this problem appears in any developed country, and its cause is simple: money. Now look at today, and see that having even just one kid is fucking expensive. Today's kids need several sets of clothes, a shitload of stuff for school (schoolbags, textbooks, rulers, etc.), shit like phones or even a computer, food (considerably more expensive than before thanks to different dietary patterns – buying a few apples and carrots and what not is cheap, but people, and kids especially, usually want something more), but also a shitload more bills that weren't there before, such as water, gas, and electricity, plus the expenses for having and maintaining a car, and the countless other things that get taxed. Add to it needing to save for a pension, since state pension a shit and your child cannot be expected to take full financial care of you, and that your kid legally cannot bring and monetary returns until after 18 years.

With every kid, you take upon yourself an enormous financial drain, which is why there are far fewer kids born today than before – people simply cannot afford them. Provide generous subsidies for every kid a couple has, lasting 18 years, and you'll see a population explosion.

Most white couples prefer security before having a child, which involves both parents having stable jobs, a nice house in a nice area, a good car with the economy remaining stable also. I don't understand why people make such a huge problem out of low birth rates. Here in europe we have any extreme population density. If 5 generations from now the population drops by 20%, that can only be a good thing. If you want to raise a family, you at least wan't some private property.
