So God is not almighty? Because that is the only possibility if Satan is a seperate entity that does evil on its own without God willing it. If he is almighty, Satan is a part of him. That´s not gnosticism, that´s logic.

You see, it would be very different to say that God and Satan are "two sides of the same coin" or "two expressions of the same all-powerful entity" or some other Gnostic horseshit, than to say that God is almighty, and powerful, and that He gets to call the shots even over Satan and the chaotic spirits. If Jesus says shoo, they shoo, because there's some almightiness there. No the same being, rather different beings, but one mightier than the other. Satan and his angels just have to obey God. Those things are very very clearly shown in each of the verses that I picked totally at random but for some reason are all equally relevant. I guess my "not-almighty if not-all evil" God just helped me pick them.

But I understand you, user. It is, indeed, scary to read a book that over the course of Centuries has transformed the minds and lives of so many men greater, smarter, and better than you or me. Maybe because God WANTS evil to exist? It is in fact the only explanation. That means, he is both evil and good and not a truly loving God, but a neutral one. You see, there is a logical flaw in the whole theory of God being a loving / caring God and almighty at the same time. You just can´t have both.
