Fukushima going Nuclear

archive.is/8kMqI

TL;DR
For no reason at all, the radiation levels at the power plant spiked.
This is more than Chernobyl residents were exposed to (350 mSv).
Fukushima's most alarming readings during the original crisis were 400 mSv.

but user, the shills in the other thread were saying that Fukushima was nothing to worry about! Tell me it isn't true!

...

Are all the workers at this shit too busy fapping their souls away to degenerate parodies of 2d girls to fix the fucking problem after 5 years?

I wonder if there was (((anyone))) that visited Fukushima recently or anyone with any ties to (((certain people))). Cuz ya know, poisoning the well is a very common tactic.

That chart is probably the only valuable thing that webcomic hack produced.

The Japs think irradiating themselves into X-Men is the only way to kick out the American piggu

oy vey, look at what Trump has done, destabilizing the reactor with the Muslim ban

ty HAARP

Nah, this is an example of that other Japanese stereotype: corrupt and soulless yakuza corporations that don't care for human safety and try to cover up any and all mistakes rather than actually fix them.

This tbh

Why don't we bomb Fukushima?

I wanted to be a skipper on a drift net boat in Alaska with a qt Aryan wife and beautiful white children running rampant on deck.
MFW Fukushima is gonna nuke the salmon into freaks of nature and nobody will want to eat them hence tanking the salmon market and making it unprofitable to be a salmon fisherman.

anime skinwalkers when?
Fuck, I want to get out of Tokyo my dudes, there's hardly any guns here.

We need nat-soc here in Japan, or at least more emphasis on not hurting your fellow Japs. I blame the Koreans.

Japan is never going to even try to clean this up, are they?

Wew. Every time I tune back into the Fukushima business it's 10x worse than it was last time I checked, and I laugh a little, and then I don't think about it again for three or four months.

Nope. At most they will construct another containment dome around the containment dome.. never mind that the clusterfuck going on inside the fucking reactor is eating its way down through the earth and will eventually find the path of least resistance to the ocean.

MIRELURKS SOON

I live on the west coast, so I wish I could say the same. I can't even eat seafood anymore, and going swimming on the coast freaks me out now.

Good question. The recent news prior to this happening was coverage of a study by two Japanese guys examining the impact of ambient radiation on locals (January 23rd), and then TEPCO saying that they may have found the missing Uranium rods (January 30th) where they had a remote drone going in and scouting the area because they ain't sending people in.

Archive.is is being a bitch, so I won't be linking those sites directly right now.

The study (screengrabbed and attached) was about measuring individual doses of radiation vs. aerial readings of radiation per neighborhood. They found that individual doses are about 0.15 of aerial readings, which seems to tell me that people aren't all that affected by ambient radiation levels …

RIP Northwest Front

Srsly tho the US should get that shit under control, we can't let a bunch of stupid bug people ruin the Pacific Ocean even more

That's not entirely terrible. Unless of course they don't plan to produce a containment structure that comes with the tools to dismantle the reactor. They've just completed this in Chernobyl.

if kek wills it we shall all become his children

Reminder that Japan is the same country who had a reactor accident essentially turn a guy into a fleshless mess and kept him alive for months until his organs couldn't hold out anymore.

it was in the name of medical research :^)

TEPCO is brushing everything under the rug, and I wouldn't be surprised if the gov't was colluding. Although they (gov't) changed the laws to open up the energy and gas market to private companies and although TEPCO was private, it had a monopoly over the energy market at least in the Kanto area.

I'm not against nuclear energy, but the gross negligence of TEPCO regarding the nuclear plants is nothing short of shameful.

Are you actually a nip? I thought you guys had Nationalists

I've heard that the old Yakuza gangs were apparently a lot like robin hood gangsters. They'd still sell weapons and drugs and do all sorts of criminal stuff, but they'd have a strict moral code to avoid violence, especially murder, especially to innocents. This changed "recently", but I don't know an exact date, say the 70s or 80s; the modern gangs are pretty assholish from what I understand. They try to preserve the image of "being badass" to recruit people.

Also, nips are pretty nationalistic in general.

Dude why would you want to come over to the US, the place where it's filled with blue haired feminist land whales? Also your people are not breeding, stay on your side of the pond and breed motherfucker.

If you're not an actual Jap I'd stay over in Jap land however I'd move outside of the degenerate cities.

Good. I don't like Japanese people. Degenerate fucking sub-humans. I hate their culture so fucking much. Panties in vending machines. Cartoon child porn. Hentai and anime. Acting like children into their thirties. Fucking can't stand them… All the stupidest shit comes out of Japan. Hell, this furry shit probably originated in Japan.

...

...

Japan needs Aum Shinrikyo to revive. Soka Gakkai members want to align with the kikes to fulfill their "prophetic" anti-Christian/Islam war.

I'd be all for letting them colonize Korea instead. Lord knows both North and South Korea would be better off ruled by the Japanese.

China too. The Rape of Nanking didn't happen, but it should have. Then they'd have a place to do their nuclear power that isn't on a earthquake prone island.

agreed

...

Your bait has offended my but not for the intended reason

I want them to UNFUCK their population's breeding problem before coming over here or try to colonize Gook Land. And in all honestly, I'd rather see America be in control of whites again so as soon as too many are coming in I'd limit entrance.

No, America should colonize Korea, China, AND JAPAN

White Power, leaf-crunching bug people btfo

I hate Japs

You can have a citizenry comprised of nationalists and people who distrust foreigners, but I also believe like the Swedes, Japan and it's people, especially the 30 and 40 year old, are just as susceptible to vibrant diversity, or rather, foreigners to support the economy.

They're not bad nowadays, don't here much of them, apart from when they send support to disaster areas, or there's a break up with families.

I can attest that Japan has weird shit, but at least homos and trannies aren't treated seriously.

not japanese, but spent most of my life here, but several years in America and Hungary.
I want to be back before shtf fam.

Yesterday I was called クソ外人 (fucking gaijin) - Japan is safe, and I don't want another happa to roam the streets of Tokyo

kek approves of this plan

The entire source of the breeding "problem" is the build up of urban areas and the destruction of rural lifestyles due to capitalistic economic pressures. Restructure the economy to encourage rural development and the economic feasibility of starting families and the problem will disappear.

I didn't know General Electric was a Japanese corporation.

>corrupt and soulless yakuza corporations that don't care for human safety and try to cover up any and all mistakes rather than actually fix them.
Also because they will lose face if they admit failure and have to sudoku. Bugman sense of honor.

Holla Forums can be such massive weeaboos. More so than degenerate /a/. That said, your waifu is still a shit.

There's no need for that. The Japanese are respectable honorary Aryans and should be permitted to rule over the rest of the Asians.

2010 was 6 years and 1 month ago.

