox, which I had to get windows 3.1 for, and of course it didn't work for fuck all reasons. I had to BUY that shit through GoG, I had to GIVE UBISOFT MONEY because I couldn't figure this shit out.
Now I'm trying to mod sm4sh and the how to vids are saying I need a dump of the game. "it should be easy to find, just google it" they say (which is bullshit of course, every smash modder is afraid to link a dump). I decided to dump the game myself through DDDKernel, but I'm sure some of you know how shitty it is.

No. A lot of games have different sounds that comes thru the gamepad, and a select few have an option for sending all audio to it.

Just take the red/white from the composite and plug it into an amp and plug your headphones into it. It can't get any easier than that.

This shit won't let me save, an error pops up telling me to reset the WiiU. It seems like Loadiine is having trouble writing the save into the SD card but it's not locked or anything and i can modify the files on my PC just fine.

I've never used USB 3.0 to transfer files or use SD cards at all except in an old camera with a Class 4 card. This is really fast, it's like a new toy.

50mb/s write while transferring a game. I put the SD card in a USB 3.0 stick since my PC doesn't have an SD slot.
Card says it does 95mb/s read, but who knows yet.

I'm jealous, my pc is so ancient it takes hours for a 2-3gbs to transfer. Transfer speed is what i look forward to most when i can finally build my own rig.

I got the stable 0.2 and then overwrote it with the latest nightly, works fine.

You don't need saviine. You can do it with just the Wii U normal save backup, and people did it all the time to get decent rolls on their gear.
Splatoon -> Spend a bunch of snails on rolling -> Got bad rolls -> Quit game -> Copy old save on Wii U to overwrite current save on external drive.

Just remember: The Wii U puts new saves on external drives if one is plugged in. Check the date on the saves or you'll screw yourself.

I don't think so. I always did the entire thing.
Using an old save will roll back everything, naturally, including announcement popups and buying new clothes. Just remember that as well.

In the end saviine might be faster, but I haven't used it yet so I couldn't tell you.

Thanks again! i had to convert the wud to the loadiine format but data transfer worked fine, it even transfered the dlc quests from the 3ds version and now i can play with my brother via local wireless with the 3ds.

Tubehax DNS just blocks updates and youtube on your Wii U.
I also blocked the websites in my router, and then attempted an update with only my router blocking the sites and it wouldn't work. I was on 5.5.0 so I didn't care if it updated.

You can't use multiplayer with loadiine running, since the Wii U will think you're actually playing Mii Maker.

iirc, for 5.5.x it only works on the eshop/disc version of the game

here's your tard guide: go to browser and in the options select developer tools to get your Wii U's IP, enter that in the XCXGecko (not the :port though), disable the dev tools afterwords I guess. Then go to loadiine.ovh, select TCPGecko + Kernel, enter browser again when it kicks you out, then select your legit game.

I did run it with the dump argument. I ran it from a command prompt with it & I ran it with a shortcut with it. And even though it said it had got a connection from the Wii U the log files are blank. I don't really need it anymore anyways because I found some save files I wanted elsewhere, tested them & they all work.

The only thing left to put onto my SD card so my meager physical library is on it is Super Mario 3D World, but I hear it has bad loading times. Could be an old issue though.

How many digits are in the [gameid] ? Needs to be 6 digits or loadiine won't recognize it. Any 6 digits will do, just make sure it doesn't have any lap over with another game.
