Oh boy here we go. Romania user here, let me sum up the situation:

We had a revolution in 1989. After the revolution, a very proeminent 'Party' formed, composed mostly of ex-commies. The party was named FSN. They procedeed to infiltrate evrey state institution. In 1990, the people started protesting them, seeing that the bloodshed of the revolution was in vain as they are still being ruled over by communists.

The protests lasted for a while but the leader of the FSN, Ion Iliescu didn't even think about quitting, he hired thousands of miners from the country to come to Bucharest and beat up the protestors. They actually came and beat the shit out of thousands of people, killing 6 (citation needed) and all the opposition.

This move, in typical bolshevik fashion ensured that Ion Iliescu (which was schooled by the KGB and was a proeminent member in the communist regime) stayed in power till 1996. He was then followed by a weak man and then was reelected out of disgust for the countercandidate, a rightwing extremist that actually was batshit insane (Vadim Tudor).

Troughout the 90', the FSN (Now named PDSR) people shamelessly implanted themselves into the stream of public money, stealing all they could and not even trying to cover it up since they had pretty much absolute power. There were thousands of them and they sold away evreything that this country had going for itself. The refineries, the plants, the factories, the fucking oil under our feet, all of it was gone, sold to (((foreigners))) for a fraction of what they should have costed and all because of the red plague that was FSN/PDSR and that exists today as PSD, who shamelessly pocketed the money. By doing so, they killed all development in Romania and reduced the entire country to a socialist shithole where the gypsies tripled they're filthy population since 89' because PSD stays true to their socialis principle and provides them with means of living just for reproducing.

This went on until 2004 when the 3rd-ish term of Iliescu ended and the Liberal Democrats (Note: Party names in Romania mean absolutely nothing. They have no core ideology. Compared to the PSD, the liberals were right wing). Traian Basescu took office. He salvaged the economy that was failing ever since the revolution and managed to put the country on an upward spiral for once.

Basescu was a very strong willed and comparatively honest man. He had some skeletons in his closet too and sadly managed to associate himself with some very shady figures. He imposed a tough anti-corruption platform and actually managed to get several PSD people who were leeching the state, behind bars.

Evreything was going swell until 2008 when the economy crashed. Basescu's government was forced to enact budget cuts and this angered a lot of people. The PSD commies, who were the opposition capitalised on that and blamed the government for the global economic crysis. People (people outside the cities in this country are extremely stupid) bought it.

PSD has a habbit which is famous here. During election campaigns they just go out to the countryside and give people basic foods to make them vote for them. As stupid as it sounds, it actually works very well and this, coupled with the economic crash and a retarded attitude shared by most young people to not go vote because ("you don't have who to vote with") ensured that they won evrey parliamentary election ever since.

In 2009, we had a refferendum, proposed by Basescu to reduce the number of seats in parliament from an "insane for such a small country" 480 down to 300, cutting a lot of useless spending. The refferendum passed but was completely ignored by parliament, which was now dominated by PSD and the liberals who betrayed evreyone and alloed with the socialists.

Never knew Romania was in the shits like this.

Also PRU is made out of PSD rejects and are pro-russian scum (Romanians are allowed to be anti-Russian here, we got our reasons).

The situation went on as a retarded power struggle between Basescu and PSD-PNL until the mid 2010's when a far more serious crackdown on corruption began as acting president Klaus Iohannis took office, a clean man with an even tougher anti-corruption stance. Many proeminent figures from all sides were sent to jail for corruption and pretty much all-out war was declared.

The lines became clearer than ever and this struggle continues to this day. It is not a fight between kikes and nationalists. PSD flaunt nationalism but it is just a marketing ploy. All they are interested in is stealing and turning Romania into a typical ex-commie oligarhic state in which they have absolute power.

Whoever says PSD is nationalistic should do well to remember that it was Victor Ponta (ex-PSD Chief and sadly ex-PM) that signed with Erdogan to build the largest mosque in eastern europe right in the middle of bucharest, all because he was (hopefully) offered a bribe.

Ok enough history, now for a sitrep:

In december we had parliamentary elections and as usual, PSD won majority along with some 'liberal' traitors. The opposition is composed of Basescu's men and some people who might be kike-puppets but who will never get any real power to go full lefty because this still is and probably will always be a very conservative country.

