Portugal is one of the prettiest countries in Europe if you're into older architecture, most buildings and streets in the capital are old and quite pretty, the food is superb, the places I've seen in the countryside are also exceedingly pleasant. Granted I haven't been there since before the migrants really started flooding into Europe, so maybe it's become shit, but in terms of visuals, I'd say it's by far the most old fashioned and unique looking country in the west.
