They're okay, but as far as Japan is concerned, they're a business hotel chain; cheaper, but spartan. They're intended for sleeping and light work, not for staying indoors for extended periods of time. The rooms are cramped; your room will be predominantly bed. The majority of floors will have a view out onto a wall, perhaps the street if you're lucky. Request the top floors if you stay there as their buildings are decently tall and command nice views when they rise above the neighbors.
WiFi is fine and fast. Check-in times are mid afternoon and they won't budge on it. The people at the front desk will know a spattering of English, best you don't bother each other.
Disappointingly, they also sometimes cap the minimum temperature for air conditioning.

Also, I strongly urge you to contemplate bringing your own pillow if you're a picky sleeper. They have the traditional Japanese pillow style, which is a harder firm foam thing and these small pillows filled with hard beans. Very mysterious.

Generally speaking, it's probably the best place to stay for cheap in Tokyo with very short notice. If I had the choice, I'd choose the Washington Hotel however, as that was by far my favorite chain in the country. Modern, new rooms which were decently spacious, slightly expensive and had excellent bathrooms.

A while back I switched from sleeping on a mattress to a thin mat on the floor, and overnight I went from being completely unable to focus on anything to clear as fuck. I'll try sleeping on my back next and then removing the pillow, since I'm used to sleeping on my side and eventually I plan on getting a standing desk to cut down on my sitting times.

- those electrical clamshell beds (once again bending you at the waist)
- water beds (same hammock problem)
- sleeping bag (as i said before your body can handle most temperatures if you let it try, more heat is bad)

Normally I say yeah but I'm not an expert on those disorders, I've heard you can end up waking up out of oxygen because you weren't getting enough oxygen. But two things if you have that
1. Are you overweight? If so, read my food posts and git on the no grain diet, start losing weight because that seems to be a direct link if not cause of that condition.
2. Consult a doctor about the possibility of aids like the nose thing to open the passages, that can help, surgery might be necessary anyways but try it first (try losing the weight firster). At the end once you kick that condition yes the sleep position is still the best, the goal is always posture+breathing=oxygen and REM optimization.
