I'm genuinely looking forward to it.
I know such a response isn't welcome on a hip and edgy board like this but I do like the show.

That's fine. You can like it if you want. Just do one of two things. Acknowledge it's bad but you still like regardless or actually defend the show if you actually think it's good.

I don't see why it's bad, user. I've been watching it and it actually seems well made.

Excellent, more Gfur of this show is needed.
And the owlgirl.
And the preteen hardcore stuff too.

If you can't back up your claim of it being good then you're nothing but a shill. Defend yourself damn it.

As long as Bojack actually improves to some degree over this season, I'll be happy. If he goes bck to full shithead, I'll probably be done watching.

I wasn't the one that made the initial claim though. The show is consistent, and if you're into watching a rich asshole fuck up his life and the overforgiving people keep coming back to him so he can fuck up their life as well, it's very entertaining.

I kind of think that's the point. Adults don't change. He's compulsive and obsessive, this is Bojack. Any time he hits any sort of normalcy he regresses back to his abusive asshole self.

He's clearly changed some over the first two seasons, just very little. The first season was him realizing he was a shit person, and that he wanted to change it. Season 2 was him trying to work toward fixing himself, but realizing that it was really really hard. The final words of the season are the monkey telling him to stick with it. But in season 3 he dicked around got an old friend killed, and agreed to start up his old show and then flipped out leaving a bunch of people without a job and another old friend deep in debt from trying get the show off the ground.

Anons like you is why I love Holla Forums.

I like it too. I don't think Bojack is ever going to improve, and is heading straight for downfall. I just hope he doesn't drag the other characters down with him. Diane is going to ruin her life too it seems. I just want Princess Caroline to be happy and Todd. Todd deserves the best.

Good, Diane is a cunt. Out of all the characters she deserves it most.

Agreed. I use to like her a little bit. But she turned into a real cunt mid season two and unbearable season three.

Yep.

I saw her bitchification coming from the first episode. It's the inevitable end to characters like her.

Ditto

It's a real shame because I adore Mr. Peanut Butter, probably one of the most funniest characters on the show. He's the one who is going to get hurt the most by this because he loves her so much. She's going to betray him, and he's gonna lose his job and wife.

...

Hey Holla Forums

...

Hey Reddit

Holy shit this is so poorly animated.

Come back if you watched the fucking show and noticed noone gives a crap about the animation.

Jesus he turned Diane into another him.

The writing isn't anything to write home about either.

Diane's downfall began a long time ago. Coming to it's worst when she started being a bigger bum than Bojack. Mooching off him, drinking heavily, and using drugs like nobodies business. She has the illusion of control over her life now but she's still very clearly broken and keeps making mistakes that don't let her fix anything.

Oh yes, the show about a washed up celebrity horse who fucked up his life is something to give a crap about. It's just as bad as Reddit and memey when it tries to make you feel bad for the characters.

What cartoons you like user

Fuck, the last episode I watched was fight after he gets kicked out of the deers home and grabs a life back to his place with his boat. I need to catch up unless someone wants to give me a TLDR

tl;dw

I like it and refuse to have an opinion about whether or not it's actually good so suck a million dicks

Way to be a mindless pig that can't even form a thought about why he likes something or even just acknowledge it's no super amazing but you like it anyway. Fence sitters are the worst kind of people. Pick a side. Form an opinion. Use your damn head for once.

bump

Fuck off.

Well, Season 4's out. Anyone watch it yet?

wonder why these sage downvotes are more obvious by the minute.

OH SHIT I missed my friday night entertainment.

It's always the same faggot, who keeps whining whenever someone recommends it.

It's also the same faggot who makes the "Hey Holla Forums" posts, I tell you. It's just some asshole who's got nothing to contribute.

Except maybe some threads of a shitty cartoon or furfaggotry, and then is pissed noone joins in.

I know because I was like that too. When I was like… 16.

It gut-punches in episode 2 already and Bojack is an asshole as usual.

Watched it the moment it came out.
Overall, it was a pretty weak season. Out of all the arcs that were messy, lead to nowhere, or in Todd's case disconnected altogether sacrificing a pretty good character study on childlike innocence for "asexual representation", Bojack's and Princess Carlone's arcs were the one that was actually complete for the season and were actually great when it came to its drama and comedy.
Though the writing has surprisingly became cringier and more Tumblr, especially with the mass shooter episode.

More than usual, I want to boop that dog's nose.

When I was sixteen, I was going to parties and losing my virginity.

