A 'friend' had me try this piece of crap grindfest, and not knowing how big of a piece of shit it would be, I picked Unairu as my Focus class.
The only thing worth getting in this pool is Scorched Earth, and even that is so ridiculously underpowered compared to every other Focus class in the game.
Everything in this pool is needlessly expensive, too so I'm trying to get as much Focus as I can until my 50-day reward affinity booster runs out.

I thought 'they pushed themselves to outlast the enemy' would be great for Frost, but it really isn't great for anybody at all.

Devs talked about making shit focus trees on par with Naramon, as well as expanding the whole system with focus-based super weapons and shit.

How long will it take is anyone's guess though.

They could start with making Scorched Earth last longer than 15 seconds, Basilisk Flare being a petrifying cone rather than a beam, and the armor buff for Stone Shape being a good 75% once the ability is maxed. Those changes alone would make Unairu so much less underpowered that it would be actually viable.

Also, do passive focus abilities work like Auras, or are they just for the person with the focus pool?

On another note, Baro Ki'Teer was here, and was selling Prisma Dual Cleavers, Prisma Grakata, and Primed Pistol Gambit, so I went ahead and bought all that shit. Oh, and the Stance mods for Glaives/Claws, so I bought those too.

Because even statistically weakest frames can rely on their abilities, weapons and focus to overcome any obstacles and enemies.
Also frames get rebalanced, nerfed and buffed from time to time, so don't get attached to a frame based on its current tier.

However some items and frames are only avialable from dojo - a clan's base. And even then it is possible to join a fully developed clan and just leech blueprints off them.

Hardest content in game is also theoretically soloable, but you should be pretty good for it.

They only unsoloable by design thing are Trials - missions required cooperation of 8 people. But those are optional and in 500 hours I haven't done single one of them, because I'm soloautist.

For better or for worse everything is viable if you dump enough mods in it.
The only shotgun I use is sobek, and it tears shit apart even at 100 levels. And people told me it's not even the best shotgun in the game.

Also my favorite suit is Ash, though I feel I've trivialized the game since even at lvl 100 I'm doing 50% of the mission damage by spamming my ulti and refreshing because carrier sucks up all the energy drops.

Yeah there are mods that expand range and narrow spread cone and vice versa.
Those are "corrupted" mods and can be found in orokin derelict missions. Needless to say you need keys for missions and keys for vault and all that grindy jazz, but they're not so hard to get.
However you do need a party for them, because there are 4 different vault key types, and you can only carry one and vault can turn out to be any one of them.
But missions themselves are piss easy, with level 20 or something enemies and no special hazards or debuffs.

I have played them alright, the Juggernaut is ass to engage.

So as far as I can tell the only spread reducers is a corrupted mod and one that only applies spread reduction when you're sliding. At least it'll be helpful once I get my hands on the Vaykor Hek.

Juggernauts can appear on any mission with infested right? You can just ignore them most of the times.

Just get the regular Hek. Vaykor Hek can't use Scattered Justice.

user, I know this is ridiculous, but in order to explore the rest of the game, you apparently have to reach rank 5, which means getting more weapons and frames to max rank to increase your mastery rank. This is where all the grind comes from.

In two years of semi-regular grinds I've only ever gotten a blueprint for a Rhino chassis and two weapon blueprints that I either couldn't assemble due to required items being on planets I can't get to or the weapons were XP Locked and I wasn't allowed to assemble them despite having the necessary materials.
How fucking long is it supposed to take to grind out the blueprints for a new frame?

Have they retconned the kids out yet so I can go back to being a space ninja in latex suits?

if its them speaking that's triggering you, you can shut them up under options.

For regular early-on frames it shouldn't take that long, all the pieces for frames are dropped by bosses, so you have to keep doing the boss fights until you have all the pieces for a new frame, then you have to either buy the blueprint from the market, or get the blueprint from wherever drops it.. that early on in the game, it's most likely the market.

So it could take just three boss fights for all the part blueprints, and then three and a half days to craft everything. For instance, I have Frost. It took me about 10 runs against the boss that drops him to get all of his parts, 12 hrs to craft the parts themselves from the blueprints, and then 3 days to craft the frame itself. That combined with the fact that the boss dropping Frost parts takes forever to kill, and it took me about five days to get Frost. So it depends on how long the boss takes to kill, and how lucky you are with the part rewards.

And then you have Prime frames that only drop in the void which can be either fairly easy to get or fairly hard to get. It all really is just a matter of time before you get all the pieces, it's just doing the same task over & over again is grindy as fuck.

All this being said, I got to MR 6 without ever getting a different frame, my second one was Hydroid(drops from the Vay Hek fight on Earth), and my starter was Volt. I do not remember hitting MR 5 being that hard at all, I just bought a shitload of weapons from the market for credits and went to town on Survival missions. And if there are any resources I needed, I just asked for a taxi in the Recruiting channel. What MR are you now? I can't possibly imagine you're that far away, getting to Hydroid took me about two weeks, but that was because I was autistically grinding for Oberon on Saturn survival missions.

What was wrong with the kids' existence again? I know their voices are annoying, but I like the idea of Focus and you can turn them off in the settings.

So boss fights are the way to go if I want to get another frame? And max ranking that will up my overall rank?

Polish the things that are already there. Big maps that are full of basically nothing but chests/lockers full of nothing. The only real exception is the moon tileset, which has some puzzles that lead to mods. Meanwhile grineer and corpus sets have nothing but distance to sprint through. This is particularly bad for bosses, which seem to have the longest, emptiest levels.

if they did that then frames like Limbo wouldn't be sitting in the shitter pile. iirc there was a huge feedback thread when Saryn got reworknerfed and nothing came of it. Ember was "in a good place" until they completely redid channeled abilities as a whole to make them scale negatively off of duration (to stop players from using duration as a dump stat for those abilities)

Level scaling, and bandaid enemies like nullifiers being thrown in instead of taking a step back and fixing the problem itself. This is the most obvious in endless missions.

Mods like Flow, Streamline, intensify, or the corrupted mods that are usually required to get any frame/weapon to useable level. You might need that fleeting expertise, but enjoy getting an absurd amount of critical delay before you do. And trading only works when you have something to trade; nobody's going to buy your junk mods because they've all got dozens already from similarly grinding. And I know that someone will say "but you can buy plat" or something, which is bullshit. Why would you spend money on a game with freemium-levels of "pay to progress"

To be honest people spending hours in survival missions are fucking autists anyway. There should be autowin condition once you meet 60 mins, and a whole new set of missions where enemies start with levels 60, 80, 100, etc. And sorties should remade into something similar to trials to accommodate to that.
But yeah you right, as of now enemy leveling system is dumb, and it's retarded that you need to spend hour to just fight level 100 enemies in natural environment.

The game is a buggy mess with updates regularly breaking as much as they fix, everything looks like it was made from play-dough, there's clipping out the ass, and being able to run on consoles isn't a positive trait; it just help shows how utterly shit the game is.