There's also the historical context to consider.

reminder that phones and (((wifi))) have the same effects

so wifi and cellphones are slowly turning everyone into frog people too?

Well congraturations, you nuked us thrice - now what's the next step of your master pran?

(checked)
Well shit.

That alone is not enough. Once they dismantle the reactor, they will have to get rid of the Elephant Foot, that shit is still active and supposedly rather close to reaching ground waters, which could mean another resounding BOOM.

Supposedly there was some Israeli company that supplied them with software at the time. Some conspiracy theory about stuxnet like kikery. Got memory holed, maybe nothing. Any user that remembers?

There's a reason the US Nuclear Navy uses Westinghouse.

Maybe this was all just a conspiracy courtesy of the kikes at General Electric. What's the angle, though?

Chinese and Koreans aren't even human.

Pretty much every technology created in the past hundred years was either designed to fuck you up or designed by people who don't give a shit if it turns out that it fucks you up. The entire environment of modern cities is a radioactive, carcinogenic mess guaranteed to shorten your lifespan and reduce your physical, mental, and spiritual capabilities.

So a Jewish reactor then. Same thing.

Granted, that's some impending doom shit. Though similarly in Chernobyl, they had to build the new sarcophagus in order to avert another dust-cloud from the roof caving in. Hopefully they can put that engineering genius to work in order to resolve this dangerous factor. Chernobyl was practice in comparison to the difficulty level though.

There's an easy fix for this, gents. Just throw every single Jew in existence into the reactor. Problem solved.

It wasn't the reactor's fault. It was the management's. ( )

The entire accident could've been avoided if they had begun the seawater injections a couple of hours after losing power (once the passive cooling systems were exhausted and power still wasn't on), but TEPCO thought that the reactor could still be salvaged and kept putting it off and off and off until it was far too late.

phones aren't all that powerful… but you're right

So is this supposed to make anime real?

pic related

anyways is right, there's no hiding the fact that Japanese corporations have taken the capitalism to an extreme, and the government in the past was complicit. not sure about it now

if I read correctly yes

I assume the whole reason they want to dismantle the 4th reactor is to try and extract Elephant's Foot.

It wouldn't be a boom, there's no way it will explode even if it goes recritical (nowhere near enough force for that), but it would start putting out fucking immense amounts of radiation.

Kind of like it's starting to do now.

It may be starting to touch groundwater, and then going locally recritical at parts. There's actually geological evidence of this happening – look up the Oklo Natural Nuclear Reactor if you want to see a discovered example of it.

Get hyped.

...

That seems wrong, I never remember reading anything about Chernobyl's fuel melting underground. It was WAY messier than the Fukushima explosion, which is actually better for that situation because the fuel didn't all stay together.

Fukushima is the one where they think a big lump of fucking corium is currently melting through the ground.

What the fuck is he doing? Isn't the "elephant's foot" far more radoactive than that shitty suit and utter lack of facial coverage can protect against?

Well, Ghost in the Shell 2nd GIG refers to "the Japanese Miracle," a contamination cleaning tech developed after WWIII. Then we have the matter of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics predicted in Akira

Anime has always been real, it is the 3DPD world that is the illusion.

This hurts my soul in very profound ways. By no means am I a nature freak, but I love it. I understand the importance of it, the necessity of it, the spirituality of it. You work and believe in changing things for the better. You want a somewhat functional world, a clean world, a healthy world, but always ALWAYS there exists some fucking asshole who cocks it up.

God damned 5 years of this shit, and nothing is being done. The largest ocean in the world is being irradiated to Hell and back because some fucking slants couldn't be arsed to fix it. This doesn't just fuck countless people in Japan, if fucks people across the world, on multiple continents.
MY CONTINENT

What's a man to do? What can man do in the face of such apathy and recklessness?

Remember that the Israelis were involved in this mess.

He already knew he was dead. He chose to die capturing one of the few ever photos of the Elephant's Foot than going back and slowly dying in a hospital for weeks as his innards turned to goop.

Thread theme.

It will never happen, user. (((Sergey Grigorovich))) made sure of that.

It's kind of hard to find concrete info on this particular formation, at least something more modern than a decade or two old, but I assume it's still almost as hot as it was back then. All I can find is "scientific" blogs.

...

I googled the photo a few weeks ago thinking the same thing. Supposedly that guy lived until he was 60 something and did research trips through the plant multiple times. His name is "Artur Kornyev".

If it melts in to the ground then some China Syndrome shit can happen once it hits the water table.

ENEnews.com is a fucking horror shitstorm.

That map is measuring tsunami wave height, not radiation.

Don't worry, it's going to be fine

REDDIT GET OUT

I thought that the radiation messes with the film. I have seen video of them near the control room and the video starts to get all snowy. how the fuck could you capture anything but a 15th detention exposed film of black is beyond me.

Wait, you mean Japan isn't being hit by up to 240cm of radiation?

Why don't we dump all that nuclear waste in the oceans?
Worked pretty well before and noone was harmed.

Blowout when?

How come I've never heard of this shit in all of my years researching nuclear accidents out of morbid curiosity? Sauce?

is something bad going to happen when it reaches bedrock? one would think the sooner it reaches the mantle the better.

From article:

The radiation accident took place in Japan at the reprocessing facility of Tokaimura on 30 September 1999. The poor victim’s name was Hiroshi Ouchi, who was just 35 years old at that time. It happened while he was depositing Uranyl Nitrate containing 16 kilograms worth of uranium ions into a precipitation tank. The result was disastrous for his body as strong radiation comprising Neutron beams ripped through his body and shredded his DNA to bits. Without them, he was very similar to a lump of meat with the body having no idea what to do with food, how to work or even respond to stimulus.

The doctors knew that the moment his body was exposed to such concentrated beams, he was a walking dead man. Despite the damning exposure of radiation, Ouchi was conscious for some time in the aftermath. He could even talk to his surgeons a little and they thought there might be some hope after all.

That is until the skin started falling off, and his flesh exposed and followed the behavior of the surface. His condition worsened every day as his body relinquished control of his intakes and excretions. He was kept alive for a jaw-dropping 83 days with artificial help for medical reasons. He was put into a coma soon after his symptoms became too painful for him. His skin and flesh blistered and began to fall right in front of the doctors. His body organs failed collectively, and he lost an astonishing 20 Kgs of body fluids in a single day, and more had to be pumped into him as well as a huge amount of blood transfusion.

His body was monitored round the clock by a dedicated team of nurses, specialists, and scientists. Stem transplants, skin grafts, and other unconventional surgeries were carried out at his deteriorating body during those days which resulted in no success since his neurological DNA had been damaged. It was clear to the medical staff that he won’t survive, but they kept trying just because it was an extraordinary case.