It's probably a mod, or a friend of a mod.
Any other board would have banned the stupid cunt for spam, which is what "hey Holla Forums" is.

First episode was really bad.

It always kinda is in this show.

Grats. I did that with 26. Because people like you were fucking retards I didn't want to do any shit with.

How do you know it's the same guy?

If we had mods as strict as the ones on /a/ then the board quality wouldn't have gotten this bad.

Because if it's not one guy, it's at least 2 or 3 specific guys non-stop nagging instead of discussing. And while we keep insulting each other here, that seems noticably cheap.

Hm, weak yes. But not terrible. Season 2 level maybe. Diane was less awful this time. Princess was very charming.

Judah has become one of my favorite characters by now for being so unrealistically nice (and I'm wondering when he'll betray everyone).

Thanks. I'm smarter than you, though. Probably why I didn't wait 'til I was in my 20s to lose my cherry.

lol

Hey Holla Forums

No, you probably didn't live in a stupid ass backwards town where the guys where assholes and the girls were sluts. Now how fun would it be to know that any of them had at least 5 dicks from people you know in them, most likely your friend's dicks.

Who where literally dicks when they backstabbed you and fucked the only girl you thought was innocent, but it was all a huge fucking act.

Oh, it wasn't terrible, especially with Princess and Bojack's arcs being actually good at development that leads to their eventual mending of their friendship that felt pretty natural with what they got.

The other characters just need a tad more fleshing out with what they got last season, I guess?

Yeah. Thing it, it's like some characters don't really have an arc, but HAVE to be there. Sometimes I just don't want e.g. Todd interfere anyway.

Feels-wise it wasn't as crushing as Season 3, but the mom's stories in episode 2 and 11… goddamn.

Nice blog.

Well you asked.

Beautiful ending for all of them this time.
A season 5 would pretty much be optional now.

I know, I do wanna see more on how Bojack's "destruction" last season would have affected their now that Bojack's out of the picture. Will their lives be better without Bojack, or if Bojack is just the spark that actually brings out the worst in them.
And Episode 6 with Bojack's internal monologue of his situation especially with what he's been through with the last few seasons… well, shit.

Well, least there is some positivity in that season. I hope the other arcs that I feel were a bit messy would pick up next season.

user, I'm sorry, but that's everywhere.

I like it because the plots are interesting, the characters are interestingly flawed and the animal jokes are great. I don't laugh at any of them, of course, but that's another story. I'm curious about what happens next.

Overall the season was weak. The SJW shit came out in full force and a lot of it was played straight, but then they promptly turn it around and fuck with it so I don't know which way they're going with anything.

Princess Carolyn's episodes were by far the best, anything involving Todd was the worst, Bojack is becoming a decent human being and that is making him less interesting, Mr. Peanut Butter was alright and as usual has surprising depth to him and continues to be the only genuinely good guy on the show, Diane needs to hurry up and fall off into the Bojack dumpster already, and uuuh, I think that's it..

I agree with you for the most part. One particular note I wanted to add that the "Fuck" this season was weak as shit. It would have been much better placed if Beatrice were allowed to have been lucid when Bojack dropped his "Fuck You". It would have made the emotional impact of her shitty upbringing and marriage all the more impactful. I was hoping that he would have done something like kill her (probably a bit much, but still)
Diane's shit right at the end of the last episode was season-padding nonsense. The show needed to end this season with things wrapped up or something about how life carries on (with Bojack killing himself and people mourning).

Is Bojack starting to be well with himself?

Is his suffering ending and he is becoming a decent horse being?

Somewhat. We got a glimpse of how his mind operates (he disparages himself constantly and looks for ways to deal with it. His Half-sister has the same problem starting to happen to her but Bojack made real efforts to subdue those thoughts in her. He'll lie to her and then tell her the truth with a little prompting, but there was some effort on his part). He still drinks way too much and has a medicine cabinet stocked with stuff, but he did try and moderate a little. A proper, resilient therapist would help a lot for him.

So everything comes from Daddy Bojack's genes?

I just want Bojack to be happy.

His grandma was lobotomized and wasn't in the picture for his mom. His mom also had scarlet fever and had other weight/abuse related stuff happen to her which (combined with Butterscotch) made for a very poor childhood for him (which we knew, but not as well as we did now).

Yeah, I noticed that with a few clips how he was eugenetically selected to be the most fucked up depressed horse. I don't have Netflix and I don't plan getting it anytime soon.

