I think that's Yiddish Myths getting memed into/onto Jews. Probably more Eastern European in origin than Semitic.

Not very accurate, but accurate enough. There's a better one which pits three pokemon and doesn't outright eliminate any, but gives them a second chance. That's because RNG can be an asshole and eliminate ten second favorites while a shitty pokemon keeps going because it's pitted against shit like magikarp.