The PSD has a very efficient propaganda apparatus ran by a guy who is currently in jail for stealing public money (very important!). They have several television stations that spew propaganda and straight up shameless lies continuously, trying to portray the PSD people as the saviours of the realm and some completely retarded people actually buy it, oblivious to the fact that they have been in power for most of the last 10 years and all they did was steal money. Under the guise of faux-nationalism and populism (giving fucking 10$ extra for pensions) they actually managed to convince a lot of idiots to still support them.

Now lets get to the spark that lit the flame and that got 300.000 out in the streets:

After they won the elections in december, PSD tried to appoint a prime minister - government combo. First, they appointed a muslim woman, Sevil Shaideh (nationalism right?). She was swiftly rejected by the president and then they came up with another candidate, Grindeanu, a guy who has his tongue so far up liviu dragnea's ass (current PSD chief) that he is literally unable to speak. He was accepted and after assuming office he went ahead to shit on all the promises that PSD made during the campaign.

Then, he did the UNTHINKABLE and proposed 2 executive orders:

1 - "GRATIEREA" TO PARDON EVREYONE WHO IS CURRENTLY IN JAIL, with the only justification being that jail sucks. He did this because several, (read hunderds) including high ranking PSD people are still in jail for corruption and they want to get out so they can steal more.

2 - "AMNISTIA" TO WIPE ALL CURRENTLY ONGOING INVESTIGATIONS CLEAN with absolutely no justification. He did this one because thousands of PSD people are currently being investigated for corruption and many would probably join their colleagues in jail

People came out in droves once the proposition became public.

The government tried to push it under the rug and sent it to parliament.

Then, the madmen came up with another one, this one really has absolutely no justification. It is ammendment to the penal code that makes taking bribes and public money up to 200000 lei (~45000 €) legal.

I'm not kidding.

They actually made stealing (up to 45k) legal. The PSD chief Liviu Dragnea is being invesigated for stealing 108000 lei once and was to be prosecuted around this time.

After days of protests, the government assembled at night and just went ahead and passed the order. It is now law. Stealing is now legal in Romania (sour irony)

That is why people came out in the streets. Evreyone who does not buy into their propaganda is raving furious. Evreyone wants to go protest. This is not a fight for kikes. This is a fight against communists, the same communists that we fought in 89 came back in power and just made stealing legal for themselves. And their propaganda machines are trying to spin it as us (myself included) being paid by fucking Soros.

There's been a lot of shady shit done under the guise of "fighting corruption" by the shills, who were in power for years. Now in Romania and any country that was ever touched by Turks really most people do at least a little bit of corrupt stuff, but people have been jailed for complete nothing or madeup reasons, because they opposed the wrong people. Putting someone in prison for corruption was a means of getting them out of your way, and scoring points with the EU as well. I am very suspicious of any action taken by the shills previously in power, and the current shill president, however nice it looks in the media.

The reason why it jumps from one issue to another is because of the HATRED for PSD. They've been a parasitic organization who steals as much as they can from public funds with bogus contracts and then do their best to evade punishment by fucking up the justice system. Now they messed up, they got too "ambitious" and a huge movement started so we don't want to let it go to waste. We'll put as much pressure on DNA to investigate the government and make arrests as we can. We also want to put pressure on political parties to kick out the members who are currently being investigated for corruption, incompetence, negligence and so on. The pretext was indeed the first OUG, but it was always about corruption as a whole and that won't end because the law was withdrawn.

Also these protests don't destabilize anything. We only had violence in one night and that was only because of a ~200 group of people who were quickly "calmed down". In the rest of the time the protesters were only jumping around yelling like a bunch of ADHD children. We had countless more violent protests in the past 20 years, bot none as big, because most people at this protest were """"educated"""" people (students, workers and people who spend 10 hours a day on the internet), not gypsies who haven't even finished primary school, and have never opened a book or a computer.

If you're worried that, somehow, someone will take advantage of this situation to assert control of the country, don't be. Antonescu is considered a national hero by anybody who was even partially interested in the history of the country during the second World War while everybody else doesn't really care much about him.