But still, I'm happy to see he is slowly fixing his life. Maybe he might become a proper dad one day?

Download Deluge (if you haven't done it already) and hit the plus sign and put this in the "infohash" section:
40EFBEF7E610ACB51316DCD52D5C9522D2A7B1CD

It's Season 4

I hope the problems are resolved with him to user. The show is losing steam and so proper resolution is in sight. I really hope he can have happiness, but if not, that he go out with a bang. I just want it to be over

I wonder why noone sent him to therapy yet. But on the other hand, the only people who could tell him are Todd, Diane and Peanutbutter. But Todd and Peanutbutter are immature and stupid and Diane needs therapy herself.

Well, the SJW shit was the theme of the whole season. It was all about women in different times and ages with their troubles. But at the same time, it's kinda interesting to see Diane getting feminist at one point despite being privileged and never once in the show being harrassed or something, except by that other woman who manages the campaign.

Problem is, next season would be a bit like the Secretariat season, him screwing up the work on the TV show. They'd have to mix it up.

Meanwhile, I'm waiting for porn of Caroline's future self.

It means their writing teams are shit - either they're out of ideas, out of their depth or just palmed-off to interns, so they're using Tumblr to get a beat on what they think the audience wants. Then they sly-ly walk the issue back 2 steps and think that's all there is to a story.

It wasn't as bad as OitNB or Defenders, but it still means instead of developing interesting character arcs they're grabbing random words and hoping Buzzfeed throws them some free publicity for being "so brave".

No, they tried to find a season-long topic and you didn't like the topic. You're the problem.

And a scared cuck.

Todd should have been written out or just never made at all. He's just there for comedic relief but with no actual payoff in his drama because you just don't care about him. Princess Carolyn's story was sad and actually hits you a little. Bojack's story is a little off putting because he's finally actually trying to be a better person. Sort of. It's always 3 steps forward and 7 steps back with him. I honestly hoped he would've turned his life around more this season.

Fuck literally every single bit of Diane. Fuck her. She's an absolute cunt that does not deserve Mister Peanut Butter and is on the fast track to being a more miserable person than Bojack. She learns nothing from her mistakes and is always unhappy with every single thing that happens to her. Check her in to a mental hospital and keep her gone.

Personally if the next season will be the last I'd actually be content. Since the next season will end up being "How will Bojack fuck this up this time?" thus creating a sad pattern.

I actually thought she'd cheat on him with Bojack this time. But yeah, she's never satisfied. HEY sounds like a regular woman amirite guys.

Well, the Caroline story and Diane owning a gun story are still open. In fact, the gun story led to nothing.

Because replying makes everything better.

Why don't turn the show into the daily adventures of Bojack helping everyone he fucked up?

We had enouth suffering.

Just watch "My Name is Earl" and imagine he's a washed-up horse man.

Or maybe it's bad writing and you can't see that because you can't take it when someone badmouths your sad horse show.

Watching Season 4 now, on episode 10. I'm enjoying it, but I really don't give a shit about why his mother grew to be a terrible person.

Agreed.

It did feel like someone different was writing on it. There was a lot of weird focuses on this season like they got new writers and they're trying to train them. They're probably reddit writers, I did hear a fucking reddit meme in the dialogue at one point.

Todd was probably the strongest part of season 2/half of 3. He should've been written off as soon as he became independent of Bojack though. His current arc screams of "He's the writer's favorite character, lets see how zany we can get!"

That's probably one of the best parts of the season though. It explains why she's so fucked up and evil and why Bojack was so fucked up as well.

what the literal horsefuck is going on, I wanted to give this show a chance at some point and then this gets crowbarred in

I was annoyed because the episode had actually been a funny parody of both sides for the entire episode that managed to be pretty balanced about it, up until the last 30 fucking seconds of the episode.

Agreed, then 8 seconds past and you realise they copied the idea from an ep of How I Met Your Mother.

I finished the season this morning and that makes a lot of sense. Decent start, decent end, middle was pretty crap. That's a fairly standard approach in writing teams (to let your experience staff write the important areas and generally map out the season, leave the newbies to do the filler).

Speaking of one of the newbies….

'A' topic? 'The' topic? The only one that lasted the whole season was Bojack/Hollyhock and that was probably the decent run of the whole season.

The multiple/scattergun tumblr-esque plot-arcs they tried in the middle were duds and dragged it down.

user, your enter button is broken

i'm gonna enter your button you gaylord, don't push me.

