A big part of this is because a lot of these groups are simply controlled opposition whose leaders and (((backers))) use to water down the far right with more and more Cultural Marxism and degeneracy over time. Many members of these groups also seek to expand their membership and support base as much as possible, regardless of the quality of the new people being brought into the fold (these people typically buy into the idea that extreme groups will never, ever succeed).
Some fags like being in these groups because then they can be the "special Nazi fag" ("I'm not like the other girls!") and engage in their usual narcissistic attention-whoring.
