What do we think, reddit?

What do we think, reddit?

Litterally and figuratively who?

Villeneuve is the Idris Elba of directors
Bond ended in 1999

He's basically Christopher Nolan but better yet still praised way too much by plebs. Arrival was shit, but his other stuff is watchable I guess.

Kingsman is the new 007, as it was always intended to be a popcorn flick with fun stunts and gadgets, they can turn it into gay porn for all I care.

Since when do actors get to choose their directors?

Since hollywood destroyed itself with a celebrity worship marketing structure.

Are you having a laugh mate?

1) Actors and actresses will actually approach directors they like to be in their stuff
2) For someone as big as 007 himself, Daniel Craig basically has MGM by the balls and can call the shots, he obviously doesn't get to call them, but who better to know who is the right call to make a good movie than the actor himself? He is just basically endorsing him.

Sounds good. Craig clearly cares and Villen is good. Don't pay much attention to Bond films but this sounds solid

Kingsman the golden flop?

What do you mean 'we'?

Who gives a shit?

Happens a lot actually. Actors make outrageous demands and people listen to them, because they don't want their stars to walk out.

Nobody who isnt reddit gives a shit about the kingsman, its vidya tier shit

why isn't 007 a black transgendered muslim woman yet? it's the current year people!

Sicario and Enemy were shit too

...

ftfy

Y r u here then?

Good if it happens.

Villenueve is a decent middle-brow accessible director. They were never gonna let an auteur near the franchise so someone like Villeunueve or Nolan are the best hope.

I thought Sicario was shit but but Enemy was watchable to me

no u

...

I said it was a flick, much like old bond movies and its laser crotch and gold member shit.

Wasn't this one of the few times he actually was playing a character? Or I'm confusing it by other recent-ish movie?

Half of the movie is non-sense visuals that would only be understood if one read the book, and that's a big If because we don't know if that stuff was included, and would make the movie a complement of the book instead of a work on its own. Lots of surrealist stuff without the technique to fuse both the dream and reality specters, which weren't even that many to work on, just 2 or maybe 3 planes, and it drags way too much for an interesting but simple concept
Plus both book and movie seem to be a rip-off from a famous russian book AND an obscure yugoslav kino from the 60's

I agree it was non-sensical and I didn't read the book but I didn't mind.

t. gyllenhal leaf fanboi

Yeah, in Kingsman he played a pussy philanthropist hypocrite that was terrified of getting violent and felt bad when he killed someone, but was fine with having others do it for him.
It was drastically different from his usual "thug nigger kills a bunch of people and spouts shitty quotes" character that makes up 90% of his career.
The user you're responding to probably hasn't watched any of the movies he screeches about and most likely only does this shit to derail as many threads as he can.

hate these meme directors. His only good films were Enemy and Prisoners, all his latest films were trash.

I'm sure that is comforting and convenient for you to believe, reddit.

I actually hate gylenhaalics but it was prettymuch the only film of his is like besides zodiac. What was the russian kino. I agree it kind of did drag a bit.

His delivery is literally the same I TOLD YOU THE BALAA BLAH BLAH BLAHHH BLAH.

I like plenty of Van Damme films, but they weren't good at all
Book is 1846's The Double by Dostoyevski, quite short but a good read, movie is 1966's Enemy by Zivojin Plavlovic, called Neprijatelj in yugospeak, decent kino but seems to fall short in several areas, still superior to 2013's Enemy due to being a complete package
And speaking about doubles and 2013

I hate eisenberg and i hate wiasksskasasawawawakakaa

Here's a crazy idea… how about bring back Martin Campbell who directed Casino Royale and Goldeneye.

How about putting a good, tall, hazel-eyed, brune actor as Bond again and make him do professional spy shit instead of personal revenge stories time and time again
Won't happen as the next movie is scheduled for a strict Spectre sequel, as that movie was a remake of OHMSS without the famous wedding ending

WE USED TO ACTUALLY TALK ABOUT MOVIES BEFORE YOU CUCKCHANNERS SHOWED UP AND MEMED THE PLACE INTO CANCER

Are you kidding me? Jamal Bond is going to be hunting down thought criminals and making sure subjects pay for their TV licenses on time.
I've actually had quite a few laughs with other people bringing up how a real Bond would never for a second consider defending modern Britain.

You aren't the boss of Holla Forums.

...

This thread is literally talking about Bond movies and the new Bond movie. Half of the threads here are off topic or youtube shit.

t. reddit

Tbqh it would be best if there was a single consistent culture across locations.

the only consistent culture is Holla Forums shitposting

Kingsman is shit.

He looks like me ♥

If by 'consistent' you mean consistently sucking dick then yea, they're pretty consistent.

Oh that's what you meant, well in that case pic related is for. :)

bumpadump

Reminder that Obama is a bad guy in Kingsman and his head explodes, and that they refused to directly put Trump in the sequel as a bad guy.

WE

Yep thats what I mean