Yeah but Diane is "the feminist character" so it might not be an agenda. Maybe they're just writing her properly.

The thing is, in the earlier seasons, she was usually shown as being too much into doing "the right thing" to be good at being a positive force. In the abortion episode, it was a point that, despite being offensive, the song about aborting your baby was doing good for unstigmatizing the ordeal. She was still an obvious delivery for the show's politics, but they did it with a lot better complexity before.

...

"Oh noes I'm an American and I don't see the obvious truth"

And no I don't use tumblr. I just don't like America.

Leave.

Half of this thread ended up in a discussion by people who watched it 5 minutes or so.

I can't stand this show, and frankly, the fact it is at all successful shows how bad modern animation is. I'm not even referring to the writing. The character designs look like half-assed napkin doodles that move like stiff tin-men.

Watched the entire shitheap and the only redeeming feature of this season is that Bojack gets a happy ending and feminist cunts shit collapses.
Lot of dead moments and jokes that made me question why the fuck I was watching it though.
Especially Todds newfound tumblr status is fucking awful.

What?

Holla Forums is full of retards who don't understand anything that goes deeper than "fags in capes punching each other in the face, but the villain is actually misunderstood so deep".

Watched a couple of episodes, this season definitely has a much darker tone. Then again I only watched the flashback episodes where Bojack escaped briefly to Michigan and when Bojack is driving his mother to her new nursing home after she OD'd her daughter/Bojacks sister. I actually really like the darker episodes but I can't get over how much the tone doesn't match the style or anything. Also most of the humor elements fall completely flat. It's great as a kind of animated drama series but again, some of the humor elements just clash with the dramatic tone, shit like the humanoid birds flying for example. I guess this was the writers attempt at comedic relief but it really doesn't work for me. Although I will admit I was impressed when they did finally use this to add to the drama in the episode where Bojack is in Michigan and the fly lifts him into the air.

Overall 7/10. It's definitely above-average, but far from any kind of masterpiece. This season will ultimately just be remembered as the season the tone of the show really started shifting and shit got a bit more serious.

this season probably had the best background waifu's out of the other three

...

My bet is that they specifically chose cartoon animals for the show because it would have been way too dark and depressing otherwise. If it were a live-action show it would just be too much and no one could stand watching it.

I actually felt that this season was overall more positive, actually. Bojack shows some serious development toward being a better person, and good things happen to him without him going insane and ruining it.

One plus of cartoon animals is that they can write interesting, sympathetic characters that are essentially straight white males and still have every actual straight white male be a half-retarded strawman. I'm sort of being sarcastic but if Mr. PB were a human, he'd be getting pegged by Diane and pleading for her forgiveness, so maybe it's for the best.

Bojack truly arrived as a Netflix Original Series when Todd came out as asexual in the last series finale. Anybody who didn't think *this* is where they were going with that has way too much faith in humanity. So now we get a season of: polyamorous gay adoption, teenage girl gets BLACKED, guns are the patriarchy and if women used them as protection against creepy rapey manspreaders they'd be banned instantly, etc. Show's seldom funny anymore and the drama isn't as tense either, and all the characters have drifted away into entirely separate storylines that have nothing to do with one another. I feel like they blew their wad.

...

Runoff to reddit already.

Go back to your cuckshed Sven.

Knowing Soros is funding it, yeah. Bojack just chugged in that Kool Aid a LOT more than intended.

Personally I tend to tell people to concentrate on Bojack's and PC's arcs this season since they seem to be the only ones well-crafted and developed in their drama. Everyone else just… was weak or went nowhere.

And yes, I actually cringed that they made todd "asexual" in the tumblr straightforward sense. If they wanted to make Todd develop himself outside of Bojack or give Todd a slightly daker edge though… yeah fuck that. Tumblr doesn't want their precious queer unicorn babbu hurt, do they? uwu Like giving him "asexuality" is some shit excuse to not develop or give conflict to a character nowadays lest they get hurt by tumblr's wrath.

Gun episode had great potential to shit on everyone on all sides except the last part. Fuck that episode.

Get shot so I can jerk off to it.
Oh wait I guess you're not a nigger.
Choke on your fast food then, I heard Murrica is so decadent, they even forgot how to cook.

...

Hey Holla Forums

Did anyone notice the "uncle cuck" billboards when Todd and Axolotl girl were talking in the cafe?

Also Did anyone mention that the future Princess descendant looked like her plus Mr Peanutbutter?

