Like most drawfags here (except maybe those from /monster/ who might more readily post their own stuff – I don't lurk the board enough to know) I've never uploaded anything on the booru myself. As befits Doom being the GM, he would be doing his part to overblow his contribution to game night. So he would introduce dynamic sound cues, banquets for snacks, and maybe an explosive, depowering leash collar on all 4 set to deactivate if they beat his campaign.

Ben Grimm keeps getting slept on as far as smarts go. Not really brought up, but the guy is a baseball stats nut (to the point that if you give him a baseball sports almanac, he can tell if he's in an alternate earth or not). I think this would translate as him fiddling with the character sheet.

Johnny would be a Leeroy Jenkins-type, but he'd also tend to be the face of the group, given that I'd imagine he'd be the guy to boost charisma stats.

Honestly, I don't really know what Sue would be doing. Probably have her rolling her eyes at the lowkey Reed/Doom debate going on.

This comics story, villains, and heroine were pretty terrible, but so was the suit for the main character. I don't think it's a stretch to suggest you anons could do much better. How would you breathe some life into this rather boring(except for the curves) character? Seems like when i build a character out of boxes they just look stiff, but without them the errors start popping up.

I know it may seem like bum advice, but I'd say try looking up life models in those perspectives or in similar perspectives.

You need a model first to understand. Copying is the most basic form of learning. However once you figure out what goes where, you detach from your references and draw freely.

There are two reasons.
1. All he is doing is trying to keep people from talking to each other. They do this because it keeps people divided, and unable to resolve issues. This no longer works though because now people are seeing through it.
2. They try to silence people by driving them away from social platforms, but this no longer works because we will just set up shop somewhere else, and continue like usual.
Usually only Holla Forums deals with this on a daily basis, but sometimes we feel it to. It really goes into overdrive when there is a big political shake up though.

Draw a lot.

The hardest things about practicing drawing will be motivating yourself to practice the boring shit and then actually coming up with shit you want to draw. I'm moderately skilled, at best, but the problem I always run into is that I can't think of anything to draw, which leaves me without motivation, so I don't draw anything and fall out of practice.

I'll just copy+paste what I said in a different thread, with a little extra:
Off the top of my head, immediate advice would be that you shouldn't think of it the same way you think of working with traditional media. In my experience, drawing with a tablet is almost like "sculpting" in two dimensions. Did you lay down a line too thick? You can "carve" some of that line away to achieve the desired weight and variation. Same goes for fields of color. You can add and remove whatever is necessary without worrying about material buildup or damaging your canvas. Basically just don't restrict yourself to working with it the way you work with pencils and ink pens. The sooner you embrace this, the fewer bad/inefficient habits you'll carry over from traditional media.

Also, don't use white as your basic canvas color. It's tempting to do so if you're accustomed to working on paper, but it will cause problems since paper only reflects light while a computer display emits light. In addition to causing eye-strain, using a white canvas when working digitally will tend to cause your color selection to be way too light/desaturated. Using a medium or off-medium gray as your canvas is a lot easier on the eyes, and also makes it a lot easier to make strong, vibrant color selections. It took me an embarrassingly long time to learn this.

I would say motivation is the biggest issue. I don't draw as much as I should and when I do I get discouraged when it looks like shit or I can't find a way to fix it. I've tried drawing just to draw and work up skill, but I haven't been able to gauge the progress and then I get more discouraged.

Most of the threads i've posted in weren't so mopey, rather unconfident and insecure at worst as I have no solid frame of reference of which to base my opinion of my own work on.

I've noticed I've been drawing less and less of that lately, though not by conscious decision.

It's always pleasant to see abstract cheesecake such as your content; It's one thing to have nice, ripe tits, wide hips, and fat thighs, but to have a bit of a "mindfuck" element to it makes it all the nicer.

I see this a lot as The Big Obstacle for up-and-coming artists. This is something where taking a page from the autismos may actually be beneficial. Create a fictional world or two, with their own characters/factions/aesthetics/whatever that you can work within. I find that staying motivated is a ton easier when I have a context for my work to fit into (in my own case, I have a science fiction and a fantasy setting which are both pretty deeply developed at this point, and a less-developed mecha-oriented setting for when the giant robot urge strikes). This is helpful because it means that when I'm doing personal work, I'm not working in a vacuum- the work has a functional purpose in realizing some aspect of that created world. Having two or three settings accounting for different genres helps to prevent you from getting burned out on too much of one genre/aesthetic. Create a character or characters that you like and want to develop. Make them your muse, something that you keep iterating on long-term and come back to when you don't have any other ideas to work on.

When your only motivation to work is "must get better" it's very easy to get discouraged. But when you have that knowledge that your personal work isn't just for practice, that every sketch is helping you to build a world, it's not so hard to keep pushing forward.

Would it at all be possible to create good artwork without using structure or frames? You know, starting with a circle and lines to set up the head? I haven't been able to do that stuff well at all, if anything it makes my art look worse. I've always just started with an eye or chin first and worked up from it instead. But now I'm wondering if I'm at some sort of filter, where I'd need to use these structure lines to go beyond. It's easier to deal with them on computer rather than paper however.

Some shitty shadows, some shitty highlights, create a copy of the new look, run it through a shitty pastels filter, lower the opacity so the original layers show through until you don't hate it. Photoshop, quick and easy