Radiation exposure

Here is a photograph of the poor individual. There is no skin on him at all. This is what happens when you mess with radiation. Perhaps it was a signal for mankind to stop this unnatural generation of electricity. Nuclear waste will keep on radiating for centuries and we can’t do anything about it.

That sounds fucking horrifying.

No, it's the watertable that it might hit that's bad because suddenly you're leaking radioactive shit totally uncontrolled into the water, which will leak into the ocean and surrounding area and there's almost nothing you can do about it except for building insanely deep walls all around it.

I'm not convinced that MS Paint diagram I found on google images is reliable though. Nobody knows what the corium inside any of the three melted down reactors looks like. They don't know if it's breached the concrete and made it into the ground or not.

...

radiation messes with digital camera sensors. analogue film should do better.

It's not just the leak of radioactive shit into the water, it's the fact that the superheated corium will vaporize the water, creating an extremely high-pressure steam pocket. The same kind of pocket that blew the lid of the 4th reactor at Chernobyl.

If that big hot mess runs in to the water table then that leaking will be a long term problem.

The short term problem will be the massive explosion caused by all the super heated steam rapidly building up when it hits a large body of water. That will blow off any cap they have on top sending everything in to the atmosphere.

This is perfectly normal. 2 readings taken minutes apart can sometimes be wildly different. Odds are there was a bunch of contamination right beside where they stuck the probe.

"Experts". Probably a lot like greenpeace "experts".

No shit, since they didn't walk inside the reactor. You should though, maybe learn a little about this stuff before going around crying chicken little.

As opposed to all the "natural" ways, like damning rivers and burning coal?
So maybe we should just build coal plants instead and irradiate everyone even when the plant is operating just fine! You sound like an oil lobbyist.

Think someone on the Olympic commission is an anime nerd?

The irony is that fossil fuels are often slightly radioactive too.

It's quite obvious, the first mistake was being born in the first place.

That's what I'm referring to. The US coal power industry emits 1 Chernobyl worth of radiation every 20 months. Might be a bit better now that some places have installed scrubbers, but it's still pretty bad.

...

Reminder that just living close to a nuclear power plant is detrimental to a child's health.

www.nirs.org/radiation/radhealth/kikkcommentary0709ijoeh.pdf

I wonder why is it that radiation basically kills your body but there's no decomposition going on at all.

ah I see thank you kind sir, once again ANALOGUE IS MASTERRACE.

As I recall from my medical degree your cells are constantly dying every day and you're constantly replacing them with new cells well into your 50s until those renewal mechanisms begin to slow, with DNA repair mechanisms monitoring the mechanisms involved in the growth of new cells and preventing hyper proliferated growth that leads to cancer, so without those DNA repair mechanisms as they get damaged by radiation, your cells just die constantly without renewal leading to a rapid appearance of similar symptoms to ageing, combined with all the various effects of radiation, burns, organ failure and so on.
Which leads to the effect seen in
At least that's what I think is happening, and the description from the article seems to be pretty consistent with my hypothesis.

But what if that was all part of his master plan? What if the obvious bait was actually a disguise for 8th-dimensional bait? What if you just got baitcepted?

...

THIS IS NOT NEWS

This is literally

>Man is far away from radiation source. Reading is low.
>Man gets very close to radiation source. Reading is high.

They knew this reactor was damaged. There's nothing new about this story.

I'm tired of fucking luddites who have discounted nuclear power, which can meet energy needs for thousands of years with little to no pollution, because of nips and communists who can't follow safety procedures.

Bury that shit in the Sahara. Shoot it into space. Who gives a shit if its radiating for centuries, it's not like we had to keep it under our beds.

lol omg they finally did the music on that, thanks faggot!

Re-reading the articles on the Fukushima incident again, I clearly remember thinking it was no big deal back when it happened, but now it seems like that shit was just as bad as Chernobyl. Even the area nearby is unhabitable and unfarmable.
How can people claim nuclear power is safer than others when we've already had TWO incidents where some chucklefuck at the top of any of the command chains just goes #YOLO on all the warnings/ safety procedures and turn the safe reactor into a death emitter? It'll eventually happen again.

This place is a message… and part of a system of messages… pay attention to it!Sending this message was important to us. We considered ourselves to be a powerful culture.

This place is not a place of honor…no highly esteemed deed is commemorated here… nothing valued is here.

What is here is dangerous and repulsive to us. This message is a warning about danger.

The danger is in a particular location… it increases toward a center… the center of danger is here… of a particular size and shape, and below us.

The danger is still present, in your time, as it was in ours.

The danger is to the body, and it can kill.

The form of the danger is an emanation of energy.

The danger is unleashed only if you substantially disturb this place physically. This place is best shunned and left uninhabited.

Can we meme the 41 words?

Absolutely correct. I for one look forward to a future where people whites only live among the stars in our nuclear powered space habitats.

forgot my pic

In the case of the nips, the blame can be directed towards the anti-nuclear environmental activists who demanded that no new reactors were to be built; forcing energy companies to extend the life of existing reactors.

The Fukushima reactors should have been replaced 20 years ago. If they were replaced, the inherent failsafe mechanisms within newer designs would have prevented 2011.

I told you stupid boyim in the last thread about Angel Cop, and you didn't listen.

GOJIRA !! GOJIRA!!!

This

STANDING

Don't be so hasty. There's nothing not to like about sending a billion niggers to space with a nuclear reactor.

Filter and move on

Wow they are psychopaths.

Something else to consider is the probability of a Gamma Shine event. If the fuel goes supercritical within millionths of a second a huge swath of the planet will immediately be bathed in radiation. We don't need to be 'as' concerned about fallout, because the radioactive particles don't spread when they're not billowing up in columns of smoke. The radioactive particles people fear they might be getting from fish are from initial blasts and dust and such, not what is currently going on.

What is a concern right now is that there is 'skyshine' coming from the plant. Think of radiation not like tiny molecules that give off fuck, the radiation itself is a wavelength of light to put it simply. Imagine infrared heaters, you only feel their heat when you're being struck by the light coming out of them. Radiation in this instance is like that, the only people at risk are those being hit by the radiation. The problem for the plant right now is that gamma rays can bypass the broken structure and containment unit, meaning there's gamma rays going THROUGH the building and into the sky, producing light when it's dark. That means there is a FUCKTON of radiation coming from the broken heap of shit. Those gamma rays, once powerful enough, bounce off the ionosphere and the entire island of japan and some of the mainland will be bathed in radiation as if there was no ionospheric protection from the harmful rays of space.

If the fuel puts out enough energy and goes supercritical? A huge portion of the planet will be fucking blitzed by a super charged terrestrial gamma ray flash in an instant.

archive.is/5eV9p

he just copypasted an article that had a faggy ending

This post was also me btwl.