Yes on both counts. I was waiting for someone to mention that.

Hey reddit

Hamburgers > every other food

You have no way to disprove this.

The episodes about Bojack's mom were by far the best ones in the season, and I don't even give a shit about her as a character

Also they sort of touched on Holly being a shitty person like Bojack, which seemed like it was going to be a big deal but they never really took that anywhere, I hope they get into it more next season

Worst thing Holly did was be lazy and get taken advantage of by a boy. She's not a bad person or anywhere close to Bojack's level. She's just a young girl with issues most teenagers go through all the time in their lives. I'm thinking next season will be Bojack trying to protect her more from the world like he tried doing with the boy clearly taking advantage of her.

I mean like, the end of that episode that showed us Bojack's fucked up mental processes ended with her saying she was going through the same stuff
And then the episode just ends with no further comment and it's not brought up again

This

Yeah that's true but that's not my point.

Worst thing that could happen is that she has to move in with Bojack because her mom is a psycho due to the trauma.

I really liked that the show made me think the guy gave her drugs at first, but they didn't go the easy road.

Well she's going to teenage angst and he's depressive. Of course they've got the same self-doubts.

Goddamn, that hit harder than I expected.

How so?

It's funny absurdism you see.
They also build a bridge to hawaii.

Solid summary matey.

Here is my personal assessment of the main characters circa season 4 that i care to remember right now:

Bojack: Self sabotaging wanker, somewhat understandably so due to his terrible upbringing. Obviously has self esteem issues, constantly attacking himself inside his mind, and craving and chasing attention wherever he can. I honestly imagine if his mother hadn't been as much of a witch he'd have been far better adjusted. I know this isn't an unique opinion. Admittedly has done his level best to do right by his dau-uuu-sister, despite his apparent constant self deprecation and sabotage. Unlikely to commit sudoku

Diane: Bitch. Terrible human bean from basically everything I've seen of her, without the "Excuse" of Bojack's utterly horrendous upbringing. Her family wasn't great, but it hardly excuses her constantly being an abysmal wife, her constant complaining about EVERYTHING nice someone tries to do for her, and her general militant feminist attitude. The gun grabbing episode's ending, and the season finale with her fucking bitching about Mr. Peanutbutter doing something for her that she SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED are the two most recent examples.

Princess Carolyn (Caroline?): Seemed a fairly OK character up until she exploded at her boyfriend and seemingly projected some sort of malice onto him after her miscarriage. I get that miscarriages are probably a pretty shitty thing to experience, but having lied about having three before she even met the guy, proceeding to insist on a natural impregnation despite her obvious barren womb, and THEN proceeding to smash the guy to pieces when he didn't immediately fold to her will (Despite his being correct that having a baby IS INDEED both of their concerns) gives me the impression she's kind of a Diane-lite. The Judah thing was also kind of stupid, he was wrong to withhold information like that from his employer, despite the alleged best intentions (which I'm inclined to believe, due to his character's basically unwavering good intentions (He is a fucking hipster though)). Also she probably has herpes from Bojack.

Todd: Kind of getting grating with the lolsorandom nature of his hi-jinks, and the stupid "Asexual" c-plot. Despite this I don't really hate the character, he hasnt really fucked anyone over from what i can see. He definitely shouldn't be friends with Bojack though, He's totally right to hold a grudge.

Mr. Peanutbutter: Clearly some kind of moron, but generally has the best intentions. Easily the most likeable of the main characters, which is an admittedly common opinion. Doesn't deserve a bitch of a wife like Diane. His main flaw is being incredibly impulsive and short-sighted, though he isn't malicious in any real fashion.

Anything to add?

I would argue Beatrice and Holly were also pretty much main characters this season

I mean if we're counting Mr. Peanutbutter, who still is generally only focused on when he's with other main characters like Todd and Diane, then the bar isn't very high

Am I the only one who disliked Mr Peanutbutter this season?
I used to like him as a comedic relief, but now time has gone on and he's still the same character.
I don't get why Diane exploded over the Belle room, but he should have known after the last time he did something spontaneous to surprise her.
Mr Peanutbutter is the cheap knock-off Bojack, he's happy-go-lucky, stumbles into good fortune, and never evolves as a person. He doesn't do anything out of malice, but he only thinks about himself.
When he has the Belle room made, he designed it like a grand gesture in sitcom, because in his world view life is like a sitcom.
And when he get the divorce with Diane, he'll just marry the next woman he bumps into, just like he did with his last two wives.

