Now I haven't been keeping up with the news so I'm not sure whats going on with this but the moment the FF7 Remake was confirmed I thought it was going to be a disaster as bad as FF 15. The episode thing confirmed it to me and watching "people" defend it made me check out of paying attention to it

Instead of fleshing out the minigames like the RTS which will just be you going down the mountain to fight the enemies yourself in the REAL TIME BATTLE SYSTEM that you will be using 10000 times from that moment on. Or they'll just cut it and you pick up phoenix from some random mountain. Hell, you'll be lucky if you get to go to the gold saucer in the game and even luckier if you get to date the characters you can get up to that point. (they'll cut Yuffie and Vincent out)

Character sidequests will be entirely DLC content. Why? If they can nickle and dime the gamers with "episodes" then they'll do it with "side episodes". Also most of the crude humor will be gone, Cloud being tossed around by bodybuilders like a rag? Too homophobic. Tifa's boobs? Sexual objectification. Cid beating that whore? Literally rape. Cloud's date with Barret? See Bodybuilders. I get the feeling the game will be entirely like some kind of patchwork quilt like if the designers just had a "major events" list read to them and they had fill in the blanks. This game will come out very differently then how it was on the PSX. The weird enemies like that house near the beginning of the game? All gone baby, those designs are too abstract for modern graphics. (not that the modelers even remember that particular enemy)

There were a lot of bad moments in FF7 I think that can be improved greatly esp. but that's not what this will be. This will be more similar to a reboot rather then a remake In that it will be a total disaster that not one person will like other then Gaming Journos (read:paid shills)

How time flies. I filled out my prediction card day 80 and it feels like yesterday.

Very little hope of anything resembling a good game. Going to need a whole lotta surprises to make it decent. The whole medium is pretty much dying though, only Witcher 3 really keeps me going as part of modern games and even that has suffered tremendously from downgrades (using a ReShade mod helps a little but going to need a whole lot more improvements to come out eventually, gameplay-economy-difficulty wise, as well.)…