Thought I'd clear that up since it's obvious that it's just me Rachsponding to Rachself via proxy. Filter and Rachport, fellow Anons!

I didn't know about that phenomenon before today, though explained in simple terms it is perfectly understandable.

Well shit, there's no way out of this one is there it?

...

Sievert isn't used for such high doses.
Nevertheless, this intensity is 100% fatal after less than 1 minute exposure.

With enough boric acid, people willing to sacrifice their lives to save the planet and ridiculously oversized lead containment slabs it would be possible. I'm sure there's a way, but the cost would be extremely high. Part of Chernobyl's danger was that if it melted to a water source it would cause a chain reaction, explode and damn a huge portion of Europe for centuries. The Liquidators didn't know they would be signing up to die or suffer their whole lives. We live in an age where everyone is afraid of radiation and everyone has poor knowledge of it. There are people who think they will have mutated children from standing near the microwave.

While it's technically possible to handle, I don't think there are enough heroes left in man, even if TEPCO somehow DID get the money for what would be required. My worst case prediction is that japan and all it's neighbors will be uninhabitable due to perennial gamma flashes. I hope it doesn't come to that.

Total mumbo jumbo.
You've heard about gamma ray flashes and made the rest up.
The gamma rays from a nuclear reactor don't have enough energy to pass through the atmosphere. They are absorbed within a short distance.

Gamma radiation is annoying as shit - it's the "least dangerous" (least potent) type of radiation, but also the most difficult to stop. Alpha particles (helium nuclei) are extremely hazardous, but are stopped by the layer of human skin, or a sheet of paper, and are only dangerous if a material emitting them is injested or inhaled. Beta particles (free energetic electrons) are less harmful, but will definitely penetrate the human body through skin. However, at least they're stopped by any kind of metal surface thicker than 1-2mm. Gamma radiation is extremely high-energy photons, way beyond x-rays. You pretty much need a layer of several meters worth of lead to stop gamma radiation, it's the toughest thing to deal with when designing protective clothing for reactor workers, and is one of the main reasons for why reactor containment has such thick walls (other than the high-pressure steam going through the heating elements).

Maybe if we reframe it as a jihad we could get ISIS to wander around the hot zone containing it….

I hope this shit carries a cloud of nuclear death to the west coast of America and purges the liberal shitstains from our species.

I hope you realize you have a mental disorder. Please seek professional help.

Breaking- too many redpill on the hwndu threads, mods nuked them all and put a stop-loss program in place where they approve new threads before they go up.

Posting before we are all v&

All of this could have been avoided if the company that built the NPP had done so properly.
Seriously, once you start reading into what happened and why it makes perfect sense why everyone involved fled the country ASAP to avoid prosecution

Also, anyone who hasn't already watched Angel Cop needs to do so immediately.

The guy was pouring radioactive fuel with a bucket because of shit Jap safety procedures.

We need honorary aryan nips to live peacefully on their tiny island and make us animus and jrpgs. Obviously they have no place in white countries, but they do serve a crucial role for us.

If japs fuck this up and end up killing themselves with zero kike involvement I'm going to be really pissed. At least we have international jews trying to destroy our countries and push open borders and race mixing. Japs are going to genocide themselves at this rate.

You're fucking clueless, aren't you?
Gamma radiation is negligible after a kilometer of even open air. It's halved by less than 200.
The fact that it has to make its way through the still-extremely-thick building walls puts even more of a dent in that shit theory.
You don't just need to lurk more, you need to read a goddamn book.

I'd wondered.

Alarmist poor info.
For a start much depends on the energy, gamma rays from plutonium fission are only in the Kev range. Gamma ray flashes from the atmosphere are in the MeV range.
Second, beta is particularly dangerous due to braking radiation, I.e the
shielding you use to stop it emits x-rays.

This, sort of. MAN MADE NUCLEAR POWER gamma is negligible because it has low energy. Gamma produces in the atmosphere has energy levels thousands of times higher, so it can punnch through the atmosphere. This user has taken an article about atmospheric radiation and presented it as applying to nuclear reactors, tut tut, very dishonest.
I guess he was brainwashed by NaturalNews or similar woo site.

this user gets it

they could spend 1% of the energy they normally spend on making sex bots and solve the problem in a year

hwndu shouldn't have been allowed to spam the catalog anyways

Yeah, I should have elaborated. I was just surprised that he made that shit up off the top of his head and people still bought it. There's a disturbing amount of misinformation on both sides, including outright omission of the facts. Part of the reason these fucking accidents happen in the first place, honestly.

Sorry, my bad. I'm no nuclear physicist, that's for sure.

Me either, was just obsessed with radiation for a while and haven't forgotten it all yet.
Tbh it scares me shirtless and always has, regardless of what I read but I don't let that get in the way of the truth.

Ah, according to this guy they found the problem.
160 tons of fuel rods has melted through containment and plopped into the ocean.
I guess it is "tickling the dragon's tail."

Wormwood? A third of the waters poisoned?

Where can I find the non-Kosher translation?

What is it? XKCD?

HOLY FUCK

Fucking kek!
It would be fucking hilarious to see niggers melt themselves using a nuclear. Personally though, I would prefer to put a bullet into their heads and see the nuclear reactor used to power our future space-faring ships.

fucking stupid arrogant nips tbh

You know her personally?

All of the comments in this video sound extremely sure about the end of the world. Is this truly as bad of a situation as they're saying? As in, is this a mankind ending situation?

White House press secretary goes to anime conventions, it's not much of a stretch.

You're retarded.

...

I don't know. I thought it was the usual tree hugger scare mongering but seeing the figures, who knows. We might lose fish as a food source and everything that depends on it. Then what happens if it goes critical and starts fissioning again? Fission byproducts will be spewed into the environment with no way to stop the reaction. Neutron emission will activate elements nearby, creating even more fallout and it's right at the edge of the ocean, that shit gets to you eventually by the process of dilution. Anything living bioaccumulates the nucleotides.

One thing is for sure, the nips need to be brushed aside and White men need to take over responsibility for making limiting further damage. The nips have a "don't mention it and it will go away" attitude because to Asians the only thing that matters is saving face.

its nibiru shit tbh

Pretty much any anime torrenting sites will have it, try nyaa.

It was only years after the Chernobyl incident that hysterical doomsayers slowly began to look for other things to point at as being certain to be the end of the world.
These people like to be scared.

This is massively worse than Chernobyl.

I hope it's not too late. Phitoplankton is the biggest producer of oxygen on the planet, we can't survive if it gets shoah'd by radiation.

No it isn't.

Chernobyl was containable-ish, and ultimately contained-ish. No one is getting this radioactive lava out of the bottom of the ocean now. We're going to have to wait for it to burn itself out, in say, 20,000 more years.

Nah.