None of the characters do.

The show is just fast food for us to watch. The writers literally called Diane "Asian Daria" at one point which triggered me to the maximum as Daria is pretty much perfect and superior in all aspects compared to Diane.

Is this show worth getting into?

I generally distance myself from Dramas (Especially Comedy Dramas) because the characters tend to just be repetitive and the stories tend to lose any amount of theming because the characters aren't fully fleshed out enough to be entertaining by themselves.

I think the Venture Brothers did this sort of thing the best because the characters do end up changing at times or at least the scenarios do, and the Setting itself is allot of fun to be a part of.

In the last season, there's a reoccurring 'joke' where a (white or male) character explicitly state that he's going to do something stupid while being confident because he's (white or male). They think having a white character say something stupid is a solid joke in itself.

Otherwise, it's good, but it makes me understand why Jews need to be killed.

Yeah yeah, leave Mr. Trump.

True, but I had to go out shopping.

Beatrice: She's obviously an awful person, sort of understandably so given the following: Her brother dying in WWII, which she potentially blames herself for subconsciously for leaving the blanket in the summer home, her mother proceeding to break down due to her son's death (with Beatrice being so close to the frontline), her mother then being FUCKING LOBOTOMISED, and her father being almost absurdly inept at actually looking after a child, despite sort of appearing to care about her (Though the hamfisted "OH GEE I'M A 40-50s ERA DAD, I SURE KNOW NOTHING ABOUT WOMEN" was a bit dumb) This then culminates at the end of her dementia-induced dream sequence with all her belongings being destroyed in front of her, which is clearly also meant to symbolise losing her family, and her mind.

Hollyoaks or whatever: Honestly she was just kind of an inoffensive B plot. She was kind of lazy and selfish occasionally, but given her genetic stock, she turned out fairly alright. Her "Better Upbringing" (A little bit unrealistic given the fact she has EIGHT FUCKING POLY HOMO FATHERS) I guess is meant to show how Bojack himself might have turned out if Beatrice wasn't so mental. The worst thing she did was get taken advantage of by some nog and get BLACKED, but I don't know if horses are white anyway. Either way she's OK i guess, whatever.

Is that really the best shitpost you could concoct? I'm disappointed, user.

...

Horses are white, zebras are their black counterparts, I guess donkeys are latinos?

Thing is, that makes it understandable, but overall not a better person out of her. She made some wrong life choices and grew bitter, but from the moment she left her home, she could have handled everything differently. That was the moment where you understood her, but she was still beyond salvation.

Pretty much like Bojack was at some point, she ended up as a trainwreck whose downfall had a cause, but that turned her into a hard to like asshole overall.
I mean think about that, she never made up for anything or ever said something good about Bojack around him.

Well, yes, of course. I thought i was saying the same thing, I guess I just wasn't clear. There's no excuse as such for being a terrible person, perhaps some sort of trauma made you that way, but you're still a horrible horse bean. It merely explains it.

My expectation for Beatrice/Bojack's relationship is going to be Bojack beginning to forgive/bond with her in her senility, and her suddenly dying.

I saw the two last episodes and I don't actually see SJW stuff besides the usual California cancer that already exists.

I even got the maybe false impression they were making fun of it. Also, I like Bojack becoming a better person, or at least trying hard to do so.

It's just Holla Forums seeing things that aren't there, the usual.

That stuff is clearly there user, not even Holla Forums
Yeah they're usually jokes, but the joke is rarely at the expense of the ideology behind it and more at the absurdity of the presentation

As an example, take the most obviously shoehorned political joke from the first season, the comedy central roast of Gloria Steinem
The joke wasn't at her expense, or at the expense of the liberal hollywood culture depicted in the show, the joke was that you wouldn't expect a famous SJW feminist activist to get a roast, oh how wacky that would be. Basically just an excuse to namedrop her without it seeming like they were taking it seriously

Nobody cares about Gloria Steinem, Holla Forums.

That's a lot of assumptions.

Look at this paranoia.

Feminists do
No amount of your retarded biased bullshitting will ever change the fact that they cared enough to put her in the show

Says the guy who thinks a throwaway joke in one of the first episodes of the show its the proof it is being used as a tool of the SJWs to subvert whites

Oh, and I'm the one making wild assumptions

Seems to me that you're just looking to hate on this show and will take any excuse.

