Robobot actually gets some choppiness here and there. I think Nintendo is trying to subtly shill for the n3ds by making their games less optimized for the o3ds. It honestly sucks. I mean they keep the amiibo and miiverse icons on your screen on the o3ds even though you can't use them. It just feels weird.

I just saw it was Robo Mech fighting Kirby.

O3DS can use amiibo through an external peripheral that makes use of the IR sensor near the cartridge slot, but that it's a little choppy at points is surprising to hear.

Also guys, is it wrong? I've gotten to world 3 so far and I'm still not having that much fun. It just feels so-so; sometimes kinda fun but other times pretty meh.

Everyone seems to be having a great time with the game but I'm just not getting into it. I adored Monster Hunter when I tried that so I know I'm not totally against trying new things. I just, maybe I'm enjoying the game wrong? I noticed that if I look at the scenery and just sorta relax while I'm playing, it can be nice, as I've always adored Dreamland since and it's one of my favorite fictional worlds, let alone video game worlds, ever.

I really like how big Pop Star seems to be; we always have new places to visit, and there are really cool villains at every corner, and friendly characters at every other. And the path full of those corners is filled with beautiful fairy-tale scenery and lots of lighthearted, dream-like places. Honestly if I get lucid dreaming done I think it'd make a pretty awesome place to chill out, even though that sounds kind of autistic.

But yeah I think I'll get hooked onto the game later. The robots are definitely more fun than the near braindead hypernova mode, and the little Ness hat on the ESP ability was a really cool little reference. I think I just gotta warm up to it I guess as these newer video games can be a little off to me at first; but I usually end up warming up to them. Maybe I'm just getting tired of vidya and need a break from it, which is sort of sad as I really don't have anything else to entertain myself with much.

Yeah I've had bad slowdown while using the fire ability for the mech, generally. The more fire I put everywhere and the more enemies on screen, the worse it gets. I wish Nintendo would optimize their games harder as I bought this 3ds years ago and I have better things to buy instead of a slight upgrade to something I already have.

Holy shit. People used to joke around about Kirby having lore, and I knew it had a bit of it, but I didn't know it was tying shit together this intensely. Maybe Kirby DOES have deep lore afterall.

How insane. I'd like to revisit the Mirror World in a game someday. That'd be cool. Shadow Kirby took Kirby's place as the defender of the Mirror World alongside the other Kirbies, so, a game where we revisit them or even call upon some of them for help might be cool. We do see the other Kirbies in some of the games as recolors for alternate Kirbies, though, so maybe they're closer than we think.

It's perfectly fine to update your emunand, just remember to make sure your nands are unlinked and only update from System Settings while in Rxtools or Aureinand or whatever it is you use.

Yeah. I knew there was a bunch of lore in the game. It's really awesome, honestly. I want more lore in Kirby, as Dreamland has to be one of the most beautiful video game worlds I've ever seen. Everything is at least a somewhat beautiful sight, the days are always pretty, and there are awesome villains and adventure at every corner. It's basically an adventurous child's dream, kind of.

Also this game has made me realize how much I love Meta Knight. I mean, I thought he was cool before but his honor and general desire to protect others is just so cool. Not to mention he has an awesome crew of warriors. I think Meta Knight could honestly get his own game sometime, with how much there is to use with him.

With the theme of robots in this game, I really wished they brought back Heavy Lobster or something. I still gotta beat the other Kirby games, and I'm honestly pretty eager to do so.

It said Haltmann lost his daughter; yeah, Susie is definitely his daughter, but I believe that Susie is a robotic recreation of his lost daughter that he made out of despair of losing her.

Robo-Susie eventually betrayed him though, and, I'm wondering if this was a flaw in her design or if Susie really did have something against him this whole time?

I like Triple Deluxe, but the additions of robots, a better use of the 3D and the fucking boss battles make Planet Robobot one of the best Kirby games I've played.

Thanks, seems a little risky though. I might go ahead and hold off for now. Right now I'm in the financial situation where bricking my system would be pretty shitty. Still, it doesn't look to hard. Maybe I'll mess around with my O3DS when if I ever get the new one.

The way I did it back in January (set up homebrew, downgrade with sysupdater using 9.2 files, set up emunand, use RxTools to load emunand) wasn't risky at all, just frustrating due to the downgrade being finicky.

Partial downgrades are almost always fixed by just running the downgrade again and soft-bricks can be fixed by booting into recovery mode (holding a button combo while turning on the system) and updating your system to a usable firmware, at which point you can try the downgrade again. A hard-brick can be fixed but only with a physical hardmod and a nand.bin backup of your old firmware. It's nigh-impossible to hardbrick with the downgrade and CFW set-up unless you use the wrong system's firmware for the downgrade, ie using New 3DS 9.2 files instead of Old 3DS 9.2 files.

I dont really like how the game only has three original bosses (first, third and final)
World 2 makes you fight 4 old bosses, two of which were in the previous game.
World 4 is just Meta Knight
World 5 is just Dedede, although the last phase is effectively a completely different boss
World 6 is Meta Knight with a slightly interesting second phase, followed by a more difficult version of the World 3 Boss
At least the final boss is original the last phases design is basically NOVA though, even if fought completely differently
As for the extra bosses
Bringing back Dark Matter was cool, since you know can fight it normally(without special final ability), but i dont like that you rematch the previous game's final boss already
And fighting Galacta Knight is starting to outstay his welcome for me

This game is going in a little too hard with references to past bosses, in my opinion

I havent gotten to the last boss of the true arena yet, but i hope it's not just a rehash of the previous "Soul" bosses again, i already didnt like the previous two for doing that

Don't worry too much about a hardbrick because there's like a 0.001% chance of it happening with everything done properly, you're infinitesimally more likely to softbrick from inability to follow directions than you are to hardbrick doing everything correctly. If you're out a system doing everything properly that'll be the first time I've ever heard of it.

Godspeed with it, with the recent trend of Nintendo pseudo-global releasing games by JP releases having all languages and DLC being totally piratable you're set for life with a piracy-ready 3DS and CFW.

i bricked my new 3ds by forcing shutdown after it the downgrading progress was stuck at "shutdown in 10 seconds"(or something to that effect) for minutes.

Actually it's pretty clear Haltmann based his entire company/empire on the ancient's technology. If he based the Holo Defense API off of Pix from the black pyramid on Rock Star, it stands to reason he based his guards off Metal General, and he mentions that he only found Star Dream (and therefore the entire clockwork star).
