Have fun wasting all that time you have to move your hands to the mouse or touchscreen just to do something you could have done in 1/10th the time on the keyboard. The time will add up. Once you’ve realized it you’ll either admit that you were wrong in your initial judgement or die regretting all the time you could have used better. The amount of time it takes to learn CLI and TWMs is fairly short and people will respect you more for actually knowing how the programs work and being able to get work done so rapidly. My first day on the job recently when I had finished what should have been a weeklong project in just over a day my boss was completely astonished and I’m already getting a pay raise. Don’t diss it until you’ve tried it. Seriously, it only took me maybe ten or twenty minutes to memorize the default commands for TWMs. Think of it like an investment. I hope I at least convinced you to try it.