I love the show, their current year progressive bias is just undeniable
It amazes me that you faggots can see something like Todd's universally despised asexual plotline and delude yourself into thinking that came from nowhere, that there's no reason for its inclusion other than because some writer needed to create an interesting character arc and developed this particular one out of pure random chance

Do you really expect Todd to remain asexual for the rest of the show? It's obviously making fun of that stuff.

Question: Is it normal to hate everyone in this series?

Yes. That's why it's not for everyone.
But depends on the reason. "Everyone's an asshole" is a more understandable reason than "I'm an alt right faggot with a tiny dick who doesn't think sane, that's we'll never be successful… okay a bit successful during the next 4 years. Also baaaw womyn attack my manliness and oh noes everything is so tumblr."

When have they ever made fun of Todd's asexuality? Even fucking Bojack didn't really say anything about it

Yeah that is pretty much it.

This post is unironically the most tumblr thing I've seen in years, almost made me think I ended up on 4/co/ by mistake
Seek medical help

Are you like that chick from American Horror Story:Cult?

Noone's making fun of it.
It only sets up a new conflict once he ends up in relationship and one of them decides to have sex or society forces them into it or they end up at a TV show or movie and Todd is expected to have a sex scene or whatever.

The typical stuff that happens whenever someone wants to stick to something in that show. Like Diane not being able to stick to anything because she sucks.

Yeah right. What about I tell you I hate tumblr AND assholes. Now your shithead exploded right? And I don't mind what the assholes believe in as long as they are assholes. Assholes need to be whiped off this planet.
And I talk assholes actively participating in assholery. Not conspiracy theories claiming certain people are assholes, but the assholes making those asshole stories up, for example.

You're from Tumblr aren't you?

You can tell this post was written by a female.

Nice, if that's a opinion bitches like then bitches should be all over my dick right? But they aren't. Shit.

Yes, I'm annoyed by whiners overall.
The SJWs are fucking cucks because they SJW to get pussy but don't get any, because they are still fat and disgusting.
The Anti-SJWs are fucking cucks because they accepted that they are fat and disgusting and blame everyone else, especially women and jews.

So you can say, the mayority of America is cuck now. Beginning with the fact that living Gluten free makes you seriously think you're living more healthy in a country that puts fat, sugar and chemicals over everything. Even your pizza looks disgusting. It's impossible to make pizza look disgusting.

Oh and that seems to be more important than realizing you're a fucking joke to the rest of the whole world by now. Putin had to step in for you to talk some sense because your leader can't do that job. Fucking PUTIN of all people.

No one cares about your fence sitting, cry elsewhere and stop shitting up the thread because someone pointed out SJW elements in your sad horse show.

Strawmanning everyone who isn't you because you have paranoid delusions and possibly a learning disability doesn't make you an enlightened centrist

What country are you from? Sweden? I assume it's a non-english speaking area based on your barely coherent rambling

Only a female can be this passive agressive, or maybe you're one of those flaming faggots.

Look how I managed to piss you all off. Maybe I should claim I'm female, just to piss you off even more. "Oh noes a woman offended me, I gotta cut myself to make the pain go away."

And regarding where I'm from: We did the shit first you hipsters try to copy now.

Ah, so you are an ancient Kang
And the Nation of Islam is based in Detroit, so I guess that explains everything wrong with you
Send along my regards in your next communion with Yakub

A what? This Kang?
No I just called you a nazi and turned out, I'm the best at gassing… eh… guessing.

And here I thought you might just be pretending to be retarded
>>>/tumblr/

And what shithole are you from?

Can we just have one on-topic thread without politics and people asshurt someone likes a show they don't like? Just one?

Because enforcing threads to be apolitical is a potential attack vector to shut down political criticism of their beliefs by selectively siccing the moderation against those who disagree with them.

Makes sense tbh
Normal people wouldn't watch trash like this

Bojack isn't trash tho.

I am a straight while male and I agree with this
*crowd raffs*

Where did I say politics should be against the rules? Posters on this board find it difficult to not get triggered whenever they see something in something they like that disagrees with them, even if it's just an off-hand joke or one line of dialogue. It's a problem that can be solved with self-moderation.

I misinterpreted your post, my bad. Anyway, doing what you're suggesting resulted in the issues they're bitching about in the first place, since no one complained about it, they thought people agreed with them and just ran with it. It may not stop the shit they hate if the just bitch about it here, but it sure as hell isn't going to get better if they stop either. If you don't want to deal with people disagree with a show's politics then go to a forum that agrees with said show's political stance.