A) Wormwood is supposed to come from otter spess.
B) It's supposed to poison specifically rivers and springs - internal sources, not free-standing water like oceans.
C) This "nucular energy is from Satan, muh Bible sez so" is a kinspeercy pushed by (((somebody))) to entice half the world's population into chaos.

C has been going on for quite some time. Out of all the nuclear incidents throughout history, why do you think that Chernobyl is the most famous, and the most associated with the "evils" of nuclear energy? Don't you know what Chernobyl even means? It's Ukrainian for "Wormwood".

It's all just anti-science mythos propagated by Christ-stains and Moonslims.

how?
3 reactors at Fukushima
1 at Chernobyl

and if I am correct the Fukushima plant could create far more electricity, meaning the cores where either larger or more refined either way more radiation ?

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Yes it is you fucking idiot.
Chernobyl released a bit of smoke, this is tonnes of raw material dumped into the sea.
Chernobyl just seems worse because it had a lot of front-loaded effects.

like 7 oceans ,

Air itself is more the enough to block much of radiation except at extreme levels. Water will be much much better at it. You have to worry about contamination of course but you have no idea how big the fucking oceans are and we have 7 of them.

lol the fuck we aren;t. Dredges and concrete and remote manipulation. It will cost a ton sure but the japs will pay for it.

...

Not arguing against water being a good radiation shield (they do use it in reactors, after all), but shit's obviously spreading in particle form. Marine life already started dying.

Because it WAS the worst and because we were still in a cold war, the Western media didn't sugar coat it to protect an ally.
Filtered for lying.
"And the name of the star is called Wormwood. And a third of the waters became wormwood, and many of the men died from the waters, because they were made bitter."

face it japs are a shit, they should commit heri keri for this in way of thoughing their lives away trying to contain this fucking mess.

what fucking genius thought it would be a great idea to build a fucking nuke power plant on not only an fucking fault line but on the damn coast as well..

Global warming is being blamed for the barrier reef dieing off. YFW it was the fucking power plant spewing poison.

You are confused between radiation and radio nucleotides, a common misunderstanding because the press fails to distinguish.
The problem isn't radiation at the site, the problem is radionuclides spreading in the water.

And how does one go about talking to Japanese schoolgirls?

...

Usually on their twitter to talk to them personally. 2ch (aka Jap leddit) otherwise.

So far I've seen a lot of disinfo and misinfo over this.

Wouldn't it be interesting if there was a Like involved in the decision to build there, knowing that it would nuke the Western seaboard in the event of a natural disaster?

what a ((( Coincidence ))) I'm sure I was not baiting for this link in my faux anger.
Thank you for biting can we now ask how does this link back to the JQ?

Japs would have died right off if it was bad, the only people who died drowned during the tsunami iirc.

Probably the fucking geniuses who are packed onto small islands and need power and need water to cool it.

keep telling us about the ENDTIMES!

What part of my post did you not understand?
You think Japs plan all this stuff on their own?

Unfiltering mysylf because you're the liar, user.

I got you goy.
I was agreeing with you.

Different translations say different things, to prove the point you need to translate directly from canon.

Your intention to be sarcastic doesn't stop your post raising a question.
Which is simply that it would be interesting to see a full list of names of the committee and advisors who caused the plant to be built at its location in order to check for Cohencidinces.

Perish the thought.

Man explains radiation is safe and eats plutonium to prove point.

youtu.be/QmJN-LMPnX0

I Agree, that is why I was underlying your prior post to get right to the meat and potatos with is the JQ.

look I suck at making a joke but that was my intention, as I am sure it was yours as well.

And I agree I would love to see the list of names. hell even the money backing the build would be interesting also.

Fucking hell just gas me, damn reddit spacing. urge to check own hilter dubs overwhelming)

Get mixed-up there rach? Accidentally posting your shit from Tor first. Fucking hylyryyys.

Then why did your translation start at the verse immediately after it specifies rivers and springs?

The soviets only admitted to it once it became obvious that tons of radioactive debris floating over western Europe wasn't going to be something they could deny.

This is how retarded you are.

Nope, purposefully reposting it after evading his shitty filter so he sees again the evidence of his overwhelming incorrectitude broadcast for all to see a second time.

...

At times, I think that all is lost and the kikes have beaten us.

Then stories like this come up and I remember we have already won. Whether we gas the kikes to extinction or they genocide us all, we have already won. The kikes shall perish, either by our hand or by the extinction of all life on Earth–we have already won.

These horrors, the radioactive doom that must be held closely for ten thousand years–only we can hold it back. None else have the means, the mind, the will. Oh sure, they say, the Japanese will do it. Of course they will, if they even exist but a few centuries hence–their doom looms even nearer than our own. The Chinese? They'll collect the fuel rods and make glow-in-the-dark shinies to trade to Schlomo for a few shekels. And Schlomo will just love that pretty glow…

we have already won

and yet here we are what 6 years after the event and they are still fucking around. and no serious attempts have really been tried.

How long did it take the Soviets to build the first Catacomb ?

Is it really 6 years? Jesus, it feels like it happened like 2 years ago.

2k11 dude.

It's uranium and if the demonstration is even legit, he specifically states "this material that I just ate is not soluble in body fluids."
But it's probably fake, when he pits the counter probe up to his mouth, nothing happens for a couple of seconds, almost like the guy pressing the button to make "radiation sounds" and push up the needle off-screen, was sleeping on the job.

DROWN YOURSELF IN SEMEN

...

Probably fake.

Does he have 6 fingers because of the radiation?

You're a real funny one. Where I come from people never stop behaving like children. Sad.

Because pic related:

Building a sarcophagus over the top of something is not the same as trying to deal with a subterranean blob of atomic material.
If it was just a case of sticking a cover over the top of the damaged buildings they would have done so already.
These sorts of "well why don't they just do this…" posts are always retarded.

If there was an easy fix that the Japs were simply to lazy or incompetent to perform, they would have been strong armed by nations affected by the incident into action.

A FUCKING GHOUL
A FERAL FUCKING GHOUL
It's not exactly the first time I've heard of this but god damn, it's like more and more of what was once just fiction seeps into reality.
And you can fuck off back to the cuckshed.

People said the same thing when Trump won. People are alarmist.

Don't fuck with my sushi, fam

...

Fun fact, japs import most of their salmon for sushi from Norway. They don't have native salmon, obviously, and didn't use it before they struck the deal.

well this is the point I don't get, why haven't other nations supplied help?
they kept turning it back say don't worry round eye we have this all under control.

But I only eat eel sushi.

Just don't buy sushi at west coast cities, and you'll be fine.

Them Slavic genes mate. Slavs and cockroaches are the only creatures to survive the nuclear war.

It's like you want to be a beta.

Fucks sake user I helped clean this up for a reason.

Damn Japs are brutal

Why can't we send the American press down there as human liquidators?

It is because of the engineering problems at hand to contain it. Such as the proximity to the ocean, earthquake risk, corrosion of any containment used and the fact it's seawater you're dealing with not fresh water. You'd have to construct an underwater subterranean box to encase the corium area, both resistant to seawater/radiation corrosion and can withstand an 8.0 earthquake. That's also neglecting the fact you'd need to design robots to be able to work on this for a meaningful length of time before the radiation fries them.

Think for a second.
If the incident was likely fuck over fishing across the pacific and irradiate the west coast the, US would be giving Japan a choice between "fix it now" and "we will deploy our military and fix it whether you like it or not" and no amount of "there is no probrem, gaijin" would change that.
I'm sure it's great fun thinking that this is all a vast Japanese conspiracy to turn themselves into super-mutants or something, but seriously just stop and think for second.

I noticed you dodged the direct question, here it is again.

So tell me a gain why thats exactly what they did while stopping other "experts" to come help with the issue for 3 years.

here is an snippet from the attached interview from 2013

look guy I don't pretend to know all the answers. but I know there are questions like what I am asking that have either not been asked or are just waved away.

sure I have been using hyperbole to get some responses because in other threads I have read on fukushima these questions just get ignored.

The Russians have said all along that pumping in water to cool the melted reactors was always going to cause more problems than in was worth. That it was just going to create more radioactive water. And in fact we now know that's what TEPCO is grappling with at the site. So the Russians did offer this absorbent technology but as I say it was never used by the Japanese.

However, the Russians are now reporting a more positive attitude in Tokyo towards accepting their help. After all, Moscow has pointed out in the past that there's no such thing as a national nuclear accident. They are all international accidents. And after Chernobyl, the Russians would know.

abc.net.au/worldtoday/content/2013/s3855960.htm

yeah I know ABC is socialist bs but it begs the question, if it is tl;dr for you there is a link on the page to the recording of the interview.

Do you seriously believe that Obama had the fucking balls to even try that strong of a negotiation tactic? And that's assuming it's even a thing on their fucking radar, which it might not have been.

yeah didn't they (EPA) turn off the early radiation monitors on the west coast?

or was that a lie also?

It messes with both. That's how radiation was discovered for fuck's sake.

it only took 4 hours for someone to comment on that, which pretty well sums up this thread

How many of those reactors are fueled in the US? Fermi 2 in S/E Michigan has the same reactor type I think.

I don't know what nearby Davis-Besse has but that place seems to have constant maintenance issues due to age.

And not just due to age but check out the 2002 reactor head hole incident. Just fuck my Great Lakes up fam

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Davis-Besse_Nuclear_Power_Station

Considering we never fucking seem to get these new safe reactors that pro-nuclear people talk about, when are we just going to shut down the old ones? Or are we waiting for a few more major disasters first?

You mean every time you read clickbait bullshit about it they come up with even more far fetched crap because 99% of people don't know anything about nuclear reactors.

This pretty much coincides with a different report finding that the radiation levels are several times lower than previously thought. Who am I to trust, OP?

Because we never seem to get new reactors, period. We're stuck with the old ones designed to work on submarines and breed plutonium for nuclear warheads.

If we never get new reactors to replace the old ones we should probably shut down the old ones. I'm imagining a Fukushima that dumps into the Great Lakes rather than the Pacific, which seems like it would be an unimaginably catastrophic event for the US and Canada.

When faggots like you alarmists and commies let us build new ones

heathens

I agree that it was cruel to keep him alive when he was basically a pile of tandori chicken, but since this was the first case of its kind it makes sense that they wanted to see what else might happen.

That noise brings me fond memories

brutal
why though

Here's to hoping california gets destroyed

That's the big deal with nuclear waste. If it all just stayed the fuck in one place then all we would need to do is dump it in the ocean and it would sink to the bottom and be done with. In order to be affected something would have to swim within 10ft of the core under the ocean, actually probably closer since deep undersea is colder and denser.

Anyways there's one method they've been researching for disposing of nuclear waste that's basically just

The mod community will make it happen.

Mentally ill snowflake Christians who literally believe that they will see Jesus return.

It's an American reactor that's fucking ancient and because of kike capitalism they were too cheap to replace it with newer tech, let alone the idiocy of building it right where it could get fucked by a tsunami.

Build it as cheap as possible, maximize shekels, don't spend any more money than necessary to replace or improve "what ain't broke don't fix" so you get a Jew world where everything is old and decaying so some TepCo honorary kike gooks can have more zeroes in their bank account.

(checked)
Damn fine question, son. The assumption that I'm moving forward with after all of this discussion is that this is actually just business as usual for clean-up of nuclear power plants that get all fucked up.

TEPCO, under scrutiny for fucking this entire thing up in the first place, is doing their due diligence in scouting the nuclear power plant. Scouting the power plant is a requirement in establishing exactly how much the cleanup effort will cost (last estimate was I think $190 billion US, and Japan is already heavily in debt and facing a demographic crunch that their society won't be able to survive in its current state). The assessment of radiation levels at the power plant establish a base background radiation level much lower than the 530/hr reading mentioned in the link above. Yet, they did record 530 mSv/hr at a particular location.

This means that they've probably just found the source of the background radiation, or a clue as to where that source of the radiation has fallen, which (TEPCO's hoping) will probably reduce the cost of the cleanup. The overall radiation levels won't be changing, but now Japan is one step closer to actually stopping the radiation leak from mutating their genetics any further than it already has.

If I'm correct, then what we'll likely see is forward motion in the Fukushima nuclear plant clean-up over the course of the next year and a half. Estimates on the cost will be proportionally less than the original estimation of 190 billion. We may also see an update within the next 4 months confirming that they've found the missing rods, and that clean-up can begin.

What would lead me to think that some fuckery is going on would be a continued increase in radioactive levels, or Japanese government intervention halting TEPCO's efforts in reviewing the situation. Also, I would agree there's some fuckery going on if mainstream media organizations in the states start reporting on this situation as dire around the same time that narrative destroying things happen within the states or the world that would significantly wound them.

(((Funny))) timing, what with Japan just telling the UN they weren't going to take in immigrants.

-t. guy who slept through high school chemistry

It's going to remain where it's been since the accident.

I think you're confusing the initial danger of core material reaching the flooded basement.

Not to mention physics.

Apparently that's actually from some caustic gas container exploding in china, which explains the missing legs. The only actual pictures of that guy I could find was of his face before and after the accident.

3 reactors at fukushima which experienced loss of coolant accidents and resulting hydrogen explosions =/= 1 reactor having a runaway reaction, exploding without a proper containment structure, spewing fuel into the atmosphere, then burning for an extended period of time.

Not all nuclear meltdowns are the same.

Understatement of the millennia.
"Front loaded effects?"