It's obviously Germany, the country that fucked their demographics harder than the Swedes did in a shorter amount of time. German engineering is much more efficient than Swedish, apparently.

Same thing happened to reddit and memey this week, coincidentally
Dodged a massive fucking bullet, there

I fucking hate the current year.

Well that's what the cliche evolved into.

What? That happened so often!

Except in Wakfu because despite looking awesome, the show is terribly written. Remember the episode where they have a baking contest and a cat that basically pukes out its bread participates?
It should have won, would have been hilarious, but as predicted the main characters win. Ugh.

Literally everything went back to normal and nothing new has happened to change the show.

So the status quo won again?

Except Bojack now has a half-sister he'll probably keep in contact with.

Mr.PB isn't mayor, but it's likely that he will get a divorce.

PC I'll give you, she's back to the start after a lot of trauma.

I think that is kinda the point?
We found out that Princess Caroline waited too long and is now infertile, Bojack is working to become a better person, and is now actively trying to achieve that by not running away every time there is a problem, the PB and Biel story arc was shit honestly, should have ended with the fracking episode.

Normal people love this show tho

I just watched the first episode of the new season and it was complete garbage. Todd is even more obnoxious now that they are trying to play him for both drama and comedy, and the plot is even more retarded than it has been in the past.
Is it even worth watching further?

I mean, that is kind of the point, the world goes completely insane without BoJack.

If you think you can judge a season by the first episode, did you really fucking watch the show?

Says the one on Holla Forums, which likes Star vs The Forces of Evil.

Holy shit finally, but that proves how retarded everyone here is not figuring that out.
And those people think they've got the braincells to judge anything. PFF.

Seems like a waste they spent a total of 2 episodes with Bojack away from Hollywood. I guess the writers ran out of stuff for him to do and decided fuck it, back to the routine!

I like Bojack because its one of the only shows that has depression written in a realistic and believable manner. No matter how bad the rest of the show might be, I can always count on it to be one of the best-written shows of all time in the realm of understanding mental illness.

I'll pick up my five (5) Shill-it Stacks now.

I watched the first four episodes and it's still unfunny shit. There are a couple good jokes, but it's by far the weakest season and Todd is more cancerous than ever before.

...

all of it. in 2 days

Bravo Netflix.

I stole two of my roommate's ritalin and watched it overnight. (the ritalin was an incidental thing)

Apparently Bojack is a real person

Dr. Hu's not my supplier though.

Guess who got Season 5?

You're gonna need better proof that something that came out of your printer

Given the way things tend to go up and down for BoJack, I'm not looking forward to how much further he's going to fall back down this time around.

Bad writers

Jesus Christ just let this show die already.

But they gotta hit a good 78 episodes so they can syndicate to TV later.

lol just lol

Rewatch the scene.

This is not about Diane being right or wrong, this is about her being a hypocrite that is both pro-gun and anti-gun at the same time. Her reaction showcases that she has no cognitive dissonance whatsoever and is nothing but an eternally buttblasted feminist blogger with very limited self-awareness.

This season was shit.

FIVE SEASONS

This better have a conclusion.

He needs to kill himself.

Explain to me why this show is so hated on here without going full Holla Forums.

It's popular.

The writing actually regularly handles political pandering in a somewhat clumsy, if not insulting, way; while it does so by portraying basically the ones struggling with some ideologies as idiots or overdoing it or hurting themselves for no result in the end, they oftentimes flat-out go "you're a bad person if you don't do like we do". That's fine if you accept to let it pass for a short while and enjoy the character development it involves overall, especially when you accept that Diane, possibly one of the most hurtful and detestable characters in the show, tends to be the one portraying those thoughts in the first place, and gets punished for it every time.
The artstyle is frankly lame and sometimes ugly, and while it's accepted and even sometimes cleverly played with, the animation and art teams can definitely afford to be pickier by now and maybe should.
The humor is quite good but always takes a few episodes per season to really settle in, as if they got completely new writing teams each time that needed some time to really get used to the show's style.
It takes at least five episodes before gold hits for every season, which means you inevitably have one or two filler episodes per season, some of them frankly bland or simplistic or uninteresting at best; it forces you to trust that keeping on trucking is worth it.

However, it is definitely a show that's worth trucking for.

Personally bojack is a very unlikable character, I could not stand to even finish the first season. Any other character in the series is more interesting than bojack himself.

fuck off