Please.

How dare you insinuate TEPCO isn't 100% honabru and on the level?

TEPCO deserves the majority of the blame for Fukushima, although I agree that you can thank screeching hippies for companies running old reactors as long as they can.

No it won't. Go back to naturalnews.

Pic very related.

Radiation = cancer and fugushima too :DDD

US Navy's been running nuclear reactors that float, move, launch aircraft, get shot at, and go underwater for 50 years without a single safety incident.

Wat did Kek mean by this?

Clearly Kek meant nothing by it.

Why is this clickbait shit allowed? Holy fuck you niggers are all retarded.

Why are newfags allowed?

Yea boo-fucking-hoo mate. Unless they start evacuating people and the thing implodes fucking nothing is happening.

>the entire world watches in horror side splitting laughter as the space ship carrying every last nigger on earth becomes stuck in orbit between the sun and mercury

Kek willing you will be happened upon

shills and the tards that feed them, there's another nuke thread up right now as well.

I feel like panic buying every japanese thing I've been putting off from Japan.

HIS NAME WAS OUCHIE

I feel like this falls under the meme magic category. This man was going to get hurt sooner or later.

...

Welp, I'm a worthless human being for laughing at that.

Do you plan on sticking your head in a nuclear containment vessel?

We're all horrible people user. I came to term with that years ago. Normal people do not laugh at things like that.

Nah, just plan on sitting back and watching as this degenerates further, TEPCO. Do you have any plan?

(checked)

I know, but I try. I try so fucking hard.

China syndrome does not happen and has never happened. Used nuclear fuel does not produce enough energy to melt through meters of concrete and bedrock and every second it puts out less energy than the second before.

Once they dismantle the reactor, they will have to get rid of the Elephant Foot, that shit is still active and supposedly rather close to reaching ground waters, which could mean another resounding BOOM.
Wrong. Notice the guy next to the elephant foot? If it was that hot his plastic suit would be burning. "active" refers to the radioactivity you dunce.

I don't care what you think, 30 CPM more does fuck all.

THE JEW FEARS THE SAMURAI

yes please but
m-m-m-uh AUTISM CAN'T HANDLE THIS REEEEEEEEE

You are retarded.
This is not fuel carefully stored in isolation cells, it is free fissile material of a huge quantity. All that it takes to start fission again is critical mass, which could occur at any moment depending on the way the materials move and fall.
No, it is just too contaminated with fission products to be useful, it still has to be carefully separated to avoid criticality.
Happened at Chernobyl, how the fuck do you think the core got into the basement?
The core was burrowing and flowing towards the massive quantities of water flooding the basement following fire fighting and below that is the water table.
It almost reached it and had it done so, most of Europe would now be uninhabitable. Shifting of the LOOSE AND MASSIVE quantity of fuel at Fukushima can cause another explosion or provide the energy needed to liquify the material and spread it further into the environment.

Fun fact: That chart is wave height, not anything to do with fukushima.

Why would i care about radiation from japan? im more likely to die from the radiation leaked from any of the 70 nuclear power plants south of the south of england in france or dungeness. Even Cernobyl which is still leaking radiation is closer.

Not to mention hinkley point c.

so fuck worrying about japan, im more likely to die from being in the english channel a few times when the water drifting over from penly was a bit radioactive.

We can but dream.

i remember the times when i actually felt radiated once was standing about 5 feet away from a mobile phone mast, the other (which was much more powerful) was driving through an industrial area of calais on a school trip to france.

We stopped by these great big containers, silos and the school said they were part of nuclear stockage site. it was the same as being next to a phone mast but stronger like an xray but constant instead of a short exposure.

if you have experienced it you will know it it feels like waves going through your body.

the outflow pipe from nuclear reprocessing site of cogema in la hague france, the water is evaporated and falls on southern england.

this has happened throughout my life the picture is from 1997 and i was born in 1990 so why would i worry about something that happens in japan when stuff like this happens so near to me.

Um, if critical mass was reached by accident wouldnt the explosive release of energy seperate the mass below criticality?

Isnt that what happened to best korea when they tried?

Can anyone explain to me why he went in to there without the protection and equipment to move them?

DAILY REMINDER THAT FUKUSHIMA WAS A FALSE FLAG OF COSMIC PROPORTIONS

jimstonefreelance.com/fukureport1b.pdf

Alright a fucking expert here I work in radiation protection. The only reason they got higher readings this time is because they got close to the fuel. The intensity of radiation is directly proportional to the square of the distance. You don't need to be a lot more far away and the radiation meter goes way down.

In any place near reactor you will find hotspots that have much higher readings, these guys managed to hit one. Also, radiation doesn't fucking leak, it radiates. Gamma radiation goes through everything. 1 cm of lead will cut its intensity in half. Lots of water, concrete and steel will almost zero it. Just stay far from Fukushima and you will be fine. Even few hundred meters is fine.

...

MRIs feel like a warm bath. I highly recommend it if you ever get the chance.

Or the fact that reactor 3 exploded straight up into the atmosphere, and all of us are breathing in it's particles right now!

I bought a dakimakura of my bride last year and hold her tightly every night. You'll be fine.

I had a dream today about radiation, and japanese school life. Fug Is kek warning me that japan is getting irradiated?

That's not possible. If you were being exposed to a mild dose of radiation (such that it would be the "minimum" amount of radiation you'd need to be exposed to in order to develop radiation syndrome), you wouldn't be able to feel it at the moment you were being exposed. Symptoms would develop later. The kind of radiation that you are describing cannot be detected by the human body, which is why we needed to invent devices that can detect it.

You'd have to be exposed to a spectacular amount of radiation to feel the effects immediately, and you probably wouldn't be here posting bullshit if you did receive that much.

you're not supposed to feel anything from an MRI unless they inject contrast.
what did you have imaged?

"Critical mass" doesn't mean "nuclear explosion". It only means that there's enough material to have a self-sustaining chain reaction that puts out a lot of heat. It's how nuclear power plants work in the first place: pile up enough of the stuff for it to go critical, and then suck off the excess heat with water and use the heated water to do work like turning turbines. Literally the first nuclear reactor ever made was a bunch of uranium bricks piled together in a shed underneath a university, and it was all pretty cool until they gently slid the last brick into place – at which point it went critical and got very hot.

Nuclear explosions are a special case of chain reactions where everything has to line up and be absolutely perfect to get the boom that releases all of the energy at once instead of slowly over time. There will never be any kind of nuclear explosion at a nuclear power plant. All of the explosions you've heard about are either things like superheated steam blowing the top off of reactor vessels, or hydrogen gas buildup (which is what make the explosions at Fukushima).

The explosion was in the coolant loop and didn't atomize the fuel rods like in Chernobyl (it was a hydrogen explosion that resulted from the buildup of H2 in the coolant loop as a result of the Zr + H2O -> ZrO + H2 reaction that occurs with the cladding at extremely high temperatures). The explosion gave the fission products a pathway to the environment and is absolutely a catastrophe, but it didn't send Uranium particles "up into the atmosphere".

As others have pointed out, you're right that radiation itself doesn't leak, but, you neglect that the fission products which emit radiation do leak. Right now, the only observed transport pathway for fission products is transmission by air so only gaseous fission products have the ability to leave Fukushima, such as I-131, Xe-131, Xe-133, and Kr-85 all of which are stable enough to be realistically transported away but are still radioactive. However, if the corium mass gets access to running water, that provides a pathway for all the various fission products that are water soluble to get away from the reactor and then shit gets really bad.

I get the back and forth scientifically between anons and some shills mixed in HOWEVER if another tsunami happens and washed all that nuclear waste material in the ocean stored in their makeshift containers so vast can be seen on google earth just what do you think will be the outcome of all that dumping into the pacific you retarded faggot.I can tell you that will be an ELE as the entire food chain will be destroyed not to mention living environment. You need to understand MOAR what is involved.Nips are not capable of fixing it or anything only way it will get fixed is to put russians and other Aryans on the problem with unlimited funding then and only then will it be contained until then it is just a precursor to ELE that no shit skin cares about or could fix even if they tried. Its all on the line right in front of your face and no e celeb alt right center left blah whatever going to save the world It will be white Aryan scientist picking up your fucking mess NOW STEP DOWN !!

i hope it blows and kills all those filthy nips

Relax, they're just using the Japanese as an experimental basis to pinpoint genes necessary for radiation tolerance so we can colonize the stars.

yeah dude this thing of yours was kinda funny and a bit annoying but now its just sad. like whats with this tranny maddow that gets you so hard? cant you just help yourself or is it something you try to work on?

testing HAARP effectivity in causing earthquakes and shit around the globe

TO BE FAIR, really shite mutations are usually bred out pretty quickly and it's difficult for them to spread throughout an entire population, especially one spread out as widely as salmon. Now what the radiation can do, and might well do, is produce a bunch of SNPs or deletions which in turn are recessive traits for these salmon so that every generation of salmon, you'll get a lot more juveniles dying, eggs failing to hatch, sterility, etc.

The whole Fallout thing was based on a virus sent out through the world that fucked up the ecology in tandem with the radiation, not radiation alone. Honestly, that's the only way I could see those sorts of fucked up changes happening.

Yeah, but this sort of anti-nuclear sentiment is pretty much everywhere. Dudes want clean energy, which is cool, but they want to act like wind, solar, and geothermal can provide a stable grid. (Protip: they can't.) Even when you add in the number of waterfalls you can viably stick hydroelectric generators, you're still far short of what modern demands are. Besides, a grid that fluctuates wildly throughout the day and by conditions is hard as fuck to maintain, especially given that we can't really afford to store power in capacitors and batteries during off-peak hours while production is up so that we can dump the capacitors and batteries during peak hours or when production wanes. Battery and capacitor tech just sucks too many dicks right now for that sort of thing.

plz listen to this guy. A star is on a quantitatively different scale than a nuclear plant, as you should be able to just… intuitively grasp I hope. Even our sun, which is considered pretty mediocre, blows the ever-living shit out of any nuclear material we've stockpiled in terms of its output on an hourly basis.

lol dude, when the fuel is spent it is quite literally depleted. That means that it has accumulated fission products (e.g. Cs, Rb, etc.) as well as a higher ratio of U-238:235 ratio such that it is no longer considered sufficiently enriched (because the larger portion of U-235 was blown in the process of fission). It cannot be reused in a standard reactor without refining and mixing with more fissile material. Now, to be fair, in the US depleted uranium is used for all sorts of shit by the MIC in munitions, vehicle armor inserts, and on and on. Some of the other waste byproducts are used as well, but much of it goes on to collect dust.

How are pictures made?
hint light photons
What is radiation?
hint it's not so different

This is what it looks like in a reactor

hint neutrons aren't photons

MRIs don't give you any radiation though so it's completely off-topic.

He probably felt some sort of electro-magnetic current; I've felt them too usually around high voltage.

Yeah bad analogy.

Photons are a measurment of electro-magnetic radiation light; when a neutron spontaneously decays it produces a fuckton of electrical energy which produces its' own electro-magnetic radiation which becomes the photons that hits the camera.

Then again, read the fucking thread and there's a lot of people you should be screeching at autistically tbh fam.

i'm okay with this

WAT-WAT-WAT?

Is the ionosphere a mirror now? NO! IT ISN'T! Can we see the stars? YES! WE CAN SEE THE STARS!

Gamma rays are a type of light–just like X-rays and, well, visible light. While some radio signals, which are also a type of light, can be reflected from the ionosphere, wavelengths as short as microwaves easily traverse the ionosphere. Visible light is shorter than microwaves. X-rays are shorter than visible light. Gamma rays are shorter than X-rays. THE IONOSPHERE WILL NOT REFLECT GAMMA RAYS BACK TOWARDS EARTH YOU IDIOT NIGGER!
The atmospheric absorption of cosmic gamma rays is due to the enormous mass of the atmosphere–it's just really spread out.

Only areas with line-of-sight to the plant and slightly farther (due to gamma ray penetration through solid rock to an extent) could possibly be affected.

WRONG!

When did the atmosphere become opaque?

You are correct about gamma radiation. Its ability to penetrate nearly anything is exactly what makes it less dangerous–radiation can only harm you if you actually absorb it. A gamma ray that goes completely through you and doesn't interact can't hurt you. This lack of interaction is why solar neutrinos haven't killed us all.

Yes, because all known gamma sources are isotropic radiators and the inverse square law applies. A concentrated beam would go much further.
As do you.

Depending on how much of the ocean is kill, it could be a life-on-Earth ending situation. More likely, it will just give Califaggots some extra cancers. Some of you are alright, don't eat the sushi.

In fairness, that works for a lot of problems. Nuclear death leaking into the Pacific is not one of them.

Fukushima Daiichi could produce more electricity because it had more reactors. Only Unit 6 was even comparable to the reactors at Chernobyl.

The reactor core was (1) exposed to the air and (2) on fucking fire. That smoke was bits of nuclear material.

A number of GE engineers resigned in protest over those plans, yes. Management did it anyway.

Management did overrule the experienced engineers who said that the site was unsafe.

And here I thought it was just greed…

Oops. We've memed irresponsibly.

An enclosed MRI, I presume? Your radiated body heat reflects off the interior of the magnet. You might get some additional dielectric heating if the RF intensity is excessive.

The Pacific is very large. I wouldn't be so sure.
Besides, THIS IS THE FUTURE YOU CHOSE
